I've never had a bad experience here. The people are courteous and my order is always accurate. The food is amazing. Today's order was a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with fries and a large fountain drink. Grilled sandwich is on point. However, if you've never had "The Bobby" you are missing out. We were short on time so decided to stop in. Only ones in the place and no workers behind the counter. After 5 mins I looked around and saw a woman working in the kitchen. She was talking to someone else. She turned to look at me, turned back around and walked away. She didn't say one word to us like " we'll be right there" nothing. After waiting 10 more mins with no service, we just left. We'll never go there again. read more

This place is awesome. A friend who lives nearby recommended Capriotti's for lunch. We were very pleasantly surprised. The menu is pretty big. Lots of sandwiches of various types to choose from. Everything is freshly made. And delicious. I got a simple chicken cheesesteak and it was great. The people working at the counter were crazy friendly and professional. We had a pretty large order and they go tit all done quite quickly. Even though we had a takeout order the place has a lot of tables and was not too noisy. Probably nice to eat in if you want to. Ate here yesterday. Broken AC, so it's 83 and humid as a sauna in there. They had just mopped, and I kid you not it smelled like used toilet water. Watched a couple customers come in and walk back right out. If we weren't so hungry, we would not have stayed to eat. Food was mediocre. The meatball subs all fell apart. I ordered a cheese steak, it was okay, but I've had better. Other Capriotti's locations are better overall -- and they should really have a portable AC unit when it's 95* and 70% humidity outside. read more

It was actually hotter inside the restaurant than it was outside, and it was over 90 degrees outside. The takeout order was not correctly prepared. One sandwich was gloppy with 3 times too much coleslaw and no cheese. One was prepared with mostly dark meat turkey and no coleslaw. All in all a bad experience and we will not be back. read more

I was familiar with the original Capriotti's in Newark, DE (friend of a friend's family business), but heard mixed reviews about them once they franchised in the 90s. We found a location near to where my buddy was moving in Annapolis, so I had to give this location a try. For me, there's nothing better on the menu than The Bobbie. Glad to see theres now the option to have The Bobbie served hot (vs the traditional cold), which I absolutely prefer. It's a Thanksgiving Turkey sandwich (to those who are unfamiliar), but they slow-roast real turkey so the taste is exceptionally good and authentic. So you've got turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on a sub (served hot or cold) with a little mayo. It won "best sandwich" awards for a very good reason. And to be able to eat this anytime of year, not just the holidays, is awesome. BUT, the one thing these franchise locations can't duplicate: the bread. The original DE store had crispy Italian bread for sub rolls, and I've yet to encounter one that can even come close to that quality of bread. Like a bagel shop outside of NY/NJ, they'll say it's the water that makes it taste different and un-duplicatable. (Or do they just cheap out and get cheaper mass-produced rolls rather than ones from an Italian bread/bakery?) Either way, it detracts a bit from what could be an absolutely epic sandwich. Still, if you haven't tried one, you really must. Crusty bread or no, it's worth the trip. Oh, and get the "small"...that's a normal sized sub, cut in half, like you're used to. If you get any larger, expect to share or have leftovers! read more

A few hand fulls of lettuce and tomatoes with the equivalent of 3 slices of peppered ham doesn't seem like the "Italian meats" in the description. As well as I asked for no cheese because of dietary issues - it was covered in cheese and the wrong dressing was provided. $15 for this is a joke and your store should be embarrassed by this - after I removed the cheese this is what I was left with. read more

Well somehow my review got deleted even after the Calriotti customer service contacted me. I have eaten at multiple units of this chain. Including this one. In the past the sandwiches were fine. This time however the experience was horrible. We ordered the $23 cheese steak with mushrooms and onions. Sadly the sandwich was overcooked to the point the meat was tough, no real cheese left and honestly couldn't find the onions and mushrooms. They were not busy. Only one other table and he had been served. As someone who has owned sandwich stores the chain needs to look at the personnel. Be careful what you order. read more

I went here a couple months ago and we ordered online and I picked up. It wasn't until we were away that we noticed our order was wrong. We double checked the recipe and food and It was wrong. But I had gotten my salad but It had salad slime In It and was not edible. It was the nasty black wilted leaves. So I left feedback on their website and the manager got back to me and assured me It was a bad day (they also weren't wearing masks all the time or appropriately). She offered me a replacement meal and said It would be in a book behind the counter. I was hesitant and time went by. Today we tried again. Ana we entered and there was a family seated eating and two people waiting. We thought this would be quick. We come up to the counter and we were not greeted. Just looked at. I told her that I had spoken to a manager that said my name would be in the book for a replacement meal. She looked and said there's no one with that name in the book. My husband and I were upset. I come her because they have a vegan meat option. My husband ordered a sandwich and I passed being I was a bit dissatisfied but didn't want to say more. She was nice and took the order and we waited. Waited 15 minutes. Four people were making sandwiches and It seemed slow. While we waited we saw a man of a different color come in the restaurant and she greeted him with a good afternoon and how are you. I felt maybe she didn't treat us the same because of our color and that made me feel worse. She also went behind the sandwich line and chatted up the sandwich makers. And then When we were called for our Order we were standing pretty close and she yelled our name loudly. The man that handed her the sandwich also wasn't wearing his mask correctly over his nose.
