I live in Auburn and have my regular spots but been wanting to try this place for a while and just got around to it this morning. They did a wonderful job turning this Auburn land market into a cute little breakfast/lunch place. I had already had my coffee for the morning so we went with a few different pastries. The challenge was deciding which was our favorite. I liked the raspberry scone but the little baclava was so good we all vied for the last bite. Maple scone was a contender too. The service was fast and friendly. The young lady at the register was helpful and so sweet. Definitely will be adding this to our regular spots.

We stayed in Auburn for a little getaway and had both our breakfasts here. The bagels are AMAZING, coffee is delicious, highly recommend the everything bagel and dining on the patio of the weather allows. Service was friendly and quick!

What a tasty stop in downtown Auburn! Looking for a bite for lunch, we stumbled into Baked and Brewed and ordered a sandwich and a smoothie. The gentleman who took our order was nice and very patient given we had no idea what to order. The chicken pesto sandwich was filled with seasoned chicken on some very tasty multigrain bread. The pesto was super fresh! The smoothie was perfect for the kids to split. It was even topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Every toddler's dream! This place was constantly busy while we were there but there are plenty of tables inside or outside. If you need a quick lunch stop, whether passing through or a local, Baked and Brewed is your spot!

Amazing friendly service! I asked for suggestions on a pour over and was given all the choices and recommendations- even offered to smell this amazing Ethiopian coffee grounds - yummy! They knew we were gluten free so he even brought out a tasting of the gf peanut butter cookie! Wow ! When do you see that service ?

Baked & Brewed Cafe & Bistro's Mediterranean dinner menu is amazing! Started with a babaganoush appetizer, then the mixed grill plate for 2. So many flavors! We couldn't even finish our desserts of baklava and galakta bourego. The place was packed. We were greeted warmly and our waiter Yousef was attentive and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Although I've been to several of the breakfast places in Auburn, I had never seen or heard of this one until my dad and I were looking where to get some breakfast from in town. I chose this place because I wanted something lighter in comparison to some of the more "diner" style potions and restaurants in town. My bagel sandwich was good and so was the coffee (which I think was a peppermint latte or maybe a peppermint mocha). I like how charming the cafe is and how all the dishes are mismatched, it makes it feel very cozy. The staff were all very nice while ordering and giving us our food.

Stopped in Auburn for a dirty chai and to support a local spot. The shop itself was super friendly, welcoming, and I appreciated seeing "Oat Milk Chai" right on the menu. They made my drink quickly with my added espresso shot and even had a great to-go cup. Loved the insulation and spill-proof closure. But... the drink itself just wasn't it. I could faintly taste chai and the decaf shot, but there was also this odd medicinal flavor that was off putting. It was watery, almost like instant cocoa made with water instead of milk. Instant chai? Instant oat milk? Is that even a thing? By the time I hit my exit, I'd sipped 1/4 of it but just couldn't torture myself any more. I really wanted to love it especially since I spent nearly $10 including tip, but this one missed the mark for me. Hoping it was just an off batch, because the vibe of the shop was great.

I had a Turkey, bacon, and cheddar egg sandwich on a cheddar bagel. It was very good. The bagel had a soft texture and tasted fresh, the egg was fluffy, there was actual turkey on the sandwich (not that deli meat stuff) and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The sandwich was $14-$15, kind of expensive but I think totally worth it.. I had to have a quick bite while in auburn for work, but definitely worth the money and I will be going back. Nice cafe ambiance, and nice staff.

Arrived at 7 on a Saturday morning for breakfast with another couple. We have been here a couple of times before. Pleasant surroundings and seating. The coffee was spectacular. We brought heavy whipping cream from home, and added it to the big ceramic cups. The server at the register was very nice and polite. I ordered fried eggs, bacon and hash browns for myself and my wife. $12.95 each. She likes her eggs over easy, I like them over hard. Food was served up promptly and done just right. Hash browns: 5 stars. Perfect. Crispy on the edges and decently throughout, with interspersed softness. If God made them they couldn't have been any better. Bacon: 5 stars, at a minimum. Crispy but not overdone at all. Eggs: 5 stars. Just what the doctor (okay, the lawyer) ordered. My wife loved hers too. Afterwards I went back to the counter and bought a blueberry danish and two pieces of pistachio baklava. Excellent pastries! Danish heated for me on request and delivered right away. This may be our new Saturday morning tradition! Bravo, Baked and Brewed!!

I ordered the bail out bagel that is suppose to have choice of meat bacon and cheese and I literally only got bacon and sausage and it is burnt. Paid 20 dollars for a burnt bagel that is missing half the ingredients!! This is a rip off don't come here if you want to waste your money on a burnt bagel.

Stopped here with our doggie because they have a huge outdoor patio. I got the Rene bagel sandwich with the cheese bagel and it was delicious!! We also tried the loaded steel cut oats, which were SO tasty and super nourishing. We were served very quickly and we thought the outdoor dining area was super lovely, especially on a warm summer morning. Would definitely come back here again!!!

My favorite coffee and lunch stop. Uncommonly good customer service and music. Nice atmosphere to hang out - inside or out. On top of the coffee are bagels, my favorite the loaded oatmeal and pastries like homemade. Varieties of coffee to choose from - if you like to experiment. Lunch is salads and sandwiches. I just had the Greek salad with THE BEST BLUE CHEESE dressing like my other favorite version at the Cheesecake Factory. You won't be disappointed! So why not stop by? read more

I will never go to this place again. They would not serve me because I had a service dog. The guy behind the counter was very rude to me and told me my dog was not a service dog even after I offered to show him my government and doctor paperwork. Horrible customer service. read more

Baked & Brewed is the most gas food out there. The matcha straight slaps, and don't even get me started on the strawberry banana smoothie. If ur looking for a fire bagel the Mike and the overloaded are the best. Add avocado to the mike if u wanna get spicy with it. read more

My girlfriends and I meet up here for coffee and lunch weekly. It's a nice relaxing place and the food is very good. Love their salads which you can order the larger ones as a half order. Last week stopped by and had a pumpkin spiced latte, they make the best PSL I have ever had. My favorite thing is that you get your hot coffee drink in a real mug not a paper one. All of the employees are very nice and willing to make some modifications to your food order for you. It can be a little crowded in the am, but their is outside seating. However, everyone will make room for you and don't seem bothered if you join their table. Great neighborhood coffee and lunch meet up. read more

Our very favorite lunch spot! Great location, comfortable atmosphere, super reasonable prices and great staff and owner. Our favorite is the build your own salad (BIG SALAD) with a long list of choices you get the perfect salad and it's big enough to be a filling lunch. The iced teas are great and the baked goods are amazing!!! I'm partial to the peanut butter cookies, usually warm right out of the oven. And a bonus ... really nice patio if you want a place to have lunch or breakfast with your four legged best friend! read more

I cannot get enough of this place. I happened to stumble across baked and brewed with my husband and my kids and my family one day when we were looking for a place to have breakfast. We sat outside and pull up a menu and place our orders. I was so impressed with my bagel sandwich... I ordered the ooverloaded that I ordered a second one to go to take home. I also ordered the loaded steel cut oats to take home. I then came back the next day and had the exact same thing. If you have not been here you are missing out. This is a perfect little spot to sit outside and enjoy an amazing meal with friends and family. read more

Found this on Yelp while working in Auburn. Took a chance. BEST sandwich and salad I've had in this area EVER!! Customer service was amazing. I had 1/2 Caesar salad 1/2 turkey pesto on sourdough. Every morsel was perfection. I can't even explain it--you have to try it for yourself. Many were coming in just for coffee and bagels. I'll try that next!! read more

Heading back home from a family trip with a long drive ahead, was looking for a breakfast place and stumbled on this gem. So glad we did! We called ahead to pickup 7 bagel sandwiches, service was great and prompt. Ordered the Bail Out, the Rene, the Virginia, the loaded veggie and the Claire...none of them disappointed. Bagels are perfectly toasted and the stuffings bountiful. Also the jalapeño bagel was spicy and so good. Will look forward to stop here again during the next road trip! read more

A cute and cozy little cafe. I stopped by here one mid morning to grab a breakfast bagel sandwich. The lady was super friendly and even gave me a cookie on the house since it was my first time visiting the restaurant. It is small and was buzzing with lots of energetic people. To me that is always a good sign to check a place out. I will be back again when I am in the area, hopefully soon. read more

I've been here a few times for a light breakfast while getting my car serviced nearby. The staff is always friendly. My server was new and wanted to make sure that she got my order right. I really appreciate that extra effort. They have a few gluten-free options that are great, especially their quiche. Finally, I really love their coffee. I'm usually a cappuccino fan when I go out for coffee, but their brewed coffee is wonderful and served in a real mug. How awesome is that? read more

Mike the owner has proven he cares about his business and his customers! I was shocked when I walked into my office yesterday afternoon and received a pastry box fully loaded with wonderful goodies and an amazing letter stating that they took my review to heart. They have rectified the half salad glitch! Yay! 'Cause the Chicken Caesar is very good. Thank you for caring! My whole office was impressed not only me! I ordered a half chicken Caesar salad because I was told the salads were gigantic. I received the tiniest box of salad you ever saw. Won't bother coming back. read more

Stopped by this place on the way back from Tahoe. So good! Quiet spot not too far off the freeway, parking near by. I'm a huge fan of anywhere you can drink coffee from an actual mug. Really enjoyed stopping here for a break, good food, hot coffee and catching up on the local gossip from the next table. Grab a seat away from the door, a little quieter and not as cold w the coming and going of everyone else. read more

We also bought a loaf of Meyer lemon Rosemary sourdough to go, which I highly recommended. You can tell by the great customer service and goods baked to perfection, that this bakery takes a lot of pride in the work they do! I will definitely be back to try more!

I asked for a ton of samples before deciding on one and they were totally cool about it without making me feel bad at all. Really appreciated that. Live bands were a fun idea but they were pretty loud, like conversation was kind of a struggle at times. Also not really a kids at breweries person but that's just me. My biggest gripe though is the bathrooms. Four restrooms for an event that size is just not it. Bring in some mobile restrooms for big events, something, anything. It's such an easy fix and makes a huge difference when you're waiting in a long line after a few beers. Still one of my favorite spots and I'll keep making the drive up even though its over an hour away.

Bagel sandwich great. Best Bacon ever. Great coffee. nice baked goods. The young lady that took our order was very sweet. However the TALL young man behind the corner was NOT USER FRIENDLY. My husband and I had never dined there before. We are older and I for one expect more respect. When our order came he in a condescending way explained to my husband that his coffee was not delivered as its self serve in a not so nice manner of speech. When I went back in to order a side of bacon for our doggie he scoffed and told me the restaurant was NOT a diner (or something to that regard) telling me it was going to be $10.00 for 5 pieces. He looked at me like I had 3 eyes, maybe thinking that us older folk couldn't afford it. I was holding our dishes when I ordered the bacon and he asked if I was looking for the "bus tray" and when I said yes, he nodded his head toward the area it was located. Not "oh let me help you with that ma'am (don't think Ma'am is in his limited dictionary!) With businesses closing at a drastic rate due to slim staffing, maybe that's all they could find. This café has the appearance of a charming, small-town coffee shop, but unfortunately, it falls short of expectations. The coffee is mediocre, and the food is also nothing great. I have visited several times, and one of the most noticeable aspects is the poor treatment of the employees. The owner behaves in a condescending manner, creating an atmosphere of tension where it feels like everyone is walking on eggshells, which makes for an uncomfortable experience. Despite hearing about the owner's lack of respect toward both staff and customers, we wanted to give the café a fair chance. However, anyone familiar with good customer service knows that a smile and a little kindness go a long way. It's disappointing to see such behavior in an otherwise delightful town. It's shocking that this business is still afloat with such a hostile environment. I would recommend skipping this spot and visiting "The Baker and the Cake Maker" instead, which is only a short walk away. read more

The food was great but the restaurant's closing policy needs to be reviewed. First time there, arrived around 1:40 with my 7 year old grandson. Ordered and sat in the patio. At 2:00 I heard someone lock the cafe door. 5 minutes later my grandson and I needed to use the restroom. We were still eating. I had to peek in the window and knock to get someone's attention as we were locked out. We were told to use the restroom across the steet as they were now closed. I asked to speak to a manager, she told me the same. I just paid 13. for a salad and they send me across the street! Couldn't believe it. She finally did say I could use the restroom "just this once, but in future across the street it is. I have never een to a restaurant where they lock out their paying customers. I will never eat here again even though they have good food. read more

Thank you Baked and Brewed Cafe for the great service, delicious bagels, pastries and the excellent coffee! Perfect pit stop on the way to Reno from the city. 5 STARS! The drip coffee was great it was full of flavor and body, plenty strong and delicious. It is very rare that I go for a 2nd cup of coffee, and at Baked and Brewed I definitely got my free refill in for the road. Good quality coffee, breakfast and lunch menu with a variety of choices, house pastries baked from scratch, and great service by the friendly Husband/Wife owner duo! You might also find food & drinks like refrigerated veggie items, kombucha, different pantry items, nuts, honey, or frozen items. They offered samples for Thai Cucumber Salad on one visit. They also have their own line of seasonings & chai concentrate (more on this later). The line moves at a decent pace. There is a lot of seating found in an adjacent room to the side of the pick up window, a patio area with umbrellas, a bench, & other nearby tables. So far we've ordered THE BEST Dirty Chai Latte (both hot & iced) that I've ever had & an iced Lavender Latte (so freshly floral) to drink. We've also had a few scones--Blueberry Meyer Lemon (my absolute FAVE scone I've ever ordered from anywhere!!), Black Bottom, Gluten Free Blueberry, & Chocolate Chip with Chai Glaze (with our lucky timing being when a freshly made batch came out). All have been SO tasty with a tender interior. Note--they update the menu board when they run out of scone flavors or they become available again. We've experienced both just straightforward customer service, & a friendly & helpful staffer who answered our questions & didn't rush us even when it was busy. Back to their Chai Concentrate--We were so enamored with their latte that we bought a bottle. Then we had to go back to buy more bottles. They'll be a pantry staple from now on. I happened to see their post about it being their 7th anniversary, so I decided it was a good day to go. Because it's their anniversary, purchases came with a free t-shirt. There was plenty of parking. I got there about 10 minutes before they opened and joined the line. It moved steadily once they opened. I went with one of the specials- matcha with chai cream top. I'm a fan of matcha and chai, so why not both. I also decided to get a breakfast burrito (available only on Fridays and Saturdays). They have a lot of other drink and food options. Drinks include coffee, tea, lemonade. Food includes a variety of sandwiches and scones. The scones were tempting, but I'll have to try that next time! I waited outside for my drink, where there is a good amount of seating. My drink was more chai forward, but I enjoyed it overall. I kind of got used to places giving too much ice- that was not the case here. The burrito came with sausage, eggs, tater tots, cheese, and aioli on the side. It was solid and I especially enjoyed the aioli. Overall, it was worth waking up early to come here!

We ordered the large date shake, which was $15, açaí bowl was $20, and the sandwich was $18. The service was great, and they had plenty of crayons to keep the kids entertained while we waited. The kids loved their açaí bowl too. We will definitely come back the next time we're in town.
