So we tried it out it is even out of the way for us! There is another dance/gym place practically accross the street by me I could throw a rock at it. It has a warm homey feel to it, there is a changing room for the girl's and the dance room is enclosed. The parents can watch the dancers on the closed circuit tv in the front room. This is a + I think as there are no distractions for the kids. Other studios have glass on one wall so parents can watch, my kid would just look at me and not focus on the dancing. It is family owned and I feel very close w them, they take the time to know who you and your kids are as well. They like to see the progression of their teachings its heart warming! I have to say Mrs. Marianne is the best teacher she is very experianced and does so well with the wee ones, her energy is so high and you can tell she loves what she does! They have a recital once a year and they put alot into it. The owner is Carolyn and her daughter's teach some of the classes. I am not a religous person by all means but they are a Christian conservative family. Her daughter's were not comfortable at other studios where their costumes would show a little too much skin and the routines got somewhat provocative. They opened Purely Dance they have doubled their attendance in one year and I see them continuing to grow! They started offering an adult tap class on friday's which me and my younger sister are now taking by the way. Come join for a free class! The summer specals are going to be great!

Just when I was thinking that all of this nastiness had been resolved, I get a wonderful call from…read moremy bank, advising that this studio, rather than refunding me the money that they stole from me & had no right to, had in fact charged me the whole amount...again. I just can't with these people. The depths of their nastiness, incompetence & straight up dishonesty is really more than anyone can even comprehend, never mind try to endure. And don't forget that all of this began, because despite the teacher not even teaching my daughter's final class because she was out sick, like she was most out most of November, too, I might add, my 8 year old just couldn't cut it. This has swiftly turned into one of the most ridiculous & unpleasant experiences of my life. Don't even ask my child how she feels.... She is a third grader in 4th grade math, but she can't figure out how to sing a song & move her body parts in a directed manner. She's only been in dance & theater since preschool. We only left her last school because they changed her schedule, but this school would just never accept that we had experience, it just didn't fit their falsely perceived perceptions. But of course, none of this had anything to do with my child or her abilities, perceived or otherwise. This was all about someone's overrated ego. So petty & idiotic. The whole thing. I'm flabbergasted. Dealing with the owner of this studio was like speaking with a child amidst a…read moretantrum. She literally ignored me while I spoke to her and said, "I am not listening to youuuuuu." I brought my child here so that she could have some fun with a friend. My child has been on stage in recitals at church, so I knew she was ready. The day that I brought her in for a trial to see if the class was age-appropriate I was pressured to decide on site if my child wanted to participate in a recital in May (which cost $100 per costume and $150 in recital "fees". I said yes only because they assured me they'd worked with kids before. They couldn't even keep her in the room. They have a range from 2.5 years to almost 6 in the same room, having them stand in one spot for an hour with different instructors each week would sit and just give orders to the kids. In any case, the owner treated me so poorly, berated and ignored me as I tried to open a line of commutation with her. The receptionist is someone who is approachable, but any level of professional or even human treatment it stops there. They offer a summer camp, which is laughable. Who would trust their children with you? Hey T and L, no matter how many times you flag or try to remove my review as you have the others, I will save it, and repost it. This is a matter of principle and you shouldn't get away with treating people this way nor should you have access to children if you don't know to to speak to people.

PPAC is where I received my dance training from 4 years old until I was 17. I was a member of the…read morePPAC company where I competed at the national level each year across the USA and Canada. I know that the training I received at PPAC is the reason that I was able to go on and have a legitimate dance career in the professional world. This studio got me ready for my dance training in college and I owe it to the fabulous faculty and guest teachers that were always there to help us.
