I really enjoyed this little café in Annapolis. I do wish they had one in Baltimore. They have a variety of coffee beans you can purchase on the spot, as well as tea. In terms of the service, they did end up forgetting one of the drinks on my order and eventually made it, but I can overlook that because the prices and quality of their food and coffee is great. Street parking is limited and they do have outdoor seating as well. FOOD: I got these Chicken Artichoke Panini ($9) and it was delicious. The bread was nice and crispy and the chicken was flavorful and moist. I also had the St. Michael ($8.50), which was a tuna salad sandwich with dill, avocado, and sprouts. You can choose your choice of bread. COFFEE: I also got a triple shot of their famous Milano style espresso ($3.75) and it was strong. They do have a coffee bar where you can add your choice of creamers and sweeteners. Unfortunately they only had half and half when I was there. read more

We found this place by accident, and a happy accident it was! We ordered the chicken salad on a ciabatta and it was delicious! This is a quaint coffee and tea shop with excellent sandwiches and breakfast treats, and service was top notch! This is now on our places to stop every time we drive through Annapolis. read more

The atmosphere is inviting and the staff is friendly. The staff were wearing masks but I think it's honor system for customers. The shop in itself smells amazing. In fact I left out and smelled like coffee and caramel the whole way home. I got the Tiger chai with almond milk. It was really smooth. They put honey in the chai so if you're vegan, ask for another sweetener. The chai wasn't spicy but it was good. I think Calabash has the best chai in the DMV but Id get this again. I bought the gingerman tea to go. I'll have it tomorrow but it smells great. Similar to a chai. read more

I stopped by Baltimore Coffee & Tea Company for a coffee after a drive to Annapolis for work. It's located in Annapolis Town Center, so parking right nearby can be hard (you can, of course, park in the garage and walk over, but I was just getting a coffee to go and didn't realize it was in Annapolis Town Center). They roast a ton of different coffee beans!!! Some of them definitely aren't my taste (flavored coffee - not my thing), but there's so many types of coffee beans to choose from there will be something for you or whomever you're buying for! So it's a great place to go if you're shopping for freshly roasted beans. But I was there for a coffee beverage, and it's great for that, too. Had a very good iced americano, and quick, too! The service was great. And the space is large - with inside and outside seating! It definitely felt like a great coffeeshop for working or for work meetings since it's spacious and there's quite a bit of space between tables! I'll happily return for another coffee when I'm in Annapolis (especially if I'm doing some other shopping at Town Center)! read more

The varieties of coffee and tea are the most that I have ever seen in a shop. Over 60 different types coffee beans on display for pour-over and over 100 types of tea. It's an explorer's delight and an indecisive person's nightmare. My wife and I spent 2 hours there! We bought sandwiches, coffee, and tea. All sandwiches are served with a pickle spear and a choice of bread. The choices were croissant, country white, English muffin, honey grain, pretzel roll, ciabatta, tortilla, bagel, and marble rye. The Fort McHenry sandwich had turkey, bacon, brie, lettuce, tomato, onion, whole grain mustard, mayonnaise, and ciabatta bread. The bread had a hard crust and the crumb was dense, slightly chewy, and soft. The flavor was plain white bread. The turkey was tender and slightly dry. It had a good turkey flavor. The bacon had a good flavor and wasn't salty or crispy. The brie was almost flavorless. Brie tastes better melted which it wasn't in this sandwich. The whole grain mustard was weak in flavor. Everything was fresh! Overall, this was mild and okay tasting but not special. The Calvert club sandwich had turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pepper jack cheese, sriracha mayonnaise, and pretzel roll. Everything was fresh! The turkey and bacon were the same as the Ft McHenry sandwich. This was more flavorful than the Ft McHenry because of the spicy mayo, pretzel roll, and pepper jack cheese. I would get this again! The Fancy Bourbon Santos coffee was a full-bodied full city roast with a low acidity. It was a smooth Brazilian coffee with no bitterness. We drank it black with a tiny amount of sugar. It was that smooth! The sugar countered the slight burnt flavor. The Friendship Blend coffee was a medium-bodied full city roast with a medium acidity. It had beautifully balanced notes of nuts, cinnamon, and vanilla. We drank this one with nothing added. The blend of coffee beans was excellent. We bought 3 small boxes of tea and 3 sample packs of ground coffee (1.5 oz). Each coffee pack makes 30 oz of coffee. Each box of tea had 20 individually foil wrapped tea bags. They were made by Eastern Shore Tea Co, a company owned by Baltimore Coffee and Tea. Check my photos for the flavors we picked. I tried only the Blood Orange tea, so far. It had fine black tea, organic orange peel, and safflower petals. It had a smooth orange and mild black tea flavor with no bitterness. It had an orange and floral aroma but no safflower flavor. The safflower gives the tea an orange color. This is a well-balanced tea with an excellent flavor that is easy to drink by itself. The service was attentive, informative, and polite. The dining areas and restrooms were clean. There are 2 dining areas and 2 restrooms. The customer areas are well lit and spacious with a relaxing ambiance. Kudos to the owners for creating such a welcoming and interesting experience! The company was founded in 1992. They have 4 locations, all in Maryland: Annapolis, Frederick, Odenton, and Timonium. The roasting plant is in Timonium. This store has many items for sale besides tea and coffee. They have hot, cold, and frozen drinks, sandwiches, soups, salads, bagels, oatmeal, tea infusers, Chemex filters, Melitta filters, pour-over coffee makers, Toddy cold press, mugs, gourmet foods, and gift packages. This is a great place for food and drinks especially if you're looking for something special! So, give them a visit when you're in the neighborhood. read more

I love that you can bring and exchange books to read while you sip and munch on delicious pasties and breakfast sandwiches. Tl;dr- After being pretty excited to try this place, I was sorely let down in a variety of ways, if i could give 0 stars, I would... Sunday mornings my bf and I like to try a new coffee place, well I found this place and saw the variety and that they were local and was very excited to try them. Upon arriving, we were greeted with an overwhelming scent of flavored/ scented coffee.. I ordered a large quad shot latte with soy and my bf ordered a large NITRO cold brew, we also got a sausage egg and cheese on a croissant and bagel with lox & cream cheese... The coffee was ready pretty quickly, the latte was piping hot and the NITRO was looking dismal with only a slight frothy head and no falling layering to it (which if it's a NITRO, you know there's a cascade after pouring)... my latte was extremely bitter and tasted burned, and did NOT have soy... I could immediately tell this was not an enjoyable experience. Our food came up a couple minutes later and the bagel with lox and cream cheese looked nice, but was very chewy and the capers were on top and not in the cream cheese, resulting in most of them falling off while eating. My sausage egg and cheese croissant turned out to be a bacon egg and cheese croissant...and the croissant was so sadly smashed flat, it wasn't light and flaky like it should have been... I will not be recommending this place to anyone, I will deter others from wasting their time and money here, I will always be going around the block to the other local roastery that actually cares about quality and accuracy for their customers. read more

Stopped in here for coffee while visiting Annapolis. The inside has a store where one can buy tea or coffee in bulk to take home. I did not really look through it all but there seemed to be a good selection to choose from. The coffee we got was already brewed and was very good and was still very hot even though it was the afternoon and in coffee containers. They did have a couple flavors of already brewed decaf to choose from which my wife was very happy about. There were about four flavors of brewed regular coffee as well. Not an especially nice-looking store: the menus are designed in the style of a cafeteria, and the seating area is one large space with casual tables and chairs, without any dividers. In addition to the fresh coffee and tea, there's an extensive selection of boxed teas. Because I'm a sucker for anise and fennel, I bought a box of the Heath and Heather organic fennel tea. If I came back, I'd probably get something else because the tea is super weak. I may try doubling up on bags, or soaking it for 3x the recommended time to get some flavor out of it. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I work near this place and frequent it often. Not everyday, but enough that last year, a male employee gave me a card to be stamped with each drink purchase. He was kind enough to stamp me 3 times in advance because he recognized that I came in often. I don't drink coffee, only iced tea, large. I get the same drink each visit. The only thing I was told was after 10 stamps, I get a free drink. I thought great and thanked him for the 3 punches he gave me. A few months back, I took all my cards, because I would always forget them and asked that they be combined because between all of them, I was entitled to a free drink, which the female cashier was happy to oblige to me. I ordered the same thing, large unsweet iced tea. Not ONCE was I told then, the free drink does not apply to a large drink. Today, I again, had a free drink that I wanted to redeem. Presented my card after I ordered and was THEN told, this doesn't apply to my tea. I was told this was the policy for more than a year. I explained that a few months back I as given a free large tea on my last free one and no one EVER said anything to me then. I explained, I only by large tea, why would I get a punch for a more expensive drink to get a cheaper one free? That doesn't seem right or fair. I also I was never told it EVER applied to only smaller drinks. What's the point? I will NEVER visit this place again and I want it known to anyone that looks at these, don't go! Until today, I had always had a pleasant experience in the store. Customer service no longer exists. I was polite the entire time and did not make a scene, but I was unhappy when I tried to explain my side and was denied because someone didn't do their job. read more

I saw a big ship and the word "coffee" on a sign. That was enough to make me pull a u-turn on Bestgate Road and find the Baltimore Coffee and Tea Company. This is actually a pretty large outlet store that somehow made it's way over the bridge to land on the Annapolis side of the bay, away from all it's Eastern Shore outlet brethern. It's HYOOOGE for a coffee shop, and it's stocked full of every manner of teas and coffee beans, displayed in big barrells. The coffee bar itself offers the usual suspects of lattes, frappes, and weird, hyper caloric combinations, but they also have several large brew stands with coffee choices for coffee purists. I went with a cup of Ethiopian Harrar, and I'm happy to report that someone is paying attention to roasting and time...it was a very good cup of coffee. :) As for atmosphere, this particular location has taken advantage of the large space and gigantic windows to create a bright, sunny spot to relax, drink, read and possibly wait for the kids, who are no doubt wreaking havoc across the road at the Annapolis Mall. They have free wifi too, so take the laptop along if you're dropping the mall rats off. :) read more

Coffee and Tea right? Well yes but mostly Coffee. You can get a cup, a shot or a whole bag of coffee beans in any type they do. There is so much coffee here, that when you walk it's difficult to look past it to see that there are already prepared coffees. They also have pastries and some breakfast items, and great coffee gifts that put Starbucks to shame. I have had both coffee and tea here, and they were all good. Everyone here was very helpful, and they even serve soy milk on request. The only drawback to this place, they don't open till 7am. I am usually already on my way gone buy the time they are opening up. read more

Love the coffee! The Almond Joy is probably my favorite. This is one of my favorite places to get local gifts for the holidays. They have a HUGE selection of coffee and tea and beverage making kitchenware. They have tea from the Eastern Shore Tea Co, so if you're into local stuff They are like a regular coffee shop with food, coffee and snacks. You can shop the store or connect to their wifi and get some work done. They have ALOT of seating for a coffee shop, so this is a great place to get together with a group of friends. As for their coffee, they have a limited selection of REAL coffee ie coffee that isn't infused with flavors like orange, raspberries and other fruits that I don't think belongs in coffee. Their Sumatra Mandeling is probably my favorite from this place. Not really a coffee connoisseur type of a place. But a great place if you like froffy coffee. The nice thing about this place is that they have frequent buyer program and where for every 1/4 lb of coffee you buy you get a stamp on a card. collect 20 and you get 1lb of coffee for free. First time at this particular BC&T but the service was just as excellent at this one as the one in Odenton that I visit frequently. Service at BC&T is the highlight of any trip here along with how well kept the establishments are. Yes this may seem to be something simple but in this day and age finding great service and a clean establishment in the same visit is a rarity. You can many local favorites there and it was like deja vu as I sampled some Popsation at a recent Yelp Event (90s House Party) that I buy from time to time from BC&T. Now back to the service that makes it great. I like the fact that this place will let you know if you qualify for a discount if you are in uniform (first responders, military). There are many places where if you don't ask the staff act like it is too much to say five little words that mean so much. Those words are you qualify for a discount. So simple but yet so appreciated and I thank you for that. On this particular day I ordered what has become one of my favorite drinks. I am not a big coffee drinker but BC&T you have changed me. I went with the Cupids Kiss latte and to all those reading this review it is a must try. It is a spiced berry and chocolate flavored latte that needs no additional sweetener or milk. It is perfect as is. Seeing that this was my first time at this location I am keeping it at four stars until I sample some of their food here. read more

I am an avid BC&T costumer, but while their quality has remained consistent, I am not happy about the new location in the Annapolis Town Center. It's inconvenient to have to go find parking at a parking garages, because the 5 parking spots right out front are almost always taken. I have switched to going to Whole Foods and Bean Rush instead for ease of accessibility. I assume purpose of the relocation was to increase food traffic, but I personally wouldn't go out of my way to drive around looking for a parking space for a quick cup of coffee. My go to tea/coffee spot in any location, but I love coming here first before wandering around the Annapolis town center. Service here is quick, efficient and friendly. They are very helpful in providing suggestions and assisting in asking any questions. When I'm here my friends usually purchase pounds of coffee beans to bring home, but I typically just get some tea. My favorite tea is the tiger chai with milk. It's like a chai tea but with stronger flavors. I usually get this iced, I have not had it warm. I have had the vanilla chai hot, which is really good; honestly any type of chai here is highly recommended. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating at this location which I really appreciate. The chicken artichoke Panini is pretty tasty and their cold brew taste good also. The total for both was about $11 which is slightly expensive, but about what you would pay at Starbucks or anywhere else, and we're in Annapolis so there you go. Oh sorrow! This store has just relocated to the Parole shopping center. This makes access much more of a bother than when it was in their original location. Before you could drive right into a spacious parking lot within a few feet of the door. You could be in and out within minutes. Now, parking access is much less convenient. You have to find a parking spot in a garage some distance away as street parking is very limited. I am sure the products are still nice, but I don't want to spend 20 minutes or more shopping here, walking a considerable distance to boot. Bad management decision to relocate; I can't imagine why they did it. I now buy my coffee beans from a high-quality roaster over the internet. So sad! read more

Hands down the best coffee in Annapolis. First off the place is huge on the inside. Coffee sits out in bean-bags for you to sample and they boast a large selection of tea and coffee accessories that you can purchase as well. The coffee itself is well brewed and less bitter and burnt than the Starbucks or City Dock offerings. They also offer very cheap refills on drip or iced coffee while you're sitting the shop enjoying the free wifi and nifty coffee bean tables. The specialty drinks are equally good with a variety of interesting latte flavors to choose from. They offer a small assortment of refrigerated salads and sandwiches along with baked goods to snack on. This place seemed exciting when they first opened. A new shop, with TONS of coffee bean selections, gelato and a wide tea range? Add a nice, smoke-free patio? Well, it sounded good. And it smells good. But the coffee selection isn't really great, just broad flavor-wise. Their espresso drinks tend on the overly sweet, or the bizarre. The chicken salad sammich is certainly tasty, but it's not worth the awful, terrible, no good "acoustic" covers of pop songs on the stereo. The originals would be fine, but it's the same knockoff versions of Beatles and Leonard Cohen over and over. They could at least be decent covers, if you have to cover these... However, I LOVE the smoke-free patio, as I and my wife adore the outdoors, but she's allergic to tobacco and I just dislike it. Too often you find any outdoor seating overtaken by fuming crowds of smoking dilettantes. Here is nice, but you're still subjected to the poor cafe music. I'd say, this place makes a really good stop in for some break from the mall across the way, and they have a good lunch. The tea shop section is great, but I wouldn't spend much time here. read more

This is a place where you can actually get a decent cup of coffee or latte or whatever else and have room to sit down and relax or talk with someone. It is most definitely NOT the crowded, rushed and small cubby holes that Starbucks calls a "coffee shop". Not only do they serve decent coffee here, they also have real, whole beans that are nicely displayed to look at and smell. Lots of good sandwiches and tasty treats. It's not the cheapest by a long shot but the overall friendliness of the staff and ambiance of the shop more than make up for the expense. Plenty of parking, too. read more

I had just moved in to the apartment building upstairs, and decided to give the shop a try, hoping to find my new favorite coffee shop in my apt building. I Walked inside it smelled amazing, so I couldn't wait to try the coffee. It's a very nice looking shop on Annapolis Towne Centre I noticed that they have a large assortment of coffee beans in open bags near the counter..it's a nice display, with some wonderful smelling coffees. When I went to the Counter to order 2 small mochas, the lady behind the counter was not friendly. Either she was having a very stressful day, or needs serious customer service training. l walked In with a smile on my face, but did not leave that way :(. It felt like I was just another obstacle in her evening, with the dead expression, monotone voice, and no greeting at all..it felt like I was hassling her to pay $10 for 2 small cups of expresso , milk and chocolate. Unfortunately, the mocha was bad. I hate to compare to a major franchise, but the Baltimore Coffee and Tea company isn't even close to Starbucks, Peet's, or anything in that league. Save money, get some drinkable coffee and decent customer service across the street at the Starbucks in target, or at at McDonald's. I don't recommend their expresso/mochas. read more
