While working on me the Dr. does not talk other than to have me move an arm or lift a leg or move to my side so they can work on me. After the appointment they let me know what they are seeing and how my treatment is going. First appointment was the longest with the intake. The Dr. listened asked questions and took notes. I didn't feel rushed. Followup appointments (I have had 2) have been in the 30 minute range at most. This is manipulation of your muscle/bones but I have found it to be relatively painless - some areas are sore when I go in, so it is a little sore as the Dr. works on me. If anything was painful I would speak up and they would stop. I always feel so much better after the appointment. I tend to be sore the next day - as if I did a heavy workout but my movement is so much better! Office is clean and open. The Dr. does have an emotional support dog - Le Roy is very gentle and will greet you as you walk in but then looses interest. For me this treatment has been incredibly helpful.

She seemed to want to responsibly handle my medication, and I didn't feel very objectified, and she was honest about not knowing how to help me without a diagnosis. She did not become frustrated. Our successful social interaction might have been due to my heightened social awareness at the time of the appointment, in addition to her creativity/ experience with psychiatric disorders. I advise you don't go into any first appointment with a psychiatrist in a confused or emotional state, or a weakened state at all, period, if at all possible.
