We stayed in Auburn for a little getaway and had both our breakfasts here. The bagels are AMAZING, coffee is delicious, highly recommend the everything bagel and dining on the patio of the weather allows. Service was friendly and quick!

What a tasty stop in downtown Auburn! Looking for a bite for lunch, we stumbled into Baked and Brewed and ordered a sandwich and a smoothie. The gentleman who took our order was nice and very patient given we had no idea what to order. The chicken pesto sandwich was filled with seasoned chicken on some very tasty multigrain bread. The pesto was super fresh! The smoothie was perfect for the kids to split. It was even topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Every toddler's dream! This place was constantly busy while we were there but there are plenty of tables inside or outside. If you need a quick lunch stop, whether passing through or a local, Baked and Brewed is your spot!

Although I've been to several of the breakfast places in Auburn, I had never seen or heard of this one until my dad and I were looking where to get some breakfast from in town. I chose this place because I wanted something lighter in comparison to some of the more "diner" style potions and restaurants in town. My bagel sandwich was good and so was the coffee (which I think was a peppermint latte or maybe a peppermint mocha). I like how charming the cafe is and how all the dishes are mismatched, it makes it feel very cozy. The staff were all very nice while ordering and giving us our food.

Stopped in Auburn for a dirty chai and to support a local spot. The shop itself was super friendly, welcoming, and I appreciated seeing "Oat Milk Chai" right on the menu. They made my drink quickly with my added espresso shot and even had a great to-go cup. Loved the insulation and spill-proof closure. But... the drink itself just wasn't it. I could faintly taste chai and the decaf shot, but there was also this odd medicinal flavor that was off putting. It was watery, almost like instant cocoa made with water instead of milk. Instant chai? Instant oat milk? Is that even a thing? By the time I hit my exit, I'd sipped 1/4 of it but just couldn't torture myself any more. I really wanted to love it especially since I spent nearly $10 including tip, but this one missed the mark for me. Hoping it was just an off batch, because the vibe of the shop was great.

I had a Turkey, bacon, and cheddar egg sandwich on a cheddar bagel. It was very good. The bagel had a soft texture and tasted fresh, the egg was fluffy, there was actual turkey on the sandwich (not that deli meat stuff) and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The sandwich was $14-$15, kind of expensive but I think totally worth it.. I had to have a quick bite while in auburn for work, but definitely worth the money and I will be going back. Nice cafe ambiance, and nice staff.

    Bail out bagel

I ordered the bail out bagel that is suppose to have choice of meat bacon and cheese and I literally only got bacon and sausage and it is burnt. Paid 20 dollars for a burnt bagel that is missing half the ingredients!! This is a rip off don't come here if you want to waste your money on a burnt bagel.

    A really great breakfast.

Arrived at 7 on a Saturday morning for breakfast with another couple. We have been here a couple of times before. Pleasant surroundings and seating. The coffee was spectacular. We brought heavy whipping cream from home, and added it to the big ceramic cups. The server at the register was very nice and polite. I ordered fried eggs, bacon and hash browns for myself and my wife. $12.95 each. She likes her eggs over easy, I like them over hard. Food was served up promptly and done just right. Hash browns: 5 stars. Perfect. Crispy on the edges and decently throughout, with interspersed softness. If God made them they couldn't have been any better. Bacon: 5 stars, at a minimum. Crispy but not overdone at all. Eggs: 5 stars. Just what the doctor (okay, the lawyer) ordered. My wife loved hers too. Afterwards I went back to the counter and bought a blueberry danish and two pieces of pistachio baklava. Excellent pastries! Danish heated for me on request and delivered right away. This may be our new Saturday morning tradition! Bravo, Baked and Brewed!!

Stopped here with our doggie because they have a huge outdoor patio. I got the Rene bagel sandwich with the cheese bagel and it was delicious!! We also tried the loaded steel cut oats, which were SO tasty and super nourishing. We were served very quickly and we thought the outdoor dining area was super lovely, especially on a warm summer morning. Would definitely come back here again!!!

August 26, 2025 Update of any my comments, try one thousand four hundred one (1,401)! My first two of these has USEFUL FUNNY COOL, total forty seven votes and twenty eight total votes! Today yes is a Tuesday, but I went into a High Street Bible Church, gave them a donation! This church "sent" me here to Baked And Brewed! It is sounds like Soffie (I apologize if I spelled her name wrong), brown hair, that helped me! I decided on something call Spinach Provolone Quiche! Was to be $7.85 before tax, on the register showed $8.58 with tax! Because I pay in cash (thank goodness for that, I not use dreaded Crediting Cards), it was discounted to $8.10 with tax! She says, "There is one dollar ninety cents coming back to you!" Okay, so fifteen dollars was enough! That, the order, big cup water! Thank you Soffie for all your great help! As former Governator says, "I Will Be Back!" Yes, Arnold, yes of Your Honor Governator, I Will Be Back! Thank to High Street Bible Church for "sending" me here to Baked And Brewed!

You will also see chalkboards and cases featuring their daily selection of fresh salads, homemade soups, sandwiches, and organic juices. As I was looking for a parking spot, I noticed one of my regulars is also a regular here. We were so happy to see each other. There we were pulling out our phones to show each other pictures of our kids. Since he was on his way out, we said our goodbyes do that I could get down to business... and pleasure my taste buds. First, I like the checkered floor. I feel like it adds to the playfulness of the atmosphere. The art on the walls was extraordinary. I couldn't help but study it. While Robb and Mimi were helping other patrons at the counter, it gave me plenty of time to look at their gorgeous creations. The custom made cakes and cupcakes made my eye twinkle. It brought back memories of when I used to be a cake decorator. It takes time and patience to create these masterpiece. The cakes cakes made with superior ingredients looked classic... Immediately, the giant German Chocolate cupcake caught my eye. One of those was definitely going home with me. Since it was early, I needed something more breakfast like to start with. If you're visiting in the morning or looking for a refreshing drink, they also feature an extensive fresh juice bar where they will blend combos on the spot. Robb was the person to help me. With a big smile, asked what I would like. I asked what was popular here because it was my first time. They said the almond breakfast cake was pretty popular. So Robb packed me up and I was on my way with both the Almond Bahar cake and giant German Chocolate cake! Robb even offered to warm up my almond cake for me! Thank you, Robb!!!! When I got home, both the German Chocolate cake and Almond Breakfast cake had some weight to them. With my first bite of the Almost Breakfast cake.. it was a warm beautiful bite... and exactly how I like my cakes... not too sweet, a little fruity, with a nutty taste. From the inside out, this breakfast cake was made insanely good. I loved the crumb topping. You know I had to take a bite of that German Chocolate cupcake... although it was breakfast time! Let's just say I definitely spoiled myself with this one. The cake was moist and with a deep cocoa flavor! The coconut-pecan frosting was creamy, a gooey goodness. It was a phenomenal contrast with the soft moist cake. I think I can taste that the pecans were toasted to add even more of a nutty flavor! Perfection! Someone here knows exactly what they're doing and I can't eat another German Chocolate cake from anywhere but here! In fact, hold on while I take another bite... I have not even touched the tip of the iceberg with this review on the cozy lunches that they offer. How exciting does it sound to be able to have lunch, and then get up and go pick a dessert after? Or enjoy a cinnamon twist with a fresh cup of brewed coffee? Pure bliss! Taste of heaven! Flour Garden Bakery makes me want to stop in everyday and try one of everything. The price ranges from moderate to slightly high... however, you can expect some of the best flavors in town coming from this delicious bakery. If you come by, you won't be disappointed!

They put some kind of delicious spice blend on the burger that made it so so delish! and the sandwich was super generous with a side of au-jus. Arriving a bit after 1pm on a weekday the restaurant was jammed packed. I waited on a line out the door. There's not enough room at the order counter area to handle any overflow. I had checked out having lunch here once before. It was impossible and I just left. There's a vast array of burgers available and then a few other items too. I had read that locals like the Tri-tip sandwich with horseradish sauce so we tried one of those, plus a 'Tasty Burger' with cheese (extra cost). We also got a side of sweet potato fries and small drinks. The large drinks are super humongous. For a long time I've heard remarks from folks about the amazing quality of the food at Ikeda's. So I was totally buzzed to finally have the opportunity to try it out. It took around 20+ minutes from the time I placed the order until my number was called to pick up at an adjacent counter. It seemed like a tedious long wait but not exactly is it a fast food place either. There's covered and protected outdoor seating plus some indoors too, which is air-conditioned. It was a hot day so fortunately we snagged a two seat table inside, but you have to be ruthless and on top of scouting to get somewhere to sit. I'm a person who doesn't enjoy or appreciate needing to struggle to have a meal. I'd much rather go to Awful Annie's nearby and get seated and waited on... but that's just me and my preference. We got our fountain drink plus napkins and ketchup from a dispenser, taking turns not to loose the table to folks stalking for an open seat. I had a sweetened green tea which wasn't bad. We each tried each other's meal. The hamburger was indeed absolutely delicious. I wouldn't say the best ever, but very high quality and tasty. It fell apart with the Tri-tip sandwich which was TERRIBLE. The meat was extremely grizzley, chewy and greasy. It was plain gross. The tomatoes on it didn't help one bit, and frankly whatever horseradish sauce was on it was tasteless...no punch at all. The toasted bread was limp and I, unfortunately, really couldn't appreciate any of it. It was very disappointing and left a lump in my stomach. The fries were just OK and they do give a large portion for the cost, $5.99. If you come here I suggest sticking with a burger, which apparently is their signature meal choice. The other thing I really disliked was the chaotic atmosphere of the place. It's crowded, noisy and just unpleasant. Plus the flies! I literally wanted to woof down my meal and leave. We did check out the adjacent store and they do have some amazing product. I'm sure the quality is good, but prices are high. Ikeda's is a long standing family owned business and I hate being too negative, but it is what it is. I doubt I'll return.

All she said was "it would be out soon" and we heard that for the next 10 minutes each time we asked. The restaurant itself seemed pretty clean although the bathrooms definitely could use renovation. You can just tell that either they have so much business they don't care much about service or they're just not quite sure how to dial everything in to balance the front of house and kitchen delivery. If I have any specific suggestions to offer: tell your customers upfront about your kitchen wait times. Nobody wants to wait an hour for breakfast food. Make sure to follow up with your customers and ask them if they want anything else to drink besides water it seems like a really easy way to make extra money.
