This place is so special. You can have a lot of fun here and exploring different pastries. We came here after walking around and getting lunch. We got one of everything and everything was delicious.

A true hidden gem. Super authentic and low prices. I was overwhelmed by the assortment of sweets and breads, it was hard to narrow down our choices. The layered cake that I bought was delicious, it tasted like buttercream and toffee... really light and delicious. Almost didn't want to leave a review so that it stays a "hidden gem" but it's a great neighborhood staple!

The entrance area was a bit narrow, with register to the right and shelves with lots of yummy looking items. I appreciate they put the labels in English, even though I still didn't understand what everything was, since not all of them had labels. There were lots of "locals" (mostly Russians) shopping baked goods and sweets. After you passed the register counter, the store becomes much larger, with refrigerated items (mainly cakes) on the left, and all sorts of baked goods on the right, back, and in the middle. The selection was endless, I saw some bread, cookies, rainbow cake (?) and so much more. They had huge plastic bags and containers, and you can fill them with the items of choice, as they are sold by pounds. Most of them were &6.99 per pound, and you get pretty good amount, since they are not heavy. We bought some sweets and their famous sour cream cake, which was incredible! I really enjoyed the entire experience here at this bakery. Everyone was sweet, including local customers.

I love this place. Great cheesecake desserts. Very reasonable prices. Lots of yummy choices. Very friendly staff and they have lemons for your tea. A rarity elsewhere.

The whole apple wrapped in pie crust was only $1.50....??? I couldn't resist so I gabbled into the pie. Unfortunately it didn't deliver. I think it was the crust. It didn't have buttery flavor and need some more sugar sprinkles over the pie or something. Whole apple wrapped pie had good crust but the apple inside was too mild in flavor. I will not get that next time. Apple strudel (they cut it for how much we want. I got about 3 inches cut) was good as any good place in the city minus price. The apple tasted sweet and tangy (good). The rolled poppy seeds pastry was good. A whole apple pie, apple strudel and poppy seeds pastry came to a total of $3.29. I asked what those yummy looking things (see my images...) were but she only spoke Russian. This town makes me want to learn Russian. This place was different and unique enough that I'm a fan (4 stars).

Fantastic bakery with a very broad selection. Coffee and a couple of tables available. Awesome Russian run bakery. Prices are very good. Worth a visit.

Amazing Russian pastries, cakes and anything baked!!! A sweet tooth heaven. Everything is freshly made and the entire bakery is eye candy for days. They have the best bulachki c makam (a poppy seed roulette $1.50) in all of Brighton Beach that's is big enough to feed two people. And they have a plethora of mouth-drooling cakes towards the back of the shop.

Heading out for some decadent Russian desserts? Or bread? Bakery La Brioche is a very good choice. We got a large round loaf of brown bread, pine nut lace cookies and a chocolate dessert. The bread is delicious - great texture with crunchy/chewy crust and flavorful inside, moist, not too dense and not dry. The cookies were filled with little pine nuts, delicately textured with just a touch of sweet. The chocolate dessert was, well, think "Ho Ho"s have grown up. Covered in cocoa with a drizzle of chocolate and filled with chocolate richness somewhere between cake and mousse, not too sweet either - a plus for me! Go and enjoy!

It really felt like it was delivered straight from the shop with no problems. The lotusella crepe was every biscoff lover's dream come true. The pairing with chocolate and banana and strawberry is a classic hit and I love that they didn't skimp on the chocolate or biscoff here. The layers of crepe were appropriate thickness and not too dense. I hate when they crepe is too thick and feels like you're getting a mouthful of dough. Not with this bad boy. I like the dusting of lotus crumbs and they actually don't go soggy which is nice. I can't wait to try more things of their menu. A true neighborhood gem!!

This time, we took the F train to Carroll St, walked by a quiet residential area and some busier streets. We ordered and paid by the entrance, given a number and looked for seats. Tables for 4, and along the long counter in the front area; small counter for 3, and 2 round tables in the back, where the restroom also is. Got a reg scoop of Coffee bean- small scoop, with specks of coffee; and a Warm brownie sundae - small for the price of almost $17- 1 regular scoop of ice cream, flanked by brownie (was good, soft and warm), covered with fudge. Asked for whipped cream and cherry on the side. Missing the shaved chocolate. Atmosphere is not lively for a soda fountain but I loved the decor/old pharmacy items. Employees were just working, with straight-faces/no smiles.

The place itself has a rather old timey vibe to it, which makes it quaint. The service was fast and friendly. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend checking out Brooklyn Farmacy.

I asked if there was any way to fix this, and right away, the hostess brought us to another table with a much better view of that magnificent manhattan skyline and river. Then the food. Omg the food. We each ordered our main, after which they bring out an enormous tray of all these lovely nibble salads, pickles, dips, and pita. I don't eat wheat, and haven't my entire life, so I usually don't say anything about it if it seems to me the place doesn't cater to that sort of restriction. The server noticed however, and offered sliced cucumbers for the dips. Such a lovely detail, brava. Did I mention how deeeeeeeelicious everything was? Hubby had the steak shishlika which was perfectly tender and charred at once. I had the chicken shishlika which was good, but not the wow of the steak. Each and every salad, dip, pickle etc was perfectly spiced, cooked, presented. The nuances were just right. Nothing too precious or sideways. Just honest, well built yummy food. And the fries. You MUST get the fries. We ordered the tahini ranch along with the tahini catsup. In my opinion, that wasn't necessary. But if you're a ranch lover, go for it. Then the dessert! Soft serve with a cherry reduction and some kind of flourless chocolate brownie... I don't need to say more. The service was excellent. The food delicious. The view was perfect, though no one celebrated the sun going down like I was told they do. We will go back, with four or more so we can finish all the food. We left way too much behind since we were heading out after and not home. Lesson learned: laser wolf is a great celebration/date night venue for all the right reasons.
