We usually pick up pizza from Bambino's and call in the order. The pizza this time was horrible. We had ordered large pie with half no cheese with anchovies and the other half regular with extra cheese. We get the pie home and clearly it was not freshly made or was a pie somebody didn't pick up. no extra cheese and anchovies and cheese on the other half. We tasted it and the pie was so stale we just threw it out. We were hungry too! Just couldn't eat that! Yuk! That pie was sitting around a long time before it made it into the box! read more

I've just ordered lunch from here and picked it up and each time it's been great (and very fast). Their salads are terrific.... I've had the grilled chicken caesar and the chicken and Gorgonzola cheese. Last week I had a grilled chicken on focaccia bread and it was so good. It was also very filling...stuffed with chicken, veggies and cheese. I could only eat half and had the rest the next day for lunch. I stopped by here on the way home for a quick lunch. I had two slices of cheese pizza and a soda. I was keeping it simple. The pizza is thin crust NY style pizza. Bambinos is a straight up classic pizza/pasta joint, the kind that brings a slice of the Bronx right to Danbury. I have always gotten good food from Bambinos. Today, I ordered for delivery because of joint issues acting up and it being best on me to stay put. My order arrived, and it was missing the side of meatballs that I ordered and was charged for. I called them up and probably gave them a harder time than they deserved. The end result was a lightning fast delivery of the missing meatballs as well as some garlic knots and a soda to make up for the inconvenience. The owner of Bambino's is a real tool. A few reasons why: The Green Grunion food truck was in the parking lot of the office building across the street from Bambino's and the owner threatened to file a complaint with the city because the truck was supposedly taking away business from them (even though the Green Grunion is Mexican food, not pizza, and was across the street, not in the Bambino's parking lot). The Green Grunion now parks further back in the parking lot, no big deal. But the saga continues! The deli across the street has a man set-up with food in the lobby of the office building across the street from Bambino's. Again, the guy is selling salads, soups, sandwiches, etc.--not pizza. The Bambino's owner must feel threatened by this because he threatened to sick the city on the guy for health code violations once he got word that this was happening. Obviously, Bambino's cannot just serve good pizza and have people come of their own accord. Instead they sell crappy pizza and try to eliminate any competition in the area so that people will HAVE to eat Bambino's as the owner has eliminated all other options from the area! I will never eat at Bambino's on principle. Also, I walked in once and immediately left because the pizza they had sitting out looked like day-old leftovers from Chuck E. Cheese. This place back in the day had the best pizza and philly cheese steaks. I stopped in tonight and ordered a philly cheesesteak with onions, peppers, and mushrooms and two specialty slices. At checkout, it was discovered that instead of giving me my two slices, they had given me a serving of lasagna. Ok, problem averted right? Nope, somehow they still fucked up my order. I got home and found I had the philly cheesesteak and some cheese and pepperoni hero. The philly cheese steak had practically no cheese in it and the peppers and onions tasted like they had begun to turn.
