Me and the lady took a little vacay to the dells and picked this spot. Found it on Arbnb, really good pricing for when we went and was not far from the things we wanted to do. Check in was super easy and everyone working there was so friendly and accommodating. Very welcoming. Our room had a jacuzzi and that was nice. They left us a bottle of champagne and chocolates when we arrived, nice touch. It had lots of amenities that we barely used but we still had a great time. Would love to stay again. read more

The Good, The Bad... This little resort is tucked away on Lake Delton , kind of hidden by the wilderness resort. The location is perfect. A three minute drive to pretty much anything you need. The amenities that were listed, we're not all available when I visited, but for the most part what you see is what you get. Definitely not a waterpark kind of vibe, but a nice pool if your kids want to play, and some lakefront options. The service was fabulous. The gentleman that met me at the front desk could not have been any better and check-in went smoothly. Housekeeping was also very friendly. The rooms were rough. I wasn't aware that it was an animal hotel, and as someone with allergies, I should've looked at the fine print. I'll definitely be taking Benadryl for several days to recover. The room itself was old, I definitely left my shoes on because the carpet was pretty nasty. But the room itself was clean. I had a floor level room, and the only window opened up right to the parking lot so privacy definitely was out of the question.! There were two beds in my room, when I sat down on one, I heard a very big spring noise, almost like a loud, "Boing!" Obviously I avoided that bad the rest of the day. My bed was comfortable the linens were clean. Very loud, but I kind of expected that because there's lots of children here. From the moment I called to ask for information the staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. Taylor, Michelle and Betty are all very professionals and polite. This place is located in a beautiful area and is extremely close to all the water parks and restaurants. We stayed in one of there Deluxe cabins and it was clean, inviting and accommodating. It even had a full kitchen supplies as far as plates, silverware and full appliances. All very clean and organized. The only reason I gave them a 4 on service is because they don't have room service and when we got there One of the toilets handles was not working and the stove wasn't working appropriately. I did go and made them aware and in 10 minutes the maintenance man came over to check it, but unfortunately during our 3 night stay it wasn't fixed. But that didn't take away from us having a good overall experience. Btw we had our dogs with us and the staff is very dog friendly. read more

Dirty room. Some weird gooey ick on the bathroom walls and mirror. Bathroom infested with ants. Mold on bathroom ceiling. No bedding basically one thin blanket like a sheet. mattresses are terrible, probably 20 yrs old... eww. Patios are not cleaned out. Towels are the size of a tea towel. maintenance people give very unfriendly looks. Pool is cloudy and smells of too much chemicals like they are covering up some nasty water so we decided to not get in. Hot tub not hot I dipped my toe in but was cloudy as well so just went back to mold filled outdated overpriced room. Rude front dest and owner Jay. Do not go here. Lots of better resorts around here. Was constantly harassed about a dog barking when it was the people next door. Take the time to read the other reviews of how dirty this place is. I wish I did. Apparently Jay is the new owner and has generic AI responses to his reviews and has not addressed any of the complaints in previous reviews. I really wish there was a way to write a 0 star review. VACATIONERS BEWARE! This is possibly one of the worst resorts in the Dells and I regret calling it a resort when in reality this mimics a motel more than a resort. The only benefit of this resort is that the rooms are somewhat quiet. Note you will still hear the people above and or below you, but you wont hear the people in the hall and or to your sides. Now for the negatives: This "resort" is very run down, dirty, and dated. Coming into our room, the first thing you will notice are the sheets that are stained with dirt. Looking around the room, we noticed massive cracks in both the walls and the ceiling ( see photos). The mirror above our in room tub even had an unidentifiable massive mark on it and rust within the framing of it ( see photos). The bed was probably one of the worst features of the room. It was by far the least comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The bed, in my opinion, must have been over 30 years old. It was a spring mattress with 0 give and made loud sounds whenever you moved. It was near impossible to even sleep in that bed and me and my partner both woke up extremely sore because of how bad that bed is. The pools on property are somewhat small for the size of the resort as well. The indoor pool, at all times, was overpopulated with children so you really could never relax in there even if you wanted to. One of the scariest "features" of this resort is in the basement "Delton room". We had this room rented out for a private event. On the ceiling tiles it looked like, in my opinion, what resembles mold. This is right above an area that is a counter so food would be served here ( see photo). Overall, I wish I could give this resort a 0/5 stars. It honestly feels like a motel. You are on the far side of the lake so you are a bit far from the strip. There are no restaurants on site either ( or even in walking distance) so you are dependent on driving anywhere to get food. The staff seems very distant and that they do not care about their jobs either. If you are looking for a resort to stay in the Dells, pay the extra $30 a night and stay at the Wilderness right down the road. read more

So disappointed. Celebrating our 22 yr anniversary and to put it mildly, the room is a dump. Reserved a double Queen with kitchenette at $250 a night (2dogs at $20 each). It's is Not worth it one bit. The room was filthy upon entering. Had to call housekeeping as the carpet had not been vacuumed or sheets changed even on the pull out sofa. The floor in kitchenette and bathroom was dirty filthy. There's a dehumidifier in room and bucket is filled with black mold! They post they are CDC compliant and all rooms are cleaned and sanitized. They are NOT! We are hoping we don't get bitten by bedbugs tonight. Will continue review afterwards with any other updates. Please review all pictures I've submitted. Considering reporting to local health department. Update: I gave the owner a week's chance to respond to my complaint including writing the resort an email and have not received a response. I have booked my birthday getaway at Baker's Sunset Resort for the past 4 years. We've had nothing but a great time! The condos are accommodating enough to fit 12 people. We rented put condo room G (i think) our first year only being six. As our party grew, we've been renting out rooms O & P. We plan our activites outdoors and basically come back to just eat, hang out, catch up and eat. Regardless, the fully furnished condo definitely helps save us money from eating out. The only downfall is the smoke detectors. They're extremely sensitive. I mean it's q good thing but when cooking, we had to have someone stand under the smoke detector and fan it so it wouldn't go off. (We weren't cooking anything greasy or smokey, just simple breakfast, baked sausage & eggs lol) aside from that we've enjoy our stay. Overall it's how you spend your time. Even their tiny indoor pool, we're fully grown adults but still enjoyed the kiddy slides!! The staffs are amazing. All of our stays, they've allowed us an extra hour of late check out just so we can clean up our mess. (In their $100 fee defense, i totally get it. They have how many hundreds of room to clean so they definitely don't have time to do your dishes and pick up your trash, especially when a dishwasher n trash bin is provided lol!) This has been my annual birthday stay and my friends/ family intend to continue this tradition. Ps - in all 4 years, we've never experienced any bed bugs. However, we've definitely enjoy deer watching within the hills across from Sunset Bay! Thanks for being so accommodating and welcoming! read more

Great family place, clean rooms on check in, great front desk staff, decent and free parking, kind of hidden away but accessible, clean beach and pool, just a terrific escape for a few days. We stayed here for 4 days. The reception person was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Got a DIRTY room with DIRTY SHOWER HEAD and SPIDER WEB on the ceiling. We asked receptions for a housekeeping to clean out the spider web and we were told that they are going to come tomorrow since no other rooms were available. We never got one. We have not seen a single housekeeping member to clean our room, take the garbage or change the towels. Other than a cute, small beach there is noting nice about this hotel. My friends and I stayed here last month and absolutely loved it. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The prices are fair and they are dog friendly!! On top of it all, they have free passes to Kalahari! Upon check in they gave us a welcome bag for our dog. I love that they are located right on Lake Delton and that they have a fire pit where you can hang out and just sit around. We will definitely be back. read more

We have stayed here for quite a few times now and it is usually pretty nice. This year the service was very poor. We didn't have any warm water the whole weekend. Fresh towels were impossible to find and our patio door didn't lock. Staff was informed but was not interested in fixing any of it. Would not recommend. Me and the boyfriend took a weekend trip to the dells for my 32nd bday! We had missed vacationing and doing fun outdoorsy stuff. So glad that I chose this hotel for my bday weekend- it has a lot of good things to do. We had a room which had views of the lake, which was cool. There was a neighbor whose dog kept barking- place is dog friendly! (But they're not allowed on the beach :(... kind of a far walk to food, but we did it. It would be cool if they had food on the premises- it does look like there's space next to the arcade. We didn't play games but he did win me a duck for my Jeep. There was a pool and also a hot tub inside. We were gonna try it but we had other plans for our night. After a long kayak trip around Lake Delton (they let you take them if there's any left- first come first serve and can keep them until dark) & then we enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit! They had an outside pool too, but it wasn't open yet. Bet this place will be awesome in the summer time- I have plans to come back! read more

VERY HAPPY with our stay. We go to the Dells every year, usually here, but sometimes we try someplace else. And this year with Covid concerns, we highly recommend coming here now, and in the future. There's a reason we keep circling back. And- If your job/kids school is remote, why not do that here? :) It's year-round, so a great option in winter even. Our room was very clean, Covid rules everywhere with masks required, and even with the occasional plague rats who flout the rules, activitiy choices are spaced out enough to avoid them. Kids, however, will be kids, so we did switch out of spots a few times to avoid them. WiFi was good, so I was able to get work done. Pools were warm. Free kayak uses for peaceful views. Things are a little dated- hotel is priced accordingly. Good bed! Good water pressure! Iron and hair dryer in my room. We chose the jacuzzi suite because of Covid, and it was pretty decent- gave us some chocolates and champagne, too. They take pets when many places don't, so that's a huge bonus for many. It's right on Lake Delton with a private beach, so that adds a ton of value! There's grills for cooking (but bring your own tools), there's even a large fire ring with plenty of free wood. Again, definitely recommended. I felt safe, we felt welcome, and we will be back again. read more

Just noticed this property is not BBB a credited. Could this be because they say they are pet friendly but if your dog barks, you are asked to go check on it even if it is during the middle of the day? This happened to us! If you have a pet friendly hotel, then guests who are there should realize, they may hear a dog bark from time to time. We left the resort one day early as our pet barked and the front desk made us feel guilty that our dog barks. It was at 2 pm in the afternoon. I spoke to Dawn, the owner regarding it and she said we can't have our guests unhappy. Well, at 7:15 am I was not happy when a baby woke me up crying 2 doors down. Dawn was not a very pleasant woman when I pointed out to her that our neighbor was smoking marijuana and had put a towel under the door to hide the odor. Dawn is a very angry, ugly person. She just wants people to rent rooms regardless of the rules. People were smoking on decks and at the pool. It was very unclean. She doesn't take criticism well and was cruel and disrespectful. It was kind of a dirty room. Especially under/alongside the beds. I left with weird bites, perhaps bed bugs, definitely not mosquito. I have been itching since I stayed there. Not sure if in my mind or there are mites or something. No new red spots though since I got home. Staff was kind of rude at check in and when we called for wifi password ( lost the room key slip and was rudely told to look at that for the information) The beach is pretty small. They allowed drinking at the pool, which is kind of awkward listening to people buzzed talking about sexual things while out with my kid. Kayak rentals was nice. Even if the kayaks were dirty and full of water by the end of the day. The fire spinner and Camp Fire Kevin were a nice distraction from daily events. read more

Beach/ lake access, pools, volleyball net, bags, playground equipment on the beach. Free use of kayaks and life jackets. Fishing off the docks. Also another plus the pools are open until midnight. Owner denying it and claiming they are mosquitoes. 3 out of 13 that stayed over Memorial Day weekend at the resort left with bed bug bites including a 3 year old who suffers the most!! Horrible management for not taking responsibility and taking the proper procedures to get rid of the bedbugs. I had a TERRIBLE experience at Sunset Bay. Over the past three years I have booked multiple condos, as I have my volleyball group go to the Dells every year. This past experience, I had a confirmation email from the owner that I had two Canyon Condos, however when I arrived, I was told I only had one. I couldn't believe it and the front desk and owner tried to tell me that one full condo unit was considered two?! How does that even make sense? Everything was last minute and I was stuck without a place for a group of 12 to stay. The owner did try a few things to help, like renting some house far from the main dells area, but that didn't help. I had to try to figure out a plan b, which I ultimately did. I did end up getting a discounted stay which I appreciated, but it was after I was spoken down to and many excuses were made for the reservation not being there. I wouldn't have written this kind of review if it wasn't for what happened next. I had a volleyball player's parents staying in the main hotel of Sunset Bay and after the first night, I received a phone call that they had an infestation of BED BUGS in their room! There was one bug crawling on the pillow and even more at the bottom of the bed. The hotel did offer to get their belongings cleaned at the laundromat, but what a terrible experience! This particular player was miserable and her entire stay was ruined. I would not suggest staying at this hotel. The condos are very nice and affordable, but after my last experience I am done with this place! read more

We just adore bakers. Our fur kids are welcome and that makes us happy. Rooms are always clean and smell good. We loved the fire area with campfire Kevin and roasted marshmallows all night. I would cross this one off the list. Here, let me tell you why. First of all, this place wasn't super-cheap. It cost us about $300 for Monday and Tuesday nights in early September (not its busy season), and the accommodations that we were given were NOT worth $300. For our vacation, I decided to spring for a "beachfront suite." In my mind, I had pictured a ground-floor room that had a nice little private patio that opened up onto the beach and Lake Delton. However, Baker's Sunset Bay Resort uses the term "beachfront" loosely. A more accurate term would have been "disgusting room with distant beach view." While our room was facing the beach, between our room and the actual beach were a communal patio accessible to everyone, picnic tables, a ping pong table, volleyball and teatherball courts and dozens of screaming children. Furthermore, I thought that since we were going when most kids were back in school, we would have the resort to ourselves. Boy, was I wrong! While it looked like all the other hotels and resorts and the Dells itself were deserted, Baker's Sunset was super-crowded. I don't know what the heck was going on! I was looking forward to a relaxing two days in our "beachfront suite," but that was definitely not what we got. I understand that it's the Dells, which is a very popular destination for families, but that's why we went in September and not July. I guess I was just really surprised that there were so many children, especially when the rest of the Dells was empty. And to make matters even worse, the communal patio that we shared with the entire resort was pretty much occupied during every waking hour (and well into the night) by the people in the room next to us. They didn't have any children or anything, but they were constantly hanging out on the patio smoking cigarettes, so it's not like we could go outside and enjoy our portion of the patio. Now, onto the room, which was, by far, the worst part of our experience. When we first walked in, we immediately noticed the flies. They were everywhere! And it's not like they walked in with us; they clearly had been living there. There were also lots of dead flies on the ceiling and walls that had been killed by previous guests. It was like a breeding ground for these big, black flies! Disgusting! In retrospect, we should have asked for another room, but instead we tried to make the most of the situation, especially since we imagined the rest of the hotel probably had a bug problem. We did go around with a towel swatting flies, and we killed a lot of them, but it seemed like for each fly we killed, two more took its place. The room itself wasn't very nice. The carpeting was dark, old and dirty, and the ceilings were low and covered with those square Styrofoam-looking tiles that you put in the basement. The room really did feel like a basement, especially since the one window we had, we couldn't open since we didn't want everyone hanging out on the communal patio looking inside. The front of the suite had a bed, dresser, TV, couch and kitchenette with small refrigerator, stove top and sink. The bathroom was really tiny and had a bathtub that didn't drain properly. We didn't even bother showering while we were there since the drain was so bad, but we did wash sand off our feet in the tub. The suite also had a back bedroom, though it was really creepy. It didn't have any windows, was dark and was basically just a bed with a dresser. It reminded me of some place that a pedophile would keep a child. Not very inviting! While we were there, we tried to NOT be in the room as much as possible. The Sunday that we got there and the following Monday had nice weather, but Tuesday was rainy. On Tuesday, we went out to eat and then to a movie, but when we got back to the room for the night, we really just did NOT want to stay there. It was damp and bug-infested, and we decided to pack up and return to Chicago, even though we'd already paid for the night. When we went to check out, we told the guy manning the front desk that the room was gross and infested with flies, and he was like, "Well, you already stayed here a night and most of today, so I don't know if the manager would give you any money back." We were like, "We don't want any money back. We just want you to know that you need to do something about the the flies. It was disgusting." Then he started giving us attitude, so we just left and drove home. The bottom line is that the room we had was nasty. It's a shame, too, because the resort had some nice things going for it. It had indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a volleyball court, teatherball, an arcade and a beach with a dock and row boats that were free to guests of the resort. Maybe they've just been focusing their efforts on the resort's amenities while neglecting the rooms. I don't know what the heck happened, but we won't be staying there again. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I'm not quite sure I would classify Baker's Sunset Bay as a "resort." A resort is luxurious and relaxing, two words that are not synonymous with this property. To be fair, Baker's looks great on the outside. Quaint little cabins surround a snack bar, game room and swimming pools. There's even a sand volleyball court next to one of the swimming pools. There are plenty of recreational activities at the resort and in the Dells. The inside is another story. Our room just did not feel clean. The furnishings were super old and I didn't feel comfortable using any of the glassware, silverware, dishware, etc. Our group arrived in two separate cars. We spent the entire first day at Noah's Ark, Sprecher's for dinner, Wett night club for dancing, and Denny's for a midnight snack. As you can imagine, we were all exhausted when we returned to the room around 3am. How do I know this place is not luxurious OR relaxing? Rather than shower and go to bed, we all decided not to sleep in the room we paid for. Instead we packed into our two cars and drove all the way back to Illinois at 3 AM. I'm sure many other travelers enjoyed their stay here but I can't say that I'm a fan of Baker's Sunset Bay Resort. I only wish there were more pet-friendly properties in the Dells.. read more

This is the second year in a row that we've stayed here for our family vacation. The first time, we had no idea which of the myriad of options to choose, and ended up selecting Baker's because of the package deals they offered. This worked very well for our first trip to the Dells, because they selected for us which things to do! That first trip was a 3 night trip. This second year, we're back in a one bedroom suite again, this time for 5 nights. It works well for our family of 5. We don't spend much time in the room while we're here, so the two beds plus a pull-out couch bed works perfectly for us. There's a fridge and a microwave, which is about all we need for a vacation like this. We hit the local Walmart to stock up on some breakfast and lunch items (along with disposable dishes, so we don't have to do our own dishes), which works well with these rooms. We bought discounted Noah's Ark tickets at the front desk, and they also gave us one of the $5 discount books which helped us get discounts on upper dells boat tours, and at various restaurants. This year, we took in Campfire Kevin's small campfire performance on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and very much enjoyed it. My daughter played the tambourine along with him for much of the 2 hours, and it's a memory that I know she will have for many years! Free wifi is available, although in the evening when everyone is using it, it can get excruciatingly slow, especially in the outer buildings. But around the pool, the signal is pretty solid. The front desk staff has been extremely friendly and helpful whenever we've needed them. I agree with some other reviewers, that the rooms aren't the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in (the completely worn out electrical outlets in each room are a downer -- many of them won't even hold a cord in them), but we don't come to the Dells to spend a bunch of time in a hotel room. We need a good place to stay with plenty to do, and the indoor and outdoor pools have kept our kids very busy for much of the time we've actually spent at the resort. read more

Clean but small outdated rooms that featured a 1993 microwave and a Air Conditioning Unit exactly 6 inches from one of the beds which means someone in your group is going to freeze their ass off. Pet friendly is one thing, and im not anti dog or anti anything....but there was a dog barking continously our 2nd day n night. Is this a hotel or a park? To start, know that my reviews should be taken in context. This is not a fancy place, but if you are looking for affordable, decent lodgings where you can bring your dog Bakers should get six stars. We met four different folks at the front desk, night time security guard, and two housekeepers. Everyone was very, very nice. Grounds are well maintained. The entire resort was very, very clean. Certainly it is older, but microwave and fridge in room were in great shape and clean. Rooms are decent size. Air conditioner/heating new. Rooms have decent sized decks with nice views. Salt water pool and decent salt water hot tub. Fantastic views of Lake. Small but nice beach. Tons of outdoor grills. And kayaks for guest use. And they allow well behaved dogs, and give you a nice little welcome pack with treats and a doggie bag. Cute. Plenty of walking paths in the area and several entrances and exits make it great for dogs. So Elvis gives the resort two enthusiastic paws up. Also close to everything, with Sundara Spa right across the street, golf course, and a short ride to Ishnala Supper Club. All in all, a great value. Will go back. read more

The view from my room melts my heart!. My family and me spent our Thanksgiving weekend here. This is honestly my new paradise. It was the perfect getaway. The morning view to wake up and feel the beauty around you was breath taking. My family and I had the room with the stove but no oven. Even though we didn't have a stove, we brought a crock pot to cook our turkey in... We pre-made it let marinade until it was the eve of Thanksgiving and we had a great meal! We also gave some to the lady in the front desk for our appreciation=) I love this place because I don't feel like I'm being pressured by all the fancy bigger resorts with their ridiculous charges. I love going to the water parks and theme parks but me and my family like the peace and quiet, and serenity. The feeling sent chills down my spine when I woke up. The room itself is more of an older feel. A make sure you clean up after yourself also approach. (Which I have no problem with, I don't leave dirty dishes and have kids, so I am always clean.) The Have Gas Will Travel package is a GREAT value! I found my new place for the Dells! I can't wait for spring break! Yeah the rooms aren't crazy fancy like the bigger resorts, but honestly, what do you do in your room?.. Eat, sleep, and take a bath to wash off chlorine. They give you great options like the Kalahari Indoor Theme Park and Water Park passes. We didn't get to go to the pool at Sunset Bay, which I wish we had the time to because I have a son that's 5 and a daughter that's 3 so the slides and the size of the pool are perfect for teaching them to swim! A very nice hotel. For some reason, price is different for the second night, but in total we paid $208 (school spring break) for 2 nights in a room with a lake view, I think its a good value. The breakfast is not included, but there is a good choice of restaurants within 1-2 miles. We did not spend too much time in the hotel. The weather was cloudy and sometimes rainy, so we used more time in indoor water parks (not at Baker's!) rather than on the beach. But the beach looked so lovely! There is a sand volleball, ping pong, and even free boats to use. I wish the weather was nicer to us! There is a small swimming pool that kids can use. and sauna...Apparently, there are Friday nights on the beach that have different themes. And a really cute dog that belongs to the family running this place. It feels as a family place, must be great in the summer! P.S. Baker's gives free admission to Kalahari Indoor Park (I have to write a separate review for this, its not great at all) and discounts to their water park. read more

We visited this summer for a family reunion. the lake access is very nice, a relaxing kayak ride was just what the doctor ordered. the grounds were nicely kept and the staff very helpful and friendly. Wonderful place to have a large get together. so wait, why just 3 stars? the rooms. My advice, plan your activities outdoors and just use the rooms to sleep. read more

BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS My daughter and her group of friends (11 & 12 year olds) along with a mom were guests and celebrating a birthday at this resort this past weekend only to wake up covered in bedbug bites. The mom of the birthday girl contacted all of us parents to give us a heads-up as the girls were traumatized and we needed to have the precaution to avoid these bugs possibly spreading to each of our homes. The mom was covered in dozens of bites. She was completely overwhelmed as she now had to ensure each of these girls got ALLLLL of their belongings down to the shoes washed and cleaned out properly while still trying to celebrate her child's birthday. I called the front desk as a concerned parent to ask how things were going to be handled once they had a chance to inspect and verify if the bugs were bedbugs or not. I was completely over-talked the entire conversation by the lady staff. She told me that the resort didn't have any bedbugs and that an exterminator comes 2xs a year (That's all??? Yikes!!). She stated, "I think they're (the mom and little girls covered in bites) overreacting. There's a million bugs in the world..!" When I got a moment to speak again, I was again cut off then I brought it to her attention that she was being extremely rude and insensitive. She carried on anyway... I had to disconnect. One would think that any professional working in or owning property in the hotel/resort/motel industry would be well versed by now on what bedbugs look like. This may be the reason for the infestation - No Proper knowledge nor proper management on pest control. According to the mom, her pictures and videos, there were over 30 very visible bed bugs crawling around the room in the covers, carpets, mattresses, walls etc. This is an infestation and a this rate I'm sure they're traveling to other rooms. Their lack of concern and lack of knowledge (at least they acted like they didn't know) will be at your expense if you choose t o stay here. Everyone knows that it easy to spread bedbugs when traveling and staying in hotels especially during tourist season however, how the hotel handled this issue after the mom of the birthday girl reported it was unbelievably insensitive and careless. At the end, no apology was rendered, hotel stay did refund the one night stay. This party of 8 came to celebrate a birthday but instead ended up being a MEAL to a gang of bedbugs! THEY SHOULD CLOSE DOWN SO THE PROBLEM CAN BE PROPERLY ERRADICATED BEFORE SOME OTHER POOR FAMILY GOES PACKING WITH THESE CREATURES BRINGING MISERY INTO THEIR HOMES AND COULD EASILY COST ANY WHERE FROM A THOUSAND DOLLARS AND UP TO GET RID OF. This is the only place l stay on the Dells. Great for family and a beach that is great for the kids, clean and perfect for them to swim and play. Staff had been great and friendly, always accommodating. read more

Inhospitable! Cheap! Gross! The bed linens were so thin I could see my hand thru them. Worse than motel 6! There was only one outlet accessible to try to charge our four devices and our 2nd alarm clock. The only place to sit was in a hard upright chair or in bed. There are numerous signs posted throughout the room threatening surcharges. "Counting towels" after we leave. If we want a pool towel, you have to bring your "pool card" to the desk and exchange the card for a towel, then when you're done swimming, return your towel to the desk to get back your pool "card." If you check out without all your allotted pool cards, there will be a $20 charge per card. Two signs on the door warn of a $100 surcharge if you don't preclean your room when you check out. They basically say they ain't your mama, "wash your own dishes!!!" Of course, no dish soap, no dishwashing area. No ice bucket. No ice machine! No breakfast. Super thin walls and doors. Dogs barking past 10pm. Kids screaming up and down hallways. The room stunk. Although we didn't find any bedbugs, we will need to wash everything as soon as we arrive at our destination as many reviewers claim they were a problem with them. The general issue here is that they aren't hospitable! They are very inhospitable. Good grief. We were afraid to even leave the room because we were afraid they'd find something to charge us for!!!! Yes, they accept dogs and we had our tiny service dog with us and they gave us very nice styrofoam cereal bowls. Quite the splurge on their behalf. We have stayed in 7 hotels on our trip across country and we were charged more here than any other place much nicer than this. ($127 plus a host of fees and taxes). NEVER again will we stop here!
