I can not say enough great things about Ballesteros photography, Daniel and Kari, the dream team! Their skills, artistic ability and charisma are just the tip of the ice berg. Daniel was right there with me every step of the way from the begining of the wedding planning journey through the end. Particularly when I had panic attacks, stress vents, and flat out fear and worry that everything would go wrong, he had my back. I swear he had a sixth sense and knew when I was falling apart because I would get a call from him and kari or an email from them or just a quick text. And then all was right in my world for that moment. These two are truly magical. The day of the wedding I wanted to cry the moment I saw them, I could feel the positivity, love, excitement and support radiating off of them. They did such an amazing job with our unorthodox needs and timelines. The way they kept my husband and I calm and in the moment, the way they handled the crowds and kept things moving, it was just all so seamless. Kari was always near by making sure my hair was perfect, my makeup was perfect, and quite frankly just making sure I felt calm and safe, which is a huge deal when you are someone with high anxiety. She just knew what I needed. Both of them just knew! We wanted to capture beautiful moments and enjoy as much of the party as possible and they made sure that happened. Not to mention! I wanted a home video style video with original audio of real moments, "bloopers", giggles, even anxious times to be captured. This was in addition to the produced video with special moments throught the timeline, clips to guests giving us love messages and advice, the music Daniel produced him self tied the whole thing together. I mean when I say magical I mean magical. I have no idea how they were each in 10 places at once but they were. And had it not been for them from begining to end on this entire journey, it would not have been as special as it was and i would not have had the wedding of my dreams. Could not have asked for a better wedding photography experience with Dan and Kari! Wonderful couple, every step of the process was a delight. So easygoing, encouraging and positive, I felt surprisingly at ease upon the first couple of photos at our wedding with Dan and Kari. We did not do an engagement session, we just live too far away but I was instantly relieved when we started our big day with them. Professionals in every way they photographed our wedding beautifully (from beach shots, to the redwoods, to the barn where the reception and dancing was)...we couldn't be happier with the outcome. I can't even rave enought about Ballesteros Photography. We met him at a wedding expo and took our engagement pictures with him. Seriously it's basically the coolest picture I've ever taken. People keep asking me about it. I couldn't be happier. Dan is amazingly sweet, so easy to talk to and work with. I honestly cannot adequately describe the quality and beauty of the photographs that come from Dan and Kari. When I came across their booth at the Central Coast wedding expo I was instantly struck by what I saw and knew I had found our wedding photographers. Dan photographed our wedding on Nov. 3rd. I cannot say enough great things about him and the process. He really worked with us with our budget and instantly we felt at ease talking with him. He came down from SLO to Santa Barbara a day early to check out the location and even made an amazing video of our rehearsal. Our wedding party and guests kept commenting how unobtrusive he was. Dan was also a really calming force for me when it was getting a bit stressful. He took our pictures so quickly so we could get to our guests and enjoy our reception. He immediately put pictures on Facebook and we had our online gallery within 2 weeks! Most of all, his photographs are amazing! Dan And kari are amazing at what they do. We met them at a wedding expo and had a connection right off the bat. I knew i couldn't leave the expo without booking with them. They shot our engagement photos and only a day or two later a preview of six photos were all ready up on my Facebook, amazing! We received our own personal link on there website for family and friends to view. Kari did my make up and is very talented at what she does. She made me feel so beautiful and confident. Could not have asked for a better experience! Dan and Kari were not only amazingly kind people to spend our wedding day with, they are truly gifted at what they do. We have never been one who loved standing in front of the camera nor do I have cute, candid, natural looking moments. They were so encouraging at making you feel good in front of the camera which made the photoshoots fly by! They also, to my personal amazement, were able to capture beautiful, candid moments that have helped us relive all the special moments that we were feeling on our wedding day. They have a great eye for placing you in scenery around you. They were so easy to work with and helped us come up with an itinerary for the day, taking into account what the light would be like at certain times and knowing where the direction of where light would be coming from. We got married in during COVID and our plans changed very quickly. Dan and Kari were so flexible working with us to come up with a new creative vision for our wedding and giving me hope in the midst of chaos. CREATIVE! TALENTED! THOUGHTFUL! INTENTIONAL! BEAUTIFUL WORK! I was referred to Daniel for my wedding photos. I live in Colorado so I was not familiar with any of the local photographers. Daniel was the first photographer I met and I was immediately sold. I knew he could make my vision a reality. My husband and I are not photogenic nor do we like being in front of a camera. The idea of taking engagement and wedding photos made us pretty nervous. After meeting with Daniel I knew he was someone that I could feel comfortable in front of. Daniel made sure that we had the opportunity to have an engagement photo session. This session was invaluable! My husband and I were able to get a sense of Daniel's style. He and his wife Kari made the shoot so much fun! Then the unspeakable happened, my wedding venue canceled our contract eight days before the wedding. Not being from the area, I was scrambling to find a new location. As soon as I informed Daniel of what had happened he called me to ensure that he would do everything possible to make my wedding day a success! And he did! At my wedding / reception I saw Kari and him helping out other vendors to make sure everything was perfect! This speaks to their high personal integrity, their character and commitment to excellence. In addition, Daniel and Kari had done their research. They had familiarized themselves with the locations, lighting, landscape, etc. identifying prime areas to shoot the photos prior to the actual events. It's made the wedding day very smooth.
