I was there yesterday (06-09-20) to pick up two tires I had put on rims for my lawn mower I dropped off the day before. I provided the two new 11"x4" tires and just had them put on my rims for pick up. I was told that I would only be charged for time and materials. Ballweg Implement in Waupun charged me $157 for it! They claimed it took them 2 hours to put two tires on rims. My sincere mistake was that I should have ask how much ahead of time it would have cost, because I would never have had them do the job at such a monstrous cost. I am about a year from replacing my very old riding mower. I am sure going to think twice about where I go when looking to by a new mower. Unbelievable! read more

As other reviewers have stated the costs they charge for service is outrageous and predatory. They don't provide any estimates when you bring equipment in for service and when you come to pick things up they hand you a bill for an exorbitant amount that you are told you have to pay or they will not give you your equipment back, whether they have fixed anything or not. Charging thousands of dollars for diagnosing issues is unreal. Multiple times I have taken equipment here that they have "fixed" only to find out it is not fixed. When I brought it back in to have it actually fixed, they charge you even more for the work to fix it correctly. I have never done business with a company as unethical and predatory as them. read more

I called Ballweg Implement after I took apart my compact tractor when it wouldn't start. I told them it was either the starter switch or the cilenoid and to bring those parts when they come. A week later they came (I sat without my tractor) and the mechanic didn't bring either part. They had to go back to the shop and order the starter. They came back the next day and replaced it. I was more than shocked when I received the $921 bill that included the $49.00 starter. I would have done it myself. read more
