I visited here for an early morning coffee and breakfast. I was glad to be greeted right away. I scanned through the large menu boards and decided on a caramel cappuccino, hot chocolate with whipped cream, a chocolate croissant, and a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich for the table. We only waited maybe 5 minutes for the coffee and only a few minutes more for the food which was brought out to our table. Looking around, it seems like this was the spot in downtown Baldwin for an early coffee due to many other shops not being opened yet. The crowd was middle aged individuals catching up on the news and enjoying the casual laid back vibes. The cappuccino was delicious. It was perfect for the chilly morning it was and went down smooth. The hot chocolate had a nice richness to the chocolate. The chocolate croissant was perfectly flaky so you know it was fresh. The breakfast sandwich had 2 huge eggs on it which made it very filling. The inside was cute and had a seating area that replicated that of the show "Friends" along with lots of coffee decor. read more

Love that this place is still going strong. All of the menu updates that they have made have been great. I love their salad. This is a great place for working remote and grabbing coffee and a bite. They do have free wifi so it works! It can get really busy during breakfast and definitely on the weekend but still a great spot to hang out. This is a fast casual place where you order at the counter and then they bring you the food. They have sweet and savory crepes and some great sandwich and breakfast options. The baldwiniccino is my favorite drink on the menu but sometimes they have some great seasonal items. It may be hard to accommodate a large party but this place have plenty of room for 2-4 :) read more

Went with my husband and they got my order wrong. He finished his whole breakfast so it wouldn't get cold by the time they brought mine out. Asked for a free coffee and they said would only give us American coffee. Come on! We had a shitty breakfast and u can't even try to make it right with another cappuccino. $ badly spent. I had dinner in Baldwin Park, and the place we were eating at had run out of dessert. So they recommended the cafe down the street. We walked down, and found what we assumed was the aforementioned cafe. We walk in, and get slapped in the face with Friends ideology. Not a bad thing. In fact, a great thing. Friends from top to bottom. Other various artwork adorned pretty much every square inch of wall. It was counter service, and the people were very friendly. I had a few questions about the dozens of different items in the glass cabinets, and I ended up working my way to what I thought were the appropriate decisions. I couldn't find the exact items we ordered I don't think, but the first one was some type of cheesecake with a thin layer of lime curd or something on top. It was good! It was tall, and the cheesecake was dense enough to hold up strong. No collapse here. A fair amount of sweetness, a good sharp zing from the lime, and a nice crust to tie it all together. Our second item, though, I think was the Hazelnut Chocotart. This looked good, but it was not great. The tart crust itself was fantastic. The roasted whole hazelnuts on top were excellent. But the entire rest of the volume of the thing was pure, thick, overly sweet chocolate ganache. I'm sure some people would love that, but I recognized the lack of balance, and was off put. Overall, this was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was unbeatable, the cheesecake was good, and there are plenty of other pastry and food items available for me to try. It was counter service, they were friendly enough, but there were a few tables that were dirty when we came in, and it was pretty slow. Cons: The food itself was pretty ok. A very stiff cheesecake had good fruity notes. And there was a hazelnut tart that was entirely too much chocolate. But they were tasty! Tips: Skip the cheesecake and the tarts. This is one of my new favorite café spots! The coffee is great and there is a solid selection of specialty drinks without being too many that it's overwhelming. I really love the Dubai pistachio latte, but the current special, which is lavender, I love. Their matcha is also really good and not overly sweetened. Truthfully, I did not expect the food to be as good as it is. I guess I just don't expect much beyond frozen sandwiches and pastries from a coffee shop, but they have a pretty full breakfast menu. My favorite is the avocado toast with smoked salmon... I could eat this for breakfast every day. Everything is really fresh and the breakfast portions are pretty decently sized as well next to my list to try is one of the crêpes. It's a relatively small spot, but they have a decent amount of seating inside and outside. The staff is really friendly. I have to say, I am a huge friend fan so that theming makes it even more fun for me, but it's honestly great either way. The changing art gallery on the walls is also a nice touch. read more

I absolutely love the service here! I've been a few times alone and once with a group a friends. It's always accommodating and the clientele is just as friendly as the staff. I've had several menu items but of course the coffee takes center stage. I really enjoy the hot options to sit, sip and enjoy. I've had two of the charcuterie options, the salad and wine as well. I think they could lean into the theme even more though: imagine baristas dressed as the gang, '90s décor all around, and iconic tracks like "Smelly Cat" playing softly in the background. A very fun and unique Friends themes Cafe located in the heart of downtown Baldwin Park. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, free Wi-Fi, full meals, and delicious snacks! The interior decor as well as obviously the name, lends themselves into being themed around the famous sitcom. They have tons of adorable little nods and themed decor throughout. Located in downtown Baldwin perk, this was a very busy coffee shop for a Monday morning! There were tons of tables, chairs, sofas and outdoor seating available. They serve both drinks and food options, along with a bakery case. They didn't have a ton of specialty drink items which is what I enjoy about trying new coffee shops. What a sweet little gem in the lovely Baldwin park neighborhood! Fans of the hit show Friends will obviously get a kick out of the themed decor! I adored it myself as a fan of the show and made sure to get some instagram pics. To be honest, I didn't expect much in terms of quality given that the appeal would presumably be in the theme. Glad to admin that I was wrong though! The coffee and breakfast were very nice! The portion to price ratio was also a bonus as I ordered one of the boards and it was quite large! Easily shareable- I had leftovers. If I weren't so full, I'd have grabbed a pastry but my friend had one of the double chocolate muffins and gave good feedback. As far as my meal, I was extremely impressed with the waffles. They were very crispy and just the right touch of sweet! I do wish they had proper maple syrup but at these prices can't expect the world! My only minor complain about the board would be the eggs. I asked for scrambled and I think they were either a powder mix of eggs or frozen. Just lacked flavor and were super rubbery. Felt misplaced amongst the other quality items. Otherwise, I was very satisfied! This is my new regular coffee joint in Baldwin. I come to visit semi regularly so will plan for my coffee fix here. Do note though that the cafe is counter service and tables are self seating. It can be very hard to get a table as the place gets packed. You might have to be patient but it's worth it! read more

A very surprising restaurant that I did not see coming. I don't drive by this area often but when I do, I usually just walk around the lake and leave it at that. Going with a friend definitely showed me that there are a few really nice restaurants along the way that I needed to try and I'm glad we did this one. The drink was superb and the meal was even more surprising for the price and the amount of food we ate. Really nice service, and definitely a place where you see people just hanging out with their dog, or just having a nice breakfast with a friend, or doing some work. The iconic coffeehouse vibe is here. Yes, there's a big orange couch, and yes, you can sit on it. Warm, cozy, and wonderfully nostalgic, the space is a great spot to catch up with friends or hunker down and get some work done. The low hum of espresso machines and casual chatter in the background gives it a real neighborhood charm. Wait wasn't long, despite the line out the door. Inside was packed! Beyond the fun theme, the food and coffee are genuinely savory. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. The lattes are smooth and well balanced, and the pastries are rich and buttery without being too heavy. I especially loved the guava pastry and the classic "Joey's Breakfast". Both full of bright, fresh flavors and ingredients. You can tell they really care about quality, which makes the experience more than just a gimmick. The only downside is the parking. It's tucked into a charming part of town, but there's no dedicated lot, and street parking can be tough, especially during busy hours. I had to loop around a few times before settling on a spot several blocks away, which did detract slightly from the overall experience. Decided to go to Baldwin Perk after getting on yelp to find a breakfast spot. The decor inside is super cute! They have so many options to choose from on the menu. We decided to go with a tutto latte and the baldwinccino. I had the tutto and they didn't disappoint. For food I ordered the southwest breakfast panini which has chicken inside super filling. As a huge fan of the Friends franchise, I was finally excited to try this place. Their decorations, menu, and overall theme is based on the tv show, Friends. Now on to the food and service. Overall, food was pretty good. I appreciate the platting, but ordering an over medium egg was challenging to eat on this tray. The yolk went everywhere and made a mess. I forgot what I ordered but it was VERY filling. I will admit, the two downfalls this breakfast cafe has was 1. Price and 2. Service. For breakfast, I do think the menu is a tad overpriced. I paid $24 for this and a coffee. Honestly, I think it's the coffee that's overpriced but that's my opinion. The second "problem" is the food took FOREVER. My friend got her food 20 minutes (some Nutella waffle thing) before mine and she finished eating by the time my food and coffee came out. The employees were nice, I will admit I was told my avocado toast would have no cream cheese and it did. I didn't mind the cream cheese but would have preferred without that but instead just some salt. It was a healthy portion of both cream cheese and avocado. The coffee is all things Friends and they had the Friends show playing on the TV. Parking is free on the street but can be difficult to find depending on the time of day. The service was good, it's counter service and a number is given to you after you order your food and/or drink and then delivered to your table. I ordered a hot vanilla latte which is was perfect on this rainy day. I ordered a banana Nutella crepe which was the perfect touch to my morning. I love Baldwin Perk! The location is in a gorgeous area with lots to walk around and see. The shop is so cute and well themed. I love that their hours are later than most cafes and that they're open Sunday afternoon/evening. The place is a vibrant community spot with lots of people socializing and working. This place is so cute, but really needs to make a lot of improvements. For starters, the Friends theme is adorable but could honestly use a little more thoughtful theming if that makes sense. Seems like the owners maybe hired someone to decorate the place and they went to Amazon and bought the first few things that popped up under "friends". Would have loved to see a few more nods to the show that fans love (Unagi, Pivot, Crap Bag). Also, the food menu makes absolutely no sense. Joey's breakfast is avocado toast with salmon? They should have called Joey's breakfast "Joey Doesn't Share Food" and made it a big breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, and toast or something similar. They literally just took menu items they already had and just slapped the characters names on them with no thought at all. The food quality was also meh considering the price. I ordered an egg and cheese croissant (pretty sure the croissants were from Costco). My husband got the same so for two of those and two drinks it was over $30. Honestly, the highlight of the food/drinks was my Cappuccino, but they put a little cinnamon powder Stitch on top which also made no sense given the Friends theming. I was also a little put off by the service. None of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there (I get it, I work in food service too but don't make guests feel like they're bothering you). And also the fact that clearly the air conditioning was either not working or turned up/off because it was HOT inside. Will I be back? I can't believe this place has been around since 2016 and I never knew about it. Not gonna lie, it's not exactly how I imagined it (I was expecting it to look more like the Friend's coffee house) but it's still a super cute coffee shop. Tons of comfortable spots to get work done. The food took me by surprise. I thought it'd be the kind of place that tries to get away with serving low quality food because people still show up since it's a trendy spot, but that was not the case at all. I got the tuscan chicken salad and it was amazing. The grilled chicken was freshly cooked (it was still steaming when it got to my table) and the strawberries on top were big and fresh. For only $14? I was expecting a small salad with all greens and barely any toppings or protein. Plus the food came out super fast. I also got an iced tea (which they freshly brew at the moment by the way) and it was delicious. Super cute spot. Everything is dedicated to the sitcom Friends, even the names of the meals. The breakfast platters looked great but the Joey looked the best with fresh fruit and avocado toast. We had sandwiches on ciabbata they were delicious and all of the flavors melted well together. Lunch sandwiches come with a salad but you can order a breakfast sandwich filled with an egg. Nice people, pretty busy, and searing can be tight when the outside area is not open. read more

I was here from about 8:30-9:30 on a Friday morning and had a comfortable spot and the location was a nice volume. It did get really busy as I left and can see it being cramped very fast.
