me and my wife have been coming here for our baby's ultrasounds, they are supposed to be happy…read morememories right!, there's a few techs that don't do there job right, really rude not only to us but out 1 almost 2 year old son, we got sent over to the Emergency Room because the ultrasound techs here dont have the training they need to have, and saying our baby was 2 pounds smaller then what the emergency rooms ultrasound came back as, saying our baby had some stuff going on that really gave us a scare just for the ER to tell us that this place was wrong and they have no clue why we where even there. spent 2 nights at the ER without out 2 year old son so they can just get us in to tell us that theres no reason for us to be there after a big scare thanks guys! Won't ever be coming back after this child. Tisha is one of them.care sucks here.

went to riverbend emergency department in early march, they said i had a cyst on an ovary and…read morereferred me here. i was scheduled originally in june but then was called back and rescheduled for late march with dr hermann. i was then told 4 different times for my appointment via text reminders, and when i called to ask when it actually was i was told it was a full hour after they had told me they scheduled it originally. after showing up and being taken back, i gave a very thorough explanation of the symptoms i had been experiencing. dr hermann was dismissive of what i thought had been going on, and didn't listen to anything i had concerns about. i had been bleeding vaginally for two months and he blamed it on the birth control i've been on with no issues for 6 years. he also then decided adding a second form of birth control was the only solution to the bleeding, even after i let him know i have a history of mental illness and responding poorly to hormonal birth control. after telling him any penetration or external stimulation was extremely painful he proceeded to tell me he was going to do a routine pap smear. he did not ask if i wanted to, he told me he would be doing that. he asked me if i had been std tested recently, and when i said it had been around 8 months he said "we'll do that today as well." i then said i had only had one partner since and i did not think it was necessary and he dismissed my concerns. during the actual pap smear, he told me he "couldn't find my cervix" and that he was going to "feel around a little more" he then proceeded to place his fingers inside of me without asking if that was okay or even letting me know beforehand. after this, he told me he thought my symptoms of severe abdominal/pelvic pain and constant bleeding were from something else, as cysts "don't normally cause that." he then said he would follow up in two months with another ultrasound to prove the cyst wasn't getting any bigger, gave me no solution to the severe pain, and left. overall, i had an awful experience here. i have been trying to transfer care to a different doctor here, saying i will take literally anyone else, and that has somehow been its own issue. i would really not recommend seeing dr hermann, especially if you have any history of sexual assault, as he does not seem to understand the concept of patient consent.

I imagine this place is short staffed. Or something. They have an extremely poor phone…read morecommunication protocol. They make you wait way too long for returned calls regarding important test results. Here is my experience: They called me to report something urgent, but I missed the call. I called them back within 2 minutes, but I was told I would have to wait for a nurse to call me back again to get my news. 6 HOURS later, I called them again & told them I would be coming down there to find out my results IN PERSON if they didn't have a nurse call me. 20 minutes later I finally got a call. Also, to reach them, you have to leave a message with their call center. You can't actually directly call them. I've switched my health care to a better managed office which actually answers their own phones. I hope Women's Care can find a way to improve their services. It was very difficult and stressful for me to wait for their callbacks regarding important health matters. Maybe they could create a flagging system to prioritize more urgent calls that need to be made?

I haven't had to wait very long. Although, they do make you fill out a long questionnaire every time you visit --even for a quick return visit or what have you -- all about whether you have a family history of this or that. As unpleasant as an annual gynecological exam can be, Dr. Jewett and her staff always make it as comfortable an experience as possible. There always seem to be a lot of pregnant women in the lobby, so I guess it's a popular clinic for obstetrics as well.

The nurses are always very friendly and the front desk staff are quick and nice. I've never had issues reaching them over the phone. I've had an ultrasound, a uterine biopsy, and most recently a bisalp and ablation under Dr. Tufariello. The biopsy was done without painkillers and was horrible but that's the state of women's healthcare in this country and my doctor had no control over it - it was the insurance company's fault. My surgery last week went great and Dr. Tufariello was very kind and thorough when answering my long list of questions. She kept me at ease and helped me feel better when I was nervous. She did not try to push me or talk me out of the procedure even though it was elective. She simply asked once to make sure I knew I couldn't have kids after and when I said I knew and was sure I didn't want any kids she moved on and helped me. In this day and age I have to appreciate that. I'm not sure why Women's Care has so many bad reviews because I have only ever had positive experiences here. The staff all care deeply about their jobs and everyone is very gentle and understanding. Even the lab techs are gentle and friendly. I will continue to be a patient here and recommend them to my friends whenever I can.

She did not do any pre-testing, ultrasound, or imaging to check out my suspected fibroids. After insertion the IUD ended up scraping against uterus and causing extreme pain. I had to demand it be taken out immediately and asked for an ultrasound. She had so much trouble understanding the imaging (the IUD was creating a shadow that seemed suspicious) and actually asked me if I had forgotten about a previous IUD inside my body. What?! No, I have never had an IUD and I would not forget about something like that. Horrible care, dismissive of pain, and unfortunately there are not many options in Eugene for ob-gyn care. I now go to Grassroots Gynocology and the fibroid clinic at OHSU. Don't go here if you can help it!

It was overwhelming trying to find a place that didn't treat me like cattle meant for breeding. This office was recommended by a friend and while I usually cry after one of my gyno appointments, this time it was due entirely to relief. Right in the door you're going to feel welcome and respected, and most importantly Heard. You will have an appointment with ample time to address your issues and learn anything you feel you need to learn. You'll probably be comfortable enough to laugh and crack jokes, but you will be taken very seriously. I will tell any woman I know about them because I know so many who have been assembly-lined in their care while suffering needlessly with issues that can be treated. These women actually care about their patients, and it's been a long time since I've experienced medical professionalism on that level. The online portal is utilized very well and response time is above and beyond fast when questions or concerns come up. The location of the office is even soothing and built to focus on care, not flare. Do not doubt, if you are a woman in need of that particular brand of care, this is the place working hard to make sure we get it, no matter our social class.
