Julia at the front desk is so patient, kind, and friendly. She loves animals, and you can tell! When I called her on Saturday, 05/16/26, I had already called some grooomer in the santa mon ica area, and they were all booked for the day and didn't offer walk-ins. Luckily, Julia found a lot of time alot for my pup for 1:30. She was able to open a profile for me while I was on the phone with her, and the check-in was smooth and easy. My pup Toto was ready in about 1.5 hours and looked and smelled wonderful. He had a wash, nail clipping, teeth cleaning, and ear cleaning. Parking: Free parking in this little strip mall, and meter parking nearby. Pro Tip: There is a nail salon just 2 doors down, where you can get your nails done while waiting for your pup!

This place gave him a great grooming in just a few hours, and all of the staff were very friendly. The only thing you'd need to plan around is being readily available to pick up your dog upon completion of service. They have a 15 minute grace period, then charge a fee for 15 minute increments beyond that. Luckily I live close enough to their location that I was able to pick up my dog between meetings. Aside from that this was a very pleasant experience and I'll likely return.

On my last visit, the groomer did not follow the requested style and instead shaved my dog completely. Even worse, my 4 lb dog was accidentally cut on his belly during the process. I contacted the owner the same day. She apologized and offered a 50% refund (only $40), which I accepted. However, when I arrived to her business following week she completely denied the refund, claiming I received what I asked for. What was even more alarming was her reaction during our conversation. She began yelling aggressively and completely lost her temper. At one point, she appeared ready to become physically confrontational and had to be held back by two employees. I felt unsafe and had to leave immediately. This is not about the money--it's about accountability and professionalism. Unfortunately, the owner did not honor her word and handled the situation in a very concerning way. Be aware. She could handle this situation much differently!!

Now, she really perks up when her favorite people are around, especially Daniel who she runs right to because she knows she's going to get lots of love and treats. We've also expanded her services to full baths, nail clippings, and blueberry (or plum!) facials. On our last visit, we chatted with the cashier and found out he was Daniel's dad. We had no idea this was a family business! Our dog is such a happy girl when we pick her up, and I think it's a true testament to this business's love for what they do, their patience with each dog, and how gentle they are. Two groomers told me to go to the vet for it. That sounded like several hundred dollars to do what a groomer would do, and probably them also suggesting a four figure surgery to remove the dewclaws. Walking by The Pet Affaire, I decided to drop in and met Rodney, who told me to come by the next morning with the dog. In about 10 minutes, a unfazed Rodney and his team did all his nails and cut back the problem dewclaw significantly, despite the Cujo-like antics of the (muzzled) dog. The price was super reasonable and the dog doesn't associate me with the unpleasant experience. Win-win. I love watching pros who know what they're doing, and this was a perfect example of that.
