Today I had to use a towing service for my SUV. I called quite a few services and none of them even answered the phone despite the call being during operating hours which is pretty typical of towing services. I called Baker's and someone answered the phone right away. I explained my situation and I was told someone would be by to pick up my SUV in about 45 minutes to an hour. A pretty standard answer for a towing service but what was not standard was someone showing up in about 30 minutes and extremely polite and professional! Very impressed with Baker's Towing. AAA sent them to my home because my Cadillac had the key stuck in the ignition, and it would not start. The technician was polite, knowledgeable, and did everything he could to get my car started. Ultimately it was towed to the dealership. I would use Baker's again without even thinking twice about it. read more

I wouldn't even give them 1 star, but I have to because there are no other options. These idiots towed my car (brand new) from a parking lot when I wasn't even illegally parked. When I called, it took them 3 hours to even get anyone back to me. I was extremely late for work. Seriously, how hard is your job? You have to drive to a lot to give me back my car that shouldn't have been towed in the first place. Biggest joke of a company. Lazy work ethic and rude employees. read more

Let me start by saying please don't anyone call this company. Do not give them your hard earned money... My car happened to break down on Lake street right in front of their office. My 16 year old son was driving (so young driver) the radiator hose came loose on the back of my motor lost all my antifreeze onto lake street. Now this happened at 6:45 pm on 3/21/2014. A tow truck goes by and instead of coming over and asking if we could use a tow (that is the business their in correct?) the called the Kent City Police and told them they needed to get me off their property immediately. Bad thing is I just moved here and this is a really back first impression of the type of people who live in this community. I will pay extra and call any other towing company in the county. I only marked a star because the way they have this set up you have to pick one in order to leave your comment. These folks are amazing won't stop and ask a lady if she needs a tow, but the driver hides on the other side of the building and calls the cops. I will tell everyone I know (which currently is not a lot) but every person I meet I will tell this story too. cbt read more
