Bake Shack bay....beee" Is it just me who could sit for hours swiping to the left on all the food pics? I love the beauty of food and the love that goes into preparing and presenting. Which is what and why led me here. I came in during the lunch hours with my British and Nigerian friends to get some afternoon delights for the office. However, choices were limited due to the time of day I came in. But I was pretty satisfied with my choices which were; red velvet mini cake, carrot mini cake coupled with a pair of donuts, which were a PB&J and I think the other one was a carmel salted. The guy servicing us, was sweet as pie and the other patrons that were waiting in the line with us were just excited as I was (they were yelpers who drove down from Coral Springs) they got the last bacon donut, but shared it with me... awwwww.... how nice, I just love Yelpers, we are just some really cool folks :-) Any hoot, I took the baked goods back to the office and cut them in in bite sized pieces so everyone could sample everything. They LOVED it, but got upset because they wanted more. I plan on returning but will get there earlier next time around. read more

Like Native American fry bread, but lighter. They do pancakes, and waffles, and other breakfast treats, as well as a bit of lunch. The donuts are fun combos. They don't make a bunch at one time, so the early bird gets the dunker. They're a bit on the dry side, so eat 'em while they're fresh. They don't keep well. Great service! My wife have been bookmarkd this place for a while and today we finally decided to give it a try. It's located in Dania Beach on US1 which is only about 5 minutes away from our house. We puled in the parking lot and it was packed. Luckily there was an empty lot behind the building so we parked right over it. The place it's not big, about less an average size of a Starbucks. We walked in and picked up a menu and proceeded to the register. There was a huge display of all the different doughnuts and pastries, but since we were hungry, we ordered items from their breakfast menu. I am usually pretty happy with just eggs and bacon, so I ordered their Starter Shack. It has two eggs, bacon, with home made fries and toast. Nothing really fancy, a very simple dish and it's not easy to mess up. My wife ordered their chicken and Waffle. I did like the flavor in the chicken, but it was overcooked and the batter on the outside of the chicken was hard and tasted a bit burned. But I think we will still come back again because the service was excellent. And the doughnuts looked really good. And one thing in particular looks amazing was their cinnamon rolls. They are huge but looks very fluffy. From what I hear they only make them on weekends. So a trip back here in the near future is very possible. read more

The donuts are probably top 3 in the whole area. They all have amazing taste and texture.. Super fresh and flavors so intense! However the food items I ordered (a sandwich and couple of more things to share) were just Ok..they didn't meet my expectations at all (I thought the stuff from the kitchen would be as good as the donuts). So 5 stars for the donuts and 3 for the rest of the things.. That makes this place 4 starts. Definitely will came back for their amazing donuts..!! read more

I haven't been to this place in at least a year, minus the one time I popped in to get a donut about a month ago. The donuts used to be really good and traditional, but this donut was just alright, it was more or less tasty like I remember but a little on the sweet side. So I had an all day'er at my mechanic waiting for my car to be fixed. WhiIe I was there watching a movie I missed the mobile food truck that usually passes by, which really pissed me off. So I decided to give Bake Shack another go since it was only a 10 minute walk away. When I walked in the temperature was pleasant, It wasn't the borderline sweat lodge I remember from my previous visit. I decided to order the BBQ battered sandwich which came with a side of fries($11) and a Boylan root beer($3.50). After I paid I noticed one of the cooks popped out for a moment. I swear to Goddess this dude did not look like anyone you wanted cooking or handling your food. Anyway the table I chose was littered with liquid, so I had to wipe it down. As of note one of the two girls who worked there saw me wiping down the table and made no effort to intervene and clean the table. I went into the bathroom and noticed they finally installed a\c ducts, which is a positive. It used to be so hot in there just using their bathroom you would sweat a liter of water. To the food: The bbq sandwich was disgusting, it was freezer burnt and grossly oily. The bread was almost stale, I could barely eat it and didn't eat all of it. The fries tasted cheap & previously frozen, thin and appeared re-fried. You would think for the ridiculous prices they would at least serve palatable food. I was excited to try out the bake shack based on the reviews. I walked in very excited to only be greeted by a rude woman behind the counter. Very dry with customers and not welcoming at all. Felt rushed and ordered an egg and bacon wrap with a half dozen donuts. Also decided to get a hot chocolate. Let's start with the wrap. Nothing to even write about. I could make a better one at home! Pretty flavorless and nothing but egg and bacon and cheese. That's all. The donuts however were good. Light and fluffy. But as the day went one and I ate another one I really tasted the oil in the donut and they weren't as pleasant. The hot chocolate tasted more like hot water. No chocolate flavor at all. You can get a better hot chocolate from Dunkin down the street. I really wanted to give this place a better review but overall just wasn't the best experience. read more

As of early 2019, THERE IS NO gluten-free baked goods. But it does have great coffee. Pretty donuts. Solid breakfast. We came here to get the unheard of combo of donuts PLUS full breakfasts. Usually you only get one or the other. The donuts were gorgeous and in unexpected flavors. I tried a really tasty dairy-free horchata iced latte. Good amount of cinnamon and smooth almond milk. This place is a few minutes away from my church and on Sunday we make sure to pas any either before for breakfast or after for some donuts!m. They have a wide variety of donuts but my all time favorite is the blueberry crumble. It is a bit pricey but for they are gourmet donuts that are bigger than usual so I don't mind paying. I've seen this place everyday on my way to and from work and have wanted to go. My pregnant wife and I finally went by to get some breakfast. I was excited to try their baked goods and was going to order several doughnuts/apple fritter and a breakfast plate. We walk in and there's no one waiting at the counter to order so I stand there. A table for 2 opens up so I tell my 7-month PREGNANT wife to go sit down. After a short wait, the dreadlocks cashier comes up and tells me someone else behind me was first and she'll tend to me after them. Ok, no problem. The couple ordered and DREADS told them to sit down at a table. She had the balls to go up to my wife and tell her she couldn't sit there and on her way back, rolled her eyes and gave me a nasty face. Another table had opened up and the couple ended up sitting there. I called my wife to get up and come back to the front so I could order only the chicken and waffles to-go and get out of there. If my wife wasn't super hungry, I would have called DREADS out with that attitude and told her she shouldn't be so rude to customers, especially A NEW LOCAL customer that also works 3 minutes away. As for the Chicken and waffles, chicken was very plain with more breading than the thin chicken cutlet. Waffle was whatever, frozen waffles taste the same. I'm not one to leave bad reviews as I managed a bar for years, but you don't treat customers like that, ever. I don't know if maybe her dreadlocks were too tight or stunk and was annoying her, but she needs an attitude adjustment. read more

This review is for donut carryout only. I stopped in on a Sunday morning and there was only two other customers there. They had three staff present. The lady behind the counter began to tell me about the donut flavors, and then a man wearing an apron interrupted her and took over describing them to me. When he noticed a flavor missing he asked the lady where it was. She said she put out all the donuts she was given. He gave her a look of death. And then he stormed off to the kitchen and threw a pen across the room and exited through the back door. It created a very awkward situation for me as the customer. The lady then took over describing the donuts and I picked my 1/2 dozen. It is cheaper to get a 1/2 dozen than 4 donuts. The 1/2 dozen was $11. They are gourmet donuts. Cake donuts: blueberry: not much flavor. I could see the blueberries, but couldn't taste them. carrot cake: good flavor but didn't taste a strong carrot taste. The nuts on top overpowered it. Dulce de leche: no flavor, but moist. Yeast donuts: oreo: amazing! the white frosting taste like the inside of an oreo. Chocolate sprinkles: very good chocolate frosting. maple bacon: the maple flavor overpowered the bacon. it was good though. The inside of restaurant has about 10 tables. They do serve breakfast food. They had muffins and cookies at the bakery counter along with the donuts. There is an attached parking lot. Overall, the donuts were okay. When I want donuts, I will continue to go to Dandee or Mojo. Absolutely a must visit spot in Dania Beach. The food was delicious and the sauce was very nice. I like that they are sustainable and they think of the environment, they don't do straws at all. It's preferred to pay cash here. The seating is very casual and they will bring you the food when it's ready. This is my third time visiting Bake Shake. This time I came for a quick lunch. I was apprehensive if we'd have a place to eat being how small and cozy it is but we scored a small 2 seater at the perfect time. It was Wednesday afternoon and every table was occupied and there was a constant flow of traffic. I got the special which was the chicken salad sandwich which also came with a side salad. I definitely felt satisfied when I left. In addition they have an extensive selection of donuts which all look amazing.
