This really is a great dog park! It is well maintained with a good number of poop bag dispensers scattered around the facility as well as water fountains for the dogs. There are some obstacles for the dogs in the center of the park and even at busy times there is usually enough room to use a ball thrower for your dog to chase balls. There are restrooms for the humans just outside the park. Highly recommend as a place to take your dog for exercise and socialization. read more

Dog Incident Warning - Baldy View Dog Park. Our dog was seriously injured during an incident on 02/25/26 at approximately 6-7pm at Baldy View Dog Park, Upland area, CA and required surgery for multiple bite wounds. One of the dogs involved appeared to be a white French bulldog named Lucy. I'm sharing this to raise awareness for other dog owners. Situations at dog parks can escalate very quickly, even when smaller dogs are involved, and even when owners are present. Update 3/3/26 I believe it's important to share what happened so others can stay aware and hopefully prevent similar incidents. There were two large brown dogs that appeared to be from the same family , along with another dog nearby. The dogs began surrounding our dog, and the situation quickly became tense. Shortly after, the small white French bulldog became involved and grabbed onto our dog as the group pushed her toward the fence. Unfortunately, it all happened very quickly and people were unable to separate them in time. Our dog, Milly, normally does well around other dogs, but in this situation she was outnumbered and seriously injured. A short time later, the same group of dogs reportedly became aggressive toward another dog, and the owners then left the park. Well well it's me again!! 8 years I've been coming here and not only have I made some great friendships but Bailey has had the time of his life here and this is literally his 2nd home . Since the renovation we have loved the new walkway for the wheelchairs, crutches, canes or what have you. It's a nice addition. The park looks beautiful and clean. I just wish that we could get some bumpers put around the light pole nearest to the covered tables because the dogs love to run and race the big dogs and more than once a dog including mine has ran smack dam into that pole. It's stunned them and is quite dangerous . Other than that we love this park no matter how many parks we have tried we've always ended up back here at Baldy View it's our dogs home and our home as well. Right by the vet office, so my dog and I were able to kill some time while we waited for our appointment. It's tucked away from the main streets and the trees seem to act as a buffer from the car noises. Large and small dog areas are nice, but I wish (for all dog parks) that people would stop bringing small dog breeds into large dog areas. I can't help but get nervous because many medium and large dog breeds have prey drives, and a 10 pound dog will be small enough to cause a problem. It's why the different sides exist, keep the smaller ones safe and the larger ones relaxed. Aside from that, the restrooms need to have soap. There's no soap dispenser in there, and the toilet seats are wide with very little rim and feels like you're about to fall in the bowl. Either larger seats need to be installed or give people access to toilet seat covers for sanitary conditions to be safe. read more

Has ourselves a nice outdoor picnic here since the German delicatessen we had gotten food from nearby was closed for indoor dining. Separate Large and small dog parks, most owners brought their dogs leashed and dogs seemed to be well behaved for the time we were there - although we had no dogs with us. Clean public separate male and female restrooms but no soap dispensers, blower for hand drying. Great day for being outdoors : lots of picnic tables also inside the dog run area, but I wouldn't bring food there. Many large shady trees to help keep you cool. Also children's playground equipment onsite. Spacious and some shady trees for parking. Am glad a car pulling out stopped in time for a dog that broke free from its owner. read more

After visiting this dog park, I probably won't return to my former dog park. (Ontario, San Antonio Ave). This park is huge with plenty of room for my dog to run around and play. However, he did get sick recently. I believe it was due to stagnant water in the buckets of water for the dogs to drink from. Be cautious of stagnant water. My recommendation is to bring your own water or empty and refill the buckets your dog drinks from. My dogs sickness wasn't too bad. He was just lethargic, didn't eat normally, and had congestion within his nose. The sickness subsided after a few days. But no one wants to have to worry over their dog. Outside of this one isolated issue, there are plenty of friendly dogs and it's a great park for your dog to enjoy. read more

My husband and I came here with our 3 Shih Tzus over the weekend. The park itself is pretty easy to find. From the 210 Freeway, you exit Mountain, and head South and turn left onto 11th St. It's on 11th Street between Mountain Avenue and San Antonio Avenue. This dog park has been around since 1999 and it has a formal committee apparently who ensure the park is maintained. My dogs are between 12-16 lbs so we went to the small dog play area which was really big. It's the shape of a rectangle and was fairly long. They have water available near the entrance in case your dog(s) get thirsty, plenty of poop bags, trash cans, and a couple picnic tables for the humans. Note that there is a fair amount of dirt first and then it becomes more grassy. So if your dog is going back in your car (mine has cloth interior), you should bring some wipes to clean off their paws. We got there around 10AM and there were about 10 other small dogs in there already including a Pekinese, another Shih Tzu, Chihuahuas, a few mutts, and a Shi-Poo (Shih Tzu/Poodle) puppy! Overall, the dogs and their humans were well behaved and we would come here again. There were no "big" dogs in the small dog area, however, we saw a tiny dog in the Big Dog area and it was being chased by 3 large dogs. Hopefully, the owner of the small dog was okay with that..... We've been to this park a few times before..Brought my two dogs in today everything was going great. normal time until some guy brought in a large pitbull he let him off leash right away dog seemed very excited he ran up to us and bit my dog by the neck and held him down I didn't know what to do luckily we were able to separate them in time our dog left with minor cuts.. his owner seemed genuinely concerned . A very pleasant experience at the Baldy View Dog Park. The dog park is located within the Baldy View Park, in the left back corner, behind the park restrooms. There were a handful of transients around the actual park (not the dog park area). For the most part, they were respectful and did not beg and weren't obnoxious (no "bum fights"). There is a large and a small dog side, both with seperate entrances and their own water spigot, at least three tables to sit at, and poop/bag stations (also pooper scoopers). The small dog side is where we spent our afternoon and I was quite pleased to see that it wasn't overran with "land mines". There were however, a handful of poop piles around the corners of the end of the run area. For the most part, though, it seemed that most pet parents who visited were respectful and picked up after their pup. The small dog area has a mix of grass and pure dirt (due to drought most likely). The numerous people and pups that we encountered were friendly and mannered, with the exception of one fearful t-cup Chihuahua. Thankfully, though, the Chihuahua's owners stayed near and kept a mindful eye on the little one. Our pup, Olive enjoyed running about, meeting and playing with new fur-riends and we will certainly be returning. read more

Suki and I came out to check out this dog park near my old high school. The park seems relatively clean and there's plenty of free parking. Lots of dogs to play with. There are water buckets for the dogs as opposed to water bowls. There's grass and there's dirt, along with a smattering of trees. There are a variety of dogs and owners that frequent the park. I like that there are signs up that say barking is not tolerated here. Kind of ironic since dogs do bark. The only thing is that the fences here are kind of low. Suki can clear the fence easily if she put her mind to it. Since Suki's fur is predominantly white, she gets dirty pretty easily. That I'm not so much a fan of, however, she only goes to the dog park when she is in dire need of a bath. This one is close to the parents' house so at least I can take her somewhere to blow off some steam when there's nothing to do at home. read more

Plenty of big shady trees, plenty of grass, some picnic tables for sitting while those cute little canines frisk and sniff and pee and poop. Poopy bags and a trash can are available, so keep an eye on your pooch and use 'em please. My biggest disappointment was with the mud that interfered with the entry to the little dog section. The water spout nearby must leak, and has caused a river of mud to wash down the sidewalk. Lilly-pup thinks it's swell. I cringe. And now we have muddy paws to deal with before we get back in the car. And I was disappointed that they did not have a drinking fountain on the little dog side, just that hose. People have their large dogs in areas meant for small dogs, vice versa, and mixed. If my 80lb dog tripped over one of these 5lb dogs, she'd break it. The park has a nice sized yard for larger breeds to run full speed. There is even a small kids pool for them to jump into. Granted, it seems like most of the dogs here are behaved and it shouldn't be a problem for large and small breeds to mix, but when the signs are clearly marked for one or another, it' s madness. read more

If this park weren't so far from where I live I'd probably go more often. I ended up here after my regular dog park closed for a few days. The fences are relatively low all around, but hedges block the outer fence so dogs can't really see out. The fence dividing the small and large dog side is also low, and easily jumpable by a large dog. The park is a decent size with tons of trees for shade, buckets for water, and grass. The ground was clean, however there was one brown dog that kept pooping and her owner (in scrubs) watched her and didn't bother to clean it up. I mentioned that the dog had gone to the restroom and she turned and walked the other way. There was also an instance of a couple of German Shepherds getting rough with my dog. Rough enough that she'd yelp and we'd have to step between them until the owner yelled out the dog's name. read more

My little Peanut LOVES this place, especially since I've moved to an apartment and she's lost her backyard space. She literally cries and whines to get out of the car as soon as we pull up to the parking lot. Everyone is always friendly, there are picnic tables to sit on and a hose for water. Sometimes the dogs like to mark their territory on the water buckets so it may be a good idea to bring your own container for water. It was a good size area for the big dogs. Partially grass and partially dirt. There were several cement picnic tables with benches spread around, lots of trees. There was a bulletin board type thing with flyers and info regarding the park rules. There were little hooks to hang your leashes if you choose to. There were bathrooms right outside the fence and they were very clean and not graffittied upon. Animals seemed to like it and their people picked up after them. 3.5 stars. I have a pitbull and everyone has been very welcoming towards her. 5 stars for the morning crowd. The morning crowd is great. They are welcoming, friendly, and very responsible for their dogs. The dogs are playful and well behaved. 2 stars for the afternoon crowd. Afternoon crowd is a gamble and definitely hit or miss. When it's good, it's good, and when it's bad oh my goodness it's really bad... PAY ATTENTION IF YOU HAVE A LITTLE DOG -The majority of the dog fights I've seen have been in the little dog section. And they are not snippy little yappy fights. I almost always see/hear a fight every time I go in the afternoon. If you see a little white poodle with a highlighter neon green vest on whose owner is a male GET OUT OF THE SECTION. (I know there are like ten other dogs with this description but you'll know this dog when you see it) I saw this dog attack 4 other dogs very badly. The worst was when it attacked this poodle and I swear I saw blood. The owner didn't take this little monster out and didn't even punish it. He even laughed and made excuses for it's behavior. Sorry to put you on blast buddy If my pitbull even halfway acted that aggressive someone would've called the cops on us. Final straw was when it was running and barking aggressively with a boxer doing the same along the fence. It started bringing more and more dogs to the fence and both dingbat owners didn't think to stop their dogs...That's when my pup and I peaced out. BIG DOG SECTION -There is a huge clique-y group that likes to hang out towards the back. You will know them when you see them. That's what someone told me when they warned me and yup when I saw them I definitely knew it was them. They seem like nice people but they don't really pay attention to their dogs (dogs jumping on tables, snapping at other dogs that come close) I've seen the occasional dog wander over and either the dogs haven't paid any attention or have snapped and chased the poor dog away. It's a huge group. Almost looks like a birthday party. -Landmines the farther back you go. Be careful where you step! -In the afternoons I notice people are more focused on socializing and tend to pay less attention to what their dog is doing. I found this tends to happen at most dog parks in the afternoons. Dogs pooping and no one picking it up. Barking and running along the fence with the little dogs. Having to pull someone's happy humping dog off of my dog multiple times. And unfortunately I almost always see a dog showing signs of aggressions. It's just such a hassle having to petsit and watch out for other people's dogs that intensely. ALTERNATIVE Rancho Cucamonga's park is great for the afternoons. If I didn't live so close to this one, I would head their more often. read more
