My favorite place to visit whenever I am closed the City of Cerritos. Cafe 86 sell the most delicious Ube drinks, snacks pasties. One of my favorite is the their Ube Upside Down, Halo Halo. Service is superb and friendly. Sitting area was perfectly setup for short stop snacking... very casual inviting setting. Perfect for everyone to sit, relax and enjoy ube halo halo

This is by far one of my favorite spots to get Filipino inspired desserts with a twist. The location is small with limited seating, but the service is quick and the staff is friendly.

Back again... Cookie Monster and Halo Halo are our fam favorites. Ambiance is enjoyable as we get to sit and enjoy our treats. Service interaction is always pleasant.

This was my second time being here and it didn't disappoint. It was pretty busy on a weekday evening. Perfect for a dessert after dinner or hang out. The café vibe is very casual and good for catching up with family/friends. The Ube desserts were very yummy. We tried the Ube butter bar, Ube truffle, and Ube cracked cheesecake. Last time I had Ube poptart. The Ube flavor is Rich. The desserts are not too sweet. Definitely good sweetness for Asian parents. Also, the purple color and aesthetic is very nice. Would come again when I'm in the area.

We were in the area and decided to stop by. We ordered the ube cake, ube ice cream and halo halo. Honestly the cake was super sweet, I knew it would be but it was sweeter than I expected. The ice cream was really good, I enjoyed it. My fiancé ordered the halo halo and he loved it. He said it was really good, nothing was overpowering. Staff was also kind and helpful. We weren't able to sit inside though because space was limited.

I visited Cafe 86 after being told that another Cafe 86 had some of the best and most authentic halo halo out here. The store itself is small and well-designed like a cool place to grab some drinks and desserts with a group of friends. The person working there was nice and made our halo halo quickly and well. Unfortunately, the halo halo was not very authentic and was very brown sugar heavy. I thought it was just ok.

The ube latte is a nice drink and very trendy, but theirs is definitely more on the sweet side with NO coffee at all. In fact calling it a 'latte' is a bit of a stretch when it's just ube syrup and milk, but if you want just milk, it's fine.

Perfect dessert place. They have so many things to choose from, you'll have a hard time deciding. Love their upside down halo halo, it's so refreshing. Love that they don't skimp on the ingredients. That's what truly makes it special.

First time visiting Cafe 86 with family for dessert! It's a tiny Cafe serving Filipino flavored desserts, coffee, teas, smoothies, and sandwiches. On a Sunday afternoon post lunch, there were just a few customers present. Our party of 5 was fortunate to get seats together. The turon pop tart caught my attention but I decided on something familiar which was a scoop of ube ice cream. Smooth, creamy and delicious! Fam members that got the same thing agreed. My cousin did get the turon pop tart but thought it's just okay. The gal at the counter that took our order was pleasant. There are brick walls and some Star Wars decor. The disability parking spaces were not close by in the plaza and already occupied. We managed okay parking in a regular spot that was next to a delivery/pickup spot that was clear. As far as regular parking spots, there were many on a Sunday afternoon. The plaza has a Market, a bakery, a restaurant, and shops nearby. I found out there is actually another Cafe 86 closer to me. This is a Cafe that I would introduce out of town family members to. 4 stars!

Great overload of ube this place is great if you Ube. They have a great version of Halo Halo. And a upside down version of it such is my favorite. They have many Filipino deserts. From drinks to baked goods. It's a cozy place inside and ever so often Jokoy comes in. And he has done some meetups But besides that the desserts are amazing. It is always a bit busy. But they work fast. Fair warning. Don't come here if you are on a diet. This place will wreck you it's so delicious. You will be back soon. It's a great place to go to after dinner. And they have a couch if you need to sit.

Came here last Sunday for dessert after lunch at Daniela's to introduce my long-lost pinay friend to Cafe 86. I have posted reviews for the other locations in Chino and Tustin, I really love this place. Cafe 86 specializes in Ube, and they do it exceptionally well. The vibrant purple color is just as appealing as the taste. If you're looking for unique and delicious Filipino-inspired treats, especially those featuring ube, this is definitely the spot to check out. My faves are the Ube Butter Bar, Ube Truffle and Ube Leche Flan Cupcake. I've also tried and recommend the Ube Latte for those who prefer no caffeine. It was a perfect day to try their signature Halo Halo and it did not disappoint. I even love the frosted flakes in it (instead of pinipig) and all the ingredients that came with it. Authentic!

This establishment is small but clean and welcoming. Staff are excellent...very helpful with recommendations. This is a Filipino infusion of desserts and drinks (specifically ube). They're well known for their upside down halo-halo. A must try.

I've been coming to this location for years. Parking is always tight as they share it with multiple businesses but I just love coming to support Cafe 86 and the Luisa and Son's bakery next door. Everyone is usually really friendly here but the drinks are always on point and you're able to make modifications. Ube everything pastries are located here. The pastries actually taste like the ube it claims in their titles haha. Their ube leche flan cupcakes are one of their most popular- but my personal top two favorites are the ube butter bar, ube truffles and the ube cheesecake. I have yet to give their pop tarts a try. They also have a few non ube treats like Milo (chocolate) cupcake and a mais (corn) bar. Their halo halo upside down is one of my favorites on a hot summer day and if I have a sweet tooth on a particular day I will ask to top it with ube ice cream for an ube overload haha. They have two tables that are a four top- and two stool tables against the windows that hold three people. Two additional couches on the side for casual catch up or solo dates. Seating is tight here so I can't necessarily say it's a good study spot but I'd say it's an option since they do have wifi. Bathroom is a hit or miss at this location as they're usually busy and don't upkeep it.

Parking: They're located in a high foot traffic plaza, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. The tables and seats were kept clean. There's cute decor from the ceiling as well. This is the type of spot where you'd bring your family with younger kids for something sweet, while the adults sit and talk. When we visited, my family and one other family pretty much took up all the tables lol. Service: There was only one worker behind the counter serving and making the drinks and desserts. She doesn't acknowledge anyone. It wasn't too busy, but throughput took a while since she was by herself. There's two kiosk to order from. You don't really interact with the worker until she brings out your order. Desserts & drinks: We ordered a mixture of almost everything. We noticed there were a few menu items that were out of stock. I ordered a mango pamelo sago, my sister ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, my cousin ordered an americano, and my other cousin ordered a strawberry & cream eggette. I thought the mango pamelo sago was okay; the mango flavor was lacking except for the actual mangos. There was plenty of sago, but I thought this dessert was underwhelming. My sister thought the boba was okay bc it had an interesting texture, and the drink itself was lightly sweet than what she's used to. My cousin thought the coffee was okay. The only thing we all enjoyed was the eggette. It's a bubble waffle with ice cream and fresh fruits, which is pretty difficult to mess up. Pricing: Prices are pretty high for the portions offered. Overall, the desserts were underwhelming and some didn't meet our expectations. The eggettes are most likely the only thing we'll come back for.

The ice cream here is honestly horrible. It is aggressively, tooth-achingly sweet--to the point where it feels like you're eating straight corn syrup. If you're looking for actual flavor, look elsewhere; this stuff just tastes like "diabetes in a cup." To make matters worse, the consistency is a mess. It melts way too fast, turning into a sugary soup before you can even get through half of it. I also made the mistake of buying a tub to take home once, only to realize the expiration date was incredibly soon. For the price they charge, you'd expect high-quality ingredients and a decent shelf life, but it just feels cheap and poorly made. Save your money and your health. I won't be coming back. PS.
