Edit: Manager gave me a refund for quoting the dress at 30 dollars. Will change my rating when i get the refund. Before bringing the dress in, we called the store and were told the alteration would cost around $25-$30. When we arrived in person, we were initially quoted $50, but once we clarified that we did not want the dress cleaned, the price was again adjusted down to $25-$30. Based on that, we expected the final charge to reflect that estimate. However, when we came to pick up the dress, we were charged $50 without explanation. When I raised the issue, I was told that estimates can sometimes be wrong, with little apology or accountability. After I paid and left, an employee came outside and told me there had been a mistake -- that the higher charge was because the dress had been cleaned -- and that the correct amount should have been closer to $30. She said a manager would follow up. Later, the manager contacted my wife and contradicted that explanation, saying the dress had not been cleaned and that they only called because I was upset. My wife clarified that we weren't upset about the price itself, but about the constant inconsistencies. This location has given us conflicting information throughout -- from pricing to the services actually performed. It was a frustrating experience overall, and we won't be returning. read more

Horrible service - My office has tried to use the pickup service at first it seemed great using the app and receiving the text messages to request for pickup but they have delivered someone else's shirts more than once. Even though you respond to the text message if you have a pickup, they don't always pickup. You call the store to try and get it resolved, and they don't care. I'm surprised they have any 5-star reviews if this is the kind of service they provide. read more

Bakkers had dry cleaned a dress for me several times before, but last time, the colors bled. Cindy went above and beyond to make it right, with excellent communication throughout the process. Bakkers was not able to remove the color from the white portions, but located a replacement dress, tested to make sure that the colors did not bleed on this one, and had it altered to match my original dress! They also compensated me for cleaning and more! Customer service lives at Bakkers! Cleaning isnt cheap, but they stand behind their work and really do care about the customer! read more

The chemical they used on my suit is harmful to human body. It has been hung out for 3 months but the chemical is so strong still. They screwed up my expensive suit. Plus it also has been shrieked since picked up. Not a good place for sustainable cleaning. read more

After being given the runaround, poor communication and an astronomical estimate from Corry's in Edmonds, I took the drive to Kirkland to Bakker's where I was treated with kindness, great communication and best of all, they did an amazing job on my filthy (but gorgeous and expensive) faux chinchilla coat. They even kept it an extra day and did some water cleaning on it. And for how much you ask?? $26.00. Know how much Corry's quoted me?? $315.00!! No wonder they have an average 1 star rating!! Super bummed. I received a coupon after my first time dry cleaning with Bakker's, which I was excited about. I went back a week and a half later pleased that I had a coupon, only to be told at pick-up I couldn't use it because I didn't use it at drop off. Mind you, they didn't ask if I had any coupons at drop off nor did they don't ask for payment until pick-up, so most would think they would take coupons then. The coupon would've saved me $25 so in the grand scheme of things not a big deal, but bummed that they were not more flexible nor did they seem to care about the situation in the slightest. read more

Don't go there even it is the last dry cleaning in the world! I dropped my tuxedo there at evening and they charged me for special service too 33$ , when I arrived home i changed my mine and 2 hours later I called to cancel my order and wanted to pick it up tomorrow, when i came back there, they said our answering machine doesn't work, so we started cleaning and you can pick it up today afternoon, i came back that day afternoon, they gave me a garbage. Dropped button , inside tearing. After talking he said you can go other side of the street and fix that!!!!!! Imagine!!!! When he saw I'm super angry, he said that come back tomorrow morning and talk to my manager. I came back and talk to a woman in there, she said that i fix it and nobody sees that!!!!!! She fixed terribly. I told her refund it, she said that I'm not manger you should come back tomorrow, I came back next day! Another woman was in there and she didn't know what is happened after explaining she didn't believe and said I should see that! After seeing my face , she knew I'm angry, refund me 12.36 $ but i paid 33 $ with tax for 2 tuxedo, it means she should pay around 15$. I took two shirts here for drycleaning that I didn't want to risk ruining myself. They were just the right size to fit me and I felt like they would shrink if not handled properly. I got one of the shirts back and it looked pressed and nice so I put it in my closet still in the plastic. A week and a half later when I went to wear the shirt, I pulled it out and it was almost unsalvageably wrinkled upon closer inspection. I tried pressing it myself and the wrinkles were so set in it seemed impossible to get them out. I had to give up and I think I'll just take it to another dry cleaner to fix. It's like Bakker's wadded it up into a ball and pressed it between two steel blocks before trying to really do it. Unacceptable. To boot, it was $20+ for two shirts and they ruined one of them that was $100 shirt. Thanks but no thanks read more

We tried this place shortly after moving to Finn Hill. We were in need of a drycleaners close to us rather than driving to the Blvd. We had a coupon from the Valpak that offered 50% for first time visitors. We went in and dropped off our drycleaning and came back a few days later, handed them the coupon and they told us that we couldn't use the coupon because we didn't give it to them upon arrival but they would happily take it the next time. This is ridculous! Terrible customer service, even after asking to speak to the manager whom told us it didn't matter. Of course the coupon didn't say anything about this little policy they have. Great way for them to scam people. We will never go back to this place again. On top of horrible service, there prices were outrageous! read more

UPDATE: the shirts were stretched because they were machine pressed instead of hand pressed, despite my explicit instruction to do the latter. Fix was to re wash and press them, which was done promptly and free of charge, with great customer service. Taking the rating up to three stars. Lesson learned: be painfully clear about what you want done. ---- DO NOT BRING YOUR DRY CLEANING HERE. I brought a few of my shirts here as a test run and had an acceptable experience. A little pricey, but they did the job well. I then followed up with a larger job. Mistake. They COMPLETELY RUINED sixteen of my dress shirts. I am a shorter, slim guy and wear very fitted shirts. When I got them back, they droop like I'm a child wearing my father's shirts. I don't know what my recourse is, but I'm staring down the barrel of $1600 of damaged goods. read more

My wife and I had some laundry done here. She wrote about her experience with her coat in a separate review. I am reviewing based on my experience with my own Laundry brought here. I had a coat and a dress shit laundered. My dress shirt did not look any different from when I brought it in (still wrinkles in it), it was not buttoned which had caused wrinkles to form, and there was some cleaning residue around the pocket. My coat had fuzzes on the back, still some wrinkles and whatever cleaning product they used made both my coat and shirt feel stiff to the touch. The only thing they offered my wife was a 50% discount off her next service, which I do not understand as they seem to be wreaking our clothes. There reasoning was "we service thousands of garments and do not have other complaints". Reading the reviews I am not sure this is the case, but at this point its not worth fighting. We have never experienced this low level of service at any of the other laundromats in this area. We only went here because of the hours of our favorite laundromats. We will never go back and advise others to do the same. read more

I went here for an alteration. I will admit - my request was unusual, I doubt they see very many powerlifting suits. However, I did leave explicit instructions of what I needed done, and they weren't followed. Sure - what they did looked nice. The seamstress probably thought "hmm, his instructions are silly, that will look terrible!" Thing is, I don't wear a powerlifting suit for looks - and by not following the instructions, my brand new $175 suit was both illegal for competition & coming apart after one use. On the plus side, they were friendly, fast, communication was good. If I actually need cleaning done, I'll consider coming here again. Not for an alteration though. read more

Do not go here! They snagged the collar of my Michael Kors trench coat that I had only worn twice and then tried to say it must have been damaged when I brought it in. They didn't even refund me the $20 dollars I paid them to dryclean (RUIN) it! When they first handed it back to me, it was covered in spots and had a huge snag on the collar. The lady asked me if I wanted it re-cleaned and I said no, just show it to the manager. They then proceeded to re-clean it without my permission before showing it to the manager and when she returned my call she basically said I must have done something to it before bringing it in. The only form of reconciliation they offered me was a 50% discount on my next visit. Why would I want that when they have only shown that I cannot trust them with my garments? Do I want them to ruin more of my clothing?! I will never go here again. read more

Consistently good service, both for cleaning and alterations / repairs. We've taken many items there, from suits to old wool afghans, and always have been happy with the service and quality. Seems like most dry cleaning places these days don't do anything but collect your clothes; all the work is done offsite. I really really did not want to like this place. I did not want to like my $80 dry cleaning bill I got once for one weeks worth of clothes one time I went here. I wanted to think it was overpriced and unreasonable. However, everyone working here is all knowing and understanding. There is no language barrier I never feel fearful turning over the ridiculously high priced pair of pants that I spend $13 bucks on cleaning, and that maybe we are on the same page on whether I do or don't want a crease down the front. They are always nice and they have a drive thru for drop off and pickup which is handy. They are also quick. The biggest reason I go here and not to the ones in the village even though the village dry cleaners are cheaper is the fact that we are on the same page. I bring almost all my work clothes some are silk, some need standard dry cleaning, and some just need a gentle launder and press. These are all sliding scales of price. Just because a shirt is silky to the touch does not mean it's silk and there are different kinds of silk that require different care etc etc and if I pay silk prices for every shirt with something silky on it then they literally are taking me to the cleaners (hahaha get it). It seems with this and the dryclean vs. launder and press (the launder and press being much much cheaper) the ones across the street always charge me the highest price even though it isn't what it is. Trying to ask why they charged me for a fancy dress (more expensive) for a simple cotton shift, is like arguing to a wall. When you dry clean as much as I do and are spending a couple hundred a month on it this is very important and saves money and makes sure your clothes are properly cared for. Also Bakker's understands that different styles of pants require pressing in different ways. Some I want starched and crisp with a crease others I don't want anything of the sort. Trying to explain this to someone with a language barrier is impossible. Not to mention the dirty looks you will get. Plus I love the girls behind the counter. They always ohhh and ahhh over my clothes at drop off and pick up. Yes, I love the fact that my drycleaners appreciate my closet. I also can go to sleep at night easy knowing I am helping fund some young Bakker childs college education or car payment with the money I give them each month. ohhhh and don't leave without one of the customer appreciation cards you get huge discounts! But they only give you one if they like you - so be nice! read more

They get the most stars for friendly and courteous service. However, they "lose" some for pricing, which I think is a bit high. The pricing on their site is a bit outdated and slightly lower than what they actually charge. Also, they may mail you 50% off coupons, but it is a discount off the "higher" price if you don't give them an email for your account, so really it is a much lower discount than it seems. I think if you take advantage of the pick up and drop off/delivery, perhaps the pricing is more worth it - but even though I'm just 2.5ish miles away, I'm not included in the region for that. :( read more

I typically don't trust dry cleaners because more then half the time they mess up something. And this was the case with Bakker's. I tried the drive through and while I sat for 5 min nobody came!? I finally went in and he said it must be broken. I then asked to have a dress dry cleaned. How much would it cost-he didn't know?? Odd response from someone who works at a dry cleaners. Thirdly I left my dress and the next day I get a call asking me about a stain and could I come in and sign something that says "they will not be held responsible if they discolor the dress while trying to get the stain out". Seriously??? I Went in to talk about it and upon seeing "the stain" I know it was not there when I dropped the dress off!!!?? I took it with me after she said I had to pay $16 to have it dry cleaned although it looked like they had done nothing to it-except make it smell horrible! It was that a cross between moth balls and formaldehyde! Not a good experience; I so wanted to like them for it was close to my house. read more

Yeah... They do a decent job on the cleaning... But it's not worth the price. They offer 40% off all the time, but that's because they charge 2-3 times standard price. My wife dropped off 5 shirts at 40% off and they still charged over $100!! She complained about the price and they said "it's the market price for the area". If you do their pickup/delivery service it may be worth it... But if you're looking for good service and reasonable price then look elsewhere. read more
