Great sports bar option in what used to be the old bowling alley in downtown Lakeville. What makes it a great sports bar? A huge outdoor patio for when the weather is nice and a big inside with plenty of seating so you don't have to fight over a table when it's busy, which game day always is. They have a good selection of sandwiches and other bar bites and plenty of drink optikns. We enjoyed the ones that we tried. To highlight, the Dill Pickle Dip was out of this world good. Basically a pickle roll in dip form and oh so good. Not sold on just that dip? You can get a platter with salsa and other options too. Great item to munch on while drinking beer and watching sports. Definitely on my list when the guys and I are looking for a place to crash and watch the Vikings or Goofers. read more

I was at the pan o prong fair this past day and I wanted something that I found disgusting. I was just trying to get some food from this restaurant that And I saw that a couple of the working were sitting on the back of the food truck, and mocking and laughing at some teenagers. These girls were just taking photos around the food truck and they were being repeatedly pointed at, and laughed at for no apparent reason. I'm sad to see that a food truck as Would hire such horrible people to represent their company. There was a couple girls on the back of the truck and one boy with blonde hair, who was wearing the uniform. I truly hope that these employees are reprimanded for their disgusting behavior, and they learn that it is not okay to act in this way. The food truck was also extremely dingy Just to add that, there was quite literally nothing that this place had going for it, and yet they decided to make the atmosphere even worse. read more

Went there for mothers day , the rack of ribs were not warm , got my mothers order wrong so she sat there while we ate and her order finally came . Grandson ordered sweet tea and got unsweetened tea . The service was very slow and we were very disappointed for the price we paid . We ordered the walleye fingers for an appetizer and we got a small little cup half full of tarter sauce . Never again . read more

TERRIBLE, and owner clearly doesn't care about his customers. My wife, my daughter and I took a bike ride to have dinner at your restaurant on Thursday 6/18 at around 7:20 to celebrate a job promotion. We love BBQ joints, it's one of our favorite types of food so we all were really excited to eat here. We sat outside and ordered a kids pulled pork sandwich meal and "The Right Combo". That meal should honestly be renamed "The Wrong Combo". Those were by far the worst ribs any of us have ever had. They were so dried out, the meat seemed like it has been superglued to the bones. I literally had to use a sharp knife just to pry the meat off the bone, they were so dry and chewy and the flavor wasn't even good that we ended up taking a few bites off of 1 of the 6 or 7 ribs provided and not even touching the rest. The pulled pork we got on the side and in our daughter's sandwich was also dry with little flavor, we had to absolutely douse it in BBQ sauce to even chew and swallow it. And then on top of the terrible food, the service was just as awful. My wife had finished her drink right after the food came and was never offered a refill. In fact we didn't see our server when the food was in front of us at all, if he did maybe he would have acknowledged that we didn't even touch the ribs and barely touched the rest of the food. We literally had to flag him down just to ask for our tab and a to-go box. We saw him again five minutes later (no tab and no to-go box) Instead of doing his job he asked someone else to get the box for us and went to take about a 15 drink order of peers his age, where he proceeded to swear in front of our 7 year old daughter. We sat there for quite a while longer before finally just getting up and going to the hostess stand to ask to pay for our order. He was behind the bar making the 15 drinks and finally came to the front acting confused as to why we were standing there and asking what I needed? I said I wanted to pay for my food. We are always generous with our tips often tipping 40% but this was literally the first time in my life that I didn't tip the server. We spent $52 for inedible food and the worst service of our lives. What a great way to celebrate. Extremely disappointed in every aspect of this experience. I was in the area running some errands and I always stop to try a local spot. I got take out. basically a lot of the menu. Chicken, ribs, sausage, brisket and lots of different sides. Over all the food was ok. I don't know if it would have been better had I eaten it there. They do give a good sized portion. The service was good a little confusing about to go orders in the middle of the day but other wise nothing good or bad to say. I'm not big into sports bars so the ambiance was not for my eyeballs. I like the environment and food, but every time we come here we ask to get the Gopher game on and they never put it on! It's a Gopher bar but it takes the staff 30 minutes to turn it on, likes we are inconveniencing the staff? Super frustrating. read more

The bar and restaurant is super casual and filled with sports on all the flat screens. Pull tabs and arcade games located in the back. Friendly servers. I have tried only one food item; the Chicago Dog. However the pickle spear, sport peppers and celery salt were MIA and vital to a Chicago Dog . read more

I ordered the bbq wings, chili, and chili dog. The wings were nice sized, much bigger than the ones from BWW. Unfortunately they forgot to include my dipping sauce, but they were tasty still. The chili and chili dog, there was a lot of potential here but they drowned the food with cheese. The chili had a thick layer of cheese on top that really took away from the chili flavor, but the diced onions were a nice add. The chili dog was really a cheese dog with a sprinkle of chili. Unfortunately I did not enjoy this at all and it ended up in the trash. read more

Cruising' through Lakeville, my wife says to me: "let's go get lunch somewhere we've never been" Me: "Let's do this!" She looks online and sees there is a new place that just opened, Baldy's Tailgate Bar. If you're from the area you know Baldy's reputation precedes the legend himself for incredible bbq! Pulled into downtown Lakeville and realized that it's at the location of that was formerly Lakeville Family Bowl, so it's a well known corner in the heart of downtown Lakeville. Plus it was a beautiful day out so we took the patio to get our seats. We were welcomed by two friendly smiling host's. My wife ordered the white chicken chili, my daughter thr Mac and cheese, and I went for the 'Merica BLT dog, because umm yes! Bacon and a hotdog on one bun! Sign me up! We quickly received our food, and the flavor, the quality, the taste is perfection. Who would've thought putting lettuce on a hot dog, with the most tender bacon (not too crunchy or tree barky, but perfectly tender) would taste so good!!! The fries are the truth!! As my wife says: "there just thin and crunchy enough that they could almost be a potato chip." My daughter devoured her Mac n cheese!! Even got a chance to see Baldy himself roll up in his Ford pickup. Rolled straight up the sidewalk, and I was like: "that brother just rolled up like he owns the place," and sure 'nuff it was Baldy . Let our host know, I'm with the Yelp Elite Squad and I'm leaving a 5 Star review cus this place is on point. They even have fire pits in the back! I LOVE FIRE PITS, who doesn't!! Hello reader of this review. I am severely dissatisfied with my experience at Baldy's Tailgate Bar. First, my party was placed at a PLASTIC LUNCH TABLE with FOLDING CHAIRS. I'm paying a premium for a piece of furniture i can pull out of my rusty crusty shed out back? Next, I had TWO HAIRS in my drink!!! That's more hairs in MY DRINK than ON BALDY'S OWN HEAD!! Next, the food was not good for the price I paid. The burger was dry. Buns soggy. I'm better off going to Culver's and getting myself a Triple Bacon Butter Burger Deluxe. At least I can say I got my money's worth with that. One perk of Baldy's is the backyard games available at the establishment. But boy oh boy, the Cornhole bags SUCKED. NONE of the bags were the same weight or size. For how much Baldy is making us pay for the food and sitting at crappy lunch tables, he can AT LEAST have some bags that are some what decent. I will never eat at another Baldy's location again. Lakeville Family Bowl will forever be the better establishment. Such a shame! read more

Pros: Larger size venue. Even though it was a busy Friday night, it didn't feel packed and crowded. Not overly loud. Decent beer selection. Cons: Ate at the bar since I was solo. Food was average. I had the brisket sandwich. Tasted like they opened a can of something and reheated it. Inattentive service from the bartender, she apparently had better things to do than wait on a solo diner. Great food and service! I will be going back again!!! my only complaint is, we went there to play some beanbags, however, there were a bunch of kids running around, throwing the bags at each other, and nobody seemed to want to do anything about it. So, that was a little annoying. read more

Went in at 5:30 with my wife and 2 year old daughter. Got a table right away which was great but no one ever came to our table. Never got any waters or anything. We've been in a few times and it's always pretty underwhelming. Yesterday we came in and wanted to have a couple drinks and sit on the patio. We waited about 10-15 min for someone to serve us, then it took a long time to finally get the drinks. Our drinks were finished and once again took a long time to get asked if we wanted another or the check. We asked for the check, again waited a very long time. This was at 4pm, it was not busy. My wine glass had lipstick all over it. I don't know, I'm usually pretty understanding but every time I go here, I am just not impressed. read more

I haven't written a review yet however I feel this place needs a review. A friend and I stood at the end of the bar waiting to be served. There were no other people waiting at that time. The two servers looked directly at me and my friend and gave a dismissive look and walked away. Just not sure what that was all about, but we left and won't be back. (Who cares?
