If you are anything like me then you to value service, attention to detail and clothing that fits and feels great every time you put it on. I have worked with other custom apparel companies and they pale in comparison to what I experienced when partnering with Sierra and the team at Balani Custom. Sierra knows more about me personally than anyone else when it comes to my taste in clothing and what makes me feel good about the way i look. The custom fitting experience was so much fun, Sierra made me feel like a kid in a candy store and was enthusiastic answering my 1,001 questions. When the day came to pick up my custom shirt i had the expectation that it would fit like the other custom shirts that I own but I was pleasantly disappointed. In my 30 years I have never worn a shirt that not only fit me perfectly but it transformed the way i view myself. As a result I have started a special saving portfolio to get save up for my next Balani Custom piece because you cant put a price on feeling your best.

Balani was the epitome of a 5 star experience in both product and service. Kayla was my designer and her knowledge and guidance through the whole process was almost as stellar as her taste in suits. I don't wear a suit on a daily basis and had an idea of what I wanted and she helped fabricate my ideas into a real piece of clothing. At any point when I had questions or wasn't sure of what to do next or which direction to take the suit, instead of pushing her opinion, she showed me options and explained the differences in each one. She was knowledgable about the fabric and the process and also the story of the Balani brand. From the initial consultation, to the measure, to the final fit, she didn't miss. Cheers Kayla! As for the suit... I've owned suits all my life and have bought from almost every off the rack or basic suit shop. The difference between any of these other stores and Balani is night and day. The minute I put the suit on I was blown away by how comfortable it was. I don't find suits uncomfortable but I could always tell that I was in a suit. This pieces feels like I'm wearing leisure wear and was soft and flexible. I wore my suit for my wedding in November on the peak of a mountain and was warm. We went to dinner afterwards and the suit was breathable and comfortable all day long. The fabric was immaculate and absolutely beautiful. I could write for days but you get the idea. If you're questioning whether or not you should go to Balani, look no further.

We had the best experience working with Balani on my husbands wedding suit. As a bride who didn't know a lot about suits, Kayla walked us through the whole process to create the best look for our special day! The personalized lining was hands down a crowd favorite at a Tennessee wedding! Thanks Kayla!

I recently had suit commissioned from Balani for my wedding and I must say that the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Shortly after requesting an appointment via their website, Kamryn reached out to me set up an appointment and worked hard to accommodate my busy work schedule. The day of my appointment, I was once again assisted by Kamryn who was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. She patiently walked my wife and I throughout the process, helped us make decisions, and obtained my measurements. I appreciated her close attention to detail. She took the time to understand my specific preferences and made sure to incorporate all of my requests into the final design. The suit was ready for pick up well within the timeframe that Kamryn promised me and I could not have been happier with how it turned out. I received multiple complements about the outfit on the day of the wedding! I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a custom suit of the utmost quality and style.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience and honestly wish I had never trusted this…read moreseamstress with my wedding dress. I was referred to her by Altar Bridal, where I purchased my wedding dress, so I felt confident that I was being referred to someone experienced and trustworthy with bridal gowns. Unfortunately, that confidence was completely misplaced. My dress originally fit almost perfectly. It was maybe a half size too big and only needed minor alteration. It is a satin dress, so I was especially careful about who I trusted to work on it. After the alterations, my dress is now visibly damaged. There are sewing marks all over the satin where stitching was done and then removed, leaving obvious needle and thread marks throughout the fabric. The dress is now crooked, and the rouching has been completely distorted and does not lay correctly anymore. These are not small imperfections that can be overlooked on my wedding day. The dress looks cheap and destroyed not delicate and elegant like when I got it. My wedding is only a month away. I brought her a dress that already fit almost perfectly, and I am now left with a damaged wedding dress and no idea how I am going to get it repaired in time for my wedding. I understand that alterations can be complicated and that mistakes can happen. However, when someone is trusted with a wedding dress, especially a delicate satin gown, I expect a much higher level of care and expertise. I also trusted this recommendation because it came directly from the bridal shop where I purchased my dress. I gave her multiple opportunities to fix the dress, but at what should have been my last appointment I didn't trust her to touch my dress anymore. If you are considering using this seamstress for your wedding dress, I strongly recommend doing your research and considering other options. I would never want another bride to be in the position I am in now. My wedding is 32 days away and I absolutely hate my dress now.

The Good: They have a lot of options for all kinds of wonderful dresses and masks - not our thing to wear but beautiful craftsmanship to look at and appreciate... The Bad: This place also does not have free pizza while we shop around. I am.determined to find a place. Kidding aside, the only downside I would think is that they know they have a monopoly in the area and the prices show it. The Ugly Truth: The selection of corsets is nice and the staff was very helpful in finding just the right one for my wife. She tried several of them on and found one that fit her needs. I would love to say we'll be back but we're not in Denver that often to stop in. A real positive is that the staff is eager to help and makes you feel very welcome. The downside is the pricing, but Denver is a more expensive city then most in this part of the country anyway so I understand.

They should have just put a sign on their store front saying "No Blacks!" because that is what I felt as soon as I walked in. I had to speak first. I was assisted, very shortly by a woman who immediately walked away when I asked a question about the hats. Then both ignored me and turned their backs on me as I was talking to them before I was finally fed up and left. I might over look this if it was busy but I was the only person in the small shop. I guess I should call ahead before go to a place like this to ask first if they serve my kind, Black Men. I guess we are a threat, even in a costume shop.

I saw the review below from the father of the bride--clearly someone who thinks hemming a wedding gown is the same as trimming the bottom off a pair of sweatpants. Spoiler alert: it's not. A wedding dress isn't one layer of fabric; it's usually five, six, sometimes more--with lace, tulle, lining, boning, and maybe even a bit of magic. Of course it takes time and skill, and yes, that costs money. You're not just paying for stitches; you're paying for the experience, the steady hands, and the peace of mind that it will be done right. Mia charges market prices, but the value is in the outcome. I've brought her everything--Vegas dresses, professional Burberry/Monique Lhuiller dresses, Prada formal wear--and she nails it every time. She's meticulous, never rushed, and always honest if something won't work. I trust her judgment more than some designers. Bottom line: if you want fast and cheap, go to a dry cleaner and roll the dice. If you want it done right, go to Mia.
