The orders came with bread, and when we went to pick up the food, they gave us a free salad that they had accidentally made. The service from everybody in the restaurant was exceptional in the very short time that we were there. Specifically, the chef and Tay made our experience wonderful. I would give the food a 10/10 and the customer service a 12/10. Highly recommend, will go back if we're ever in the area again!

Tye, our server, was friendly and kind and on top of refilling waters, offering drink suggestions, and grabbing to-go boxes before we even asked for them! I had the chicken parmigiana, which was light and flavorful, and the steamed spinach that went with it was delicious (and I HATE cooked spinach, but gave it a try and actually enjoyed it for the first time ever!) The andouille sausage that was served with the pesto risotto was smoked and you could really taste it, and the spicyness was just perfect. The pesto sauce was heavy on the pine nuts in the best way. It wasn't oily or heavy on the basil or garlic like a lot of pesto sauces can be, and that left the risotto so light and almost citrusy. My cousin had the harvest garden dish, and they were stunned by how delicious it was. As a vegetarian, they are particular about their veggies, but everything was 'perfectly cooked'. At the end of the meal we were surprised by the panna cotta with the fruit remoulade, which we devoured in like three minutes haha! We really enjoyed all of the food, the service, and the ambiance. We only wish we lived closer, but might make the 90+ mile trip from Sacramento just for the amazing food now and then.

Stephane made the matching appetizers for my celebration of receiving my Court of Master Sommeliers…read morecertificate. It was a party with 11 stations matching food and wine....for 80 people! Stephane came to my house before the party, so that I could pour the wine that I wanted to match the appetizers. This allowed us to taste an array of components to see if they would (or would not) pair with the wine. Stephane had to pair 6 cava/prosecco/champagnes (2 "brioche-forward," 2 "citrus-forward," 2 "berry-forward"), 1 white (unoaked chardonnay), 3 reds (aged Napa cab, Spanish fruit-forward, Italian), and an aged port. He was very serious about getting the pairing "right" and was a lot of fun - we had a good time *doing* the pairing! He came to my house and he and his sous chef/helper Fred were like dervishes getting the food prepared out. It was *gorgeous* and *delicious.* Plus they left my kitchen cleaner than they found it! The event was a *raving* success! Stephane will make exactly what *you* want. This trumps any of the other companies or businesses that I myself could find. They weren't willing to be *so* specific or do a "pre-tasting" with the wine. Stephane came to the pre-tasting pretty sure about what would pair with what - but after our tasting, we were able to scratch some appetizers, craft others, etc. - each of us working to our strengths. Stephane cares about making your party an Event in every perfect detail!

It's so wonderful to have plant-based options that make catering and events more sustainable.

A couple of outdoor areas, some under shade with picnic tables. Located in Marin County, California, The Lodge in Fairfax is an iconic, historic establishment built in 1908 by the Arbini and Segale families as The Old Timer's Saloon, serving as the town's very first bar. After years of being utilized differently, the building underwent an extensive two-year restoration. The owners of the San Francisco bike shop Big Swingin' Cycles purchased the property, upgrading its infrastructure, adding a kitchen, and building a large, dog-friendly outdoor beer garden. You get that feeling that you really are at a lodge at the lake in Wisconsin. At least for a minute, it brings back memories. However, in place of the white and red pine trees are the gorgeous redwoods providing shade. Nice tap beer list with healthy portions served. I had the mushroom tacos, vegetarian style with a little salad and chips $10 and a half a beer. My lunch mate had the summer salad with chicken added $25 bucks which is a little steep, but certainly enough for two people. Served in a very large bowl. It's quite impressive. I would forgo the protein and save the six bucks extra. Great spot, great service, great ambience, great food, and beer. Walk, drive your car, or bicycle in. There are a bike racks and some parking on site.

Great options for vegetarians and carnivores alike! The Acai bowls are yummy (some of the better ones in Marin) but I personally love their Bay Bowl (pictured here) because it's the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I order it almost once a week. I was also hooked on their smoothies while I was pregnant! The staff is super friendly and the food is ready quickly. They also offer curbside pickup through the app!! Definitely recommend trying their salads and soft serve! Only downside is that it's kind of pricey (average salad is about $20 and shake is $13ish), but worth it once or twice a week!

I really liked all of the menu options and the fact that we could choose between breakfast, brunch, or lunch options. They had a great selection of sweet and savory options and I appreciated that dishes were fusion/Asian/Thai-influenced. I ended up choosing the Monte Cristo sandwich which I enjoyed! My fiancé had one of the omelettes and I can't quite remember what everyone else had but each of us seemed pretty satisfied with our orders. I also tried the berry matcha but it honestly wasn't really anything to write home about aside from the fact that it was aesthetically pleasing to look at. The 3/5 stars is because the service could have been better. I felt like my party was greeted with annoyance and while we were seated quickly, about 5-10 minutes into being seated, we were asked to move to accommodate a larger party (it ended up working out because the area we were moved to was cozier) and didn't receive much help from the server with moving our drinks. There were about three employees that interacted with us and each of them were not very friendly which was disappointing. I'm undecided on if I'll return but if I do, I hope to have a more pleasant experience with the staff.

Walk in on any given evening and you'll see families who know each other from school pickup, local teens working their first jobs, and that comfortable buzz of people who aren't just tolerating each other's presence in a dining room. The menu is straightforward. Pizza is the star, with a few salads and limited dessert options rounding things out. And the pizza is genuinely delicious. My only minor gripe is that I wish they had a few more of the classic combo options readily available (I'm talking pepperoni, sausage, and black olives on one pie without having to custom order). But that's a pretty small complaint when the quality is this consistent. They also offer take-and-bake pizzas if you want to finish them at home, which is a nice option for busy weeknights or when you want hot pizza without the wait. Service can be slow, and yes, your pizza will take a while. But it's not the frustrating kind of slow that comes from poor management or inattentive staff. It's the intentional kind. They're not trying to rush you out the door to turn tables. This is a place designed for lingering, for letting kids run around a bit, for catching up with neighbors you haven't seen in a few weeks. Parking is easy in the shopping center lot, so that's one less thing to stress about. The ambiance is exactly what you'd want from a family pizzeria: casual, lively, and welcoming without trying too hard. Lo Coco's isn't trying to be trendy or groundbreaking. It's doing something arguably more valuable by being a reliable neighborhood gathering place with good food and genuine community feel. The pizza is tasty, the atmosphere is warm, and you're supporting a local business that employs local kids and clearly cares about being part of Terra Linda. If you're looking for a quick in-and-out meal, this might not be your spot. But if you want solid pizza in a place where people actually seem happy to be there, Lo Coco's delivers.
