Very friendly staff and amazing pastries.

I live in Auburn and have my regular spots but been wanting to try this place for a while and just got around to it this morning. They did a wonderful job turning this Auburn land market into a cute little breakfast/lunch place. I had already had my coffee for the morning so we went with a few different pastries. The challenge was deciding which was our favorite. I liked the raspberry scone but the little baclava was so good we all vied for the last bite. Maple scone was a contender too. The service was fast and friendly. The young lady at the register was helpful and so sweet. Definitely will be adding this to our regular spots.

We stayed in Auburn for a little getaway and had both our breakfasts here. The bagels are AMAZING, coffee is delicious, highly recommend the everything bagel and dining on the patio of the weather allows. Service was friendly and quick!

What a tasty stop in downtown Auburn! Looking for a bite for lunch, we stumbled into Baked and Brewed and ordered a sandwich and a smoothie. The gentleman who took our order was nice and very patient given we had no idea what to order. The chicken pesto sandwich was filled with seasoned chicken on some very tasty multigrain bread. The pesto was super fresh! The smoothie was perfect for the kids to split. It was even topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Every toddler's dream! This place was constantly busy while we were there but there are plenty of tables inside or outside. If you need a quick lunch stop, whether passing through or a local, Baked and Brewed is your spot!

Amazing friendly service! I asked for suggestions on a pour over and was given all the choices and recommendations- even offered to smell this amazing Ethiopian coffee grounds - yummy! They knew we were gluten free so he even brought out a tasting of the gf peanut butter cookie! Wow ! When do you see that service ?

Although I've been to several of the breakfast places in Auburn, I had never seen or heard of this one until my dad and I were looking where to get some breakfast from in town. I chose this place because I wanted something lighter in comparison to some of the more "diner" style potions and restaurants in town. My bagel sandwich was good and so was the coffee (which I think was a peppermint latte or maybe a peppermint mocha). I like how charming the cafe is and how all the dishes are mismatched, it makes it feel very cozy. The staff were all very nice while ordering and giving us our food.

Stopped in Auburn for a dirty chai and to support a local spot. The shop itself was super friendly, welcoming, and I appreciated seeing "Oat Milk Chai" right on the menu. They made my drink quickly with my added espresso shot and even had a great to-go cup. Loved the insulation and spill-proof closure. But... the drink itself just wasn't it. I could faintly taste chai and the decaf shot, but there was also this odd medicinal flavor that was off putting. It was watery, almost like instant cocoa made with water instead of milk. Instant chai? Instant oat milk? Is that even a thing? By the time I hit my exit, I'd sipped 1/4 of it but just couldn't torture myself any more. I really wanted to love it especially since I spent nearly $10 including tip, but this one missed the mark for me. Hoping it was just an off batch, because the vibe of the shop was great.

I had a Turkey, bacon, and cheddar egg sandwich on a cheddar bagel. It was very good. The bagel had a soft texture and tasted fresh, the egg was fluffy, there was actual turkey on the sandwich (not that deli meat stuff) and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The sandwich was $14-$15, kind of expensive but I think totally worth it.. I had to have a quick bite while in auburn for work, but definitely worth the money and I will be going back. Nice cafe ambiance, and nice staff.

    A really great breakfast.

Arrived at 7 on a Saturday morning for breakfast with another couple. We have been here a couple of times before. Pleasant surroundings and seating. The coffee was spectacular. We brought heavy whipping cream from home, and added it to the big ceramic cups. The server at the register was very nice and polite. I ordered fried eggs, bacon and hash browns for myself and my wife. $12.95 each. She likes her eggs over easy, I like them over hard. Food was served up promptly and done just right. Hash browns: 5 stars. Perfect. Crispy on the edges and decently throughout, with interspersed softness. If God made them they couldn't have been any better. Bacon: 5 stars, at a minimum. Crispy but not overdone at all. Eggs: 5 stars. Just what the doctor (okay, the lawyer) ordered. My wife loved hers too. Afterwards I went back to the counter and bought a blueberry danish and two pieces of pistachio baklava. Excellent pastries! Danish heated for me on request and delivered right away. This may be our new Saturday morning tradition! Bravo, Baked and Brewed!!

There were plenty of goodies to choose from like pastries, croissants, artisanal breads, cake slices, brioche bread with fruit, cinnamon rolls and several other products for sale. Their cake of the week was a mocha cake! It has layers of chocolate cake with an Expresso milk soak, frosted with expresso buttercream frosting with a chocolate ganache drip, topped with cocoa nuts... WOW!!! The artisanal breads are located on the side of the shop when you walk up towards the case. They have many flavors like roasted sourdough, pumpkin seed, kalamata olive, rosemary & lemon, and more! All breads are preservative free and made with organic flour. I decided to try the flourless brownie along with a ham and cheese croissant. I wanted something sweet and something savory. The flourless brownie was definitely my favorite of the two. It was rich, chocolatey, and had that creamy texture that you want from a good flourless brownie. It was a good size, too! The ham and cheese croissant itself was good and had a nice flaky texture, but I really wish there had been more ham and cheese inside. It felt a little light on the filling, especially compared to the size of the croissant. I absolutely enjoyed the flavor and flakey texture. It was a perfect crossiant, minus the ham and cheese part. The inside is cute but be prepared to get cozy with only a small amount of space to sit. Thankfully, they also have some outdoor seating if you want to hang out and enjoy your pastry there. I didn't get a picture of indoor or outdoor seating because they were a good amount of people enjoying their dining experience. I guess they know where the goodies are! Here! Overall, I liked discovering this little spot. Between the pastries, croissants, artisanal breads, and other goodies for sale, there was plenty to look at and definitely a few things I want to come back and try... and I'd for sure grab another one of those flourless brownies!

You will also see chalkboards and cases featuring their daily selection of fresh salads, homemade soups, sandwiches, and organic juices. As I was looking for a parking spot, I noticed one of my regulars is also a regular here. We were so happy to see each other. There we were pulling out our phones to show each other pictures of our kids. Since he was on his way out, we said our goodbyes do that I could get down to business... and pleasure my taste buds. First, I like the checkered floor. I feel like it adds to the playfulness of the atmosphere. The art on the walls was extraordinary. I couldn't help but study it. While Robb and Mimi were helping other patrons at the counter, it gave me plenty of time to look at their gorgeous creations. The custom made cakes and cupcakes made my eye twinkle. It brought back memories of when I used to be a cake decorator. It takes time and patience to create these masterpiece. The cakes cakes made with superior ingredients looked classic... Immediately, the giant German Chocolate cupcake caught my eye. One of those was definitely going home with me. Since it was early, I needed something more breakfast like to start with. If you're visiting in the morning or looking for a refreshing drink, they also feature an extensive fresh juice bar where they will blend combos on the spot. Robb was the person to help me. With a big smile, asked what I would like. I asked what was popular here because it was my first time. They said the almond breakfast cake was pretty popular. So Robb packed me up and I was on my way with both the Almond Bahar cake and giant German Chocolate cake! Robb even offered to warm up my almond cake for me! Thank you, Robb!!!! When I got home, both the German Chocolate cake and Almond Breakfast cake had some weight to them. With my first bite of the Almost Breakfast cake.. it was a warm beautiful bite... and exactly how I like my cakes... not too sweet, a little fruity, with a nutty taste. From the inside out, this breakfast cake was made insanely good. I loved the crumb topping. You know I had to take a bite of that German Chocolate cupcake... although it was breakfast time! Let's just say I definitely spoiled myself with this one. The cake was moist and with a deep cocoa flavor! The coconut-pecan frosting was creamy, a gooey goodness. It was a phenomenal contrast with the soft moist cake. I think I can taste that the pecans were toasted to add even more of a nutty flavor! Perfection! Someone here knows exactly what they're doing and I can't eat another German Chocolate cake from anywhere but here! In fact, hold on while I take another bite... I have not even touched the tip of the iceberg with this review on the cozy lunches that they offer. How exciting does it sound to be able to have lunch, and then get up and go pick a dessert after? Or enjoy a cinnamon twist with a fresh cup of brewed coffee? Pure bliss! Taste of heaven! Flour Garden Bakery makes me want to stop in everyday and try one of everything. The price ranges from moderate to slightly high... however, you can expect some of the best flavors in town coming from this delicious bakery. If you come by, you won't be disappointed!

I was one of the pie people. Having had Ikeda's Marionberry Pie before, I knew the quality and expected such. The quality was there and I liked how the pies were readily available for you to grab and go. What made a terrible impression and made this visit one I wish I did not take, making me give 3 stars out of 5, was the young woman who checked me out. I ordered 4 pies and two were gifts so I asked for two extra bags. She answered in an annoyed way that they're $.25 each. No problem I said and paid for them. This extra one minute really seemed to have bothered her and it's terrible that she made me feel unvalued in such a short amount of time. She seemed to be eager to help the party behind me, which is great but she had no finesse in her customer service. I believe she could've made my experience completely different and still acknowledge the people after me. She made it seem as if I'm less important of a customer than they were. She also didn't bag my 4th pie which was awkward because she gave me the bags there. I'll be back but I won't be in a hurry like I was before. These small personal nuances are what makes small businesses great. When you're client facing it's so important to know this. It doesn't take much to be kind or provide great service.
