I originally wanted to go with an in-store bakery, but after finding Cheyberries on Yelp and seeing how beautiful her cakes were, I decided to give her a try. All communication was done by email with a couple text messages. Cheyberries responded to all inquiries and follow up questions in a timely manner. Before committing, I ordered a sample cake box so my family and I could taste the cake. We choose vanilla batter with blue buttercream icing on the inside and outside. Everyone agreed that the cake was good, so we placed a deposit for the cake. We also received a dozen free cupcakes through one of her promotional emails. On the day of the event, Cheyberries delivered the cake directly to our venue on time. Long story short, the cake turned out even more beautiful than I imagined and was one of the highlights of the event. It was literally the talk of the room! For example, I have been to plenty of events where people politely take a slice of cake, but I have never seen guests go back for seconds and finish the entire cake before the event was even over. There were people asking for more cake to take a slice home but it was all devoured! It really was that good. Not only was the design stunning, but the cake tasted just as amazing as it looked. The cake was moist, flavorful, and just right with the sweetness. I would order from Cheyberries again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful, delicious custom cake.

When signing up, you have to choose a location and the downey location is the closest to me, which is where I can only redeem the reward. When entering, it was empty and 2 young girls were working but I was not welcomed in or greeted. I told them I was here to redeem the reward and they then asked what flavor I wanted. I took a moment to look in their display cabinet to see which flavors they had left (there were only 3 visible flavors inside the cabinet) but then I was told all the flavors were available... I think it would be helpful to atleast have 1 bundlet cake displayed next to each flavor so customers can visually see which one they want not just read the cake flavors. I chose the chocolate- chocolate chip flavor and it was good. The cake itself was fluffy & moist while the frosting has a light creamy balance to the cake. I enjoyed it because it wasn't overly sweet but the chocolate chip was very subtle, a bit nonexistent and more like another chocolate cake imo.
