Phenomenal. The best. I am actually speechless. The service was friendly and attentive, the food is made from extremely fresh ingredients, the vibe was chef's kiss. I will be back. It will be soon!

Great vibes and the pizza is better than most others! Dined in this time but nice to know they have a drive through! Bonus start bc I loved that they had big brother on the TV!

I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and it was COMPLETELY empty this is red flag number one. The gentleman working the register wasn't rude but he wasn't pleasant either, just kind of "there". I order a cheese slice and a beer and take a seat. The restaurant is small and a little too warm. There's baseball on the screen so it's not too bad. When this dude brought me the slice I was immediately underwhelmed. It didn't have the visual appeal of good pizza. The size of the slice ALONE was a let down, add that it was 4 bucks and we are deep in the red. To top it all off the slice tasted like that schoolhouse pizza. The rectangle one. The crust wasn't thick nor thin. The sauce was bad and Not well seasoned. The cheese is what really takes me back to the middle school lunchroom. I really don't know how this spot is surviving in Montrose. I won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend spending anyone's money here.

Good pizza great service. The crust is thick and buttery and they're heavy on the sauce.

I was walking through the town and smelled something amazing. I saw a place with no lights on, no line in the drive thru, and you couldn't even tell there were people inside. But this smell was so tantalizing I could not just keep walking past. I found the name and looked the place up on maps. On the restaurant info it said the place was closed, and it looked closed, but I called anyway and a man answered and that was all I needed, just to know someone was inside. I turned back and went towards the smell. Once inside it was dark, but I love dark spaces, the darkness is often my friend, and I found love inside of this dark place. I ordered the meat lover breakfast taco and in one bite my taste buds came alive. It makes me want to buy a house in the neighborhood. This is one of those family owned shops where you want to go there enough to become part of the family. Good food, good vibe, lovely atmosphere. Check them out and tell them I sent you.

We spent a few hours in Montrose and looking at the "vintage" shops. Was hungry, but didn't want much so we came here. A lot of complaints about customer service and being rude, but has anyone ever encountered happy people at a pizza place?? I got 2 slices of pizza. I really liked the pizza. I don't like a lot of sauce on the pizza while my husband does. Mine had the perfect amount of sauce on it without overdoing it. Husband wished it was saucier, but I liked it for a quick bite.

Not sure why this place doesn't get more love! This place makes a pretty fine pie. I live in Brooklyn, arguably the pizza capital of the US, so I've eaten my fair share of great pizza. Bambolino's is really interesting - I agree with Farrah A - it's not a NYC style pizza or thin crust...and it's not really deep dish either; although the buttery/oily crispy bottom and thicker-than-most dough is reminiscent of Detroit style pizza, but then again, Bambolino's is not cooked in a pan - it really is its own style of pizza and it's damn delicious. As Yelper Rosy A mentioned, the supreme/all-the-way is where it's at. They definitely do not skimp on the ingredients - it's chock full of goodies/meats/veggies (check out the pic!). Prices are super reasonable for the amount of food you get too. The place is charming/old school. There's some tables indoor with a television that usually has some local sports on, and then a nice outdoor space with picnic tables that's covered which is a great place to hang out when the weather is nicer. Beer is super cheap too! My brother and sister-in-law rave about the frozen lemonade, although I haven't tried it just yet. The guys who work here are super chill as well. From the reviews it looks like they make some great breakfast tacos as well, so will have to check them out in the mornings in the future. Anyhow, if you're craving some pizza, definitely give Bambolino's a shot!

This is absolutely my favorite new pizza spot. I usually get the pepperoni. The sauce is so flavorful. I usually am one to need toppings, ranch, pepper flakes, hot sauce on my pizza but I can just eat this one as is. The crust is super flaky and and airy as well.

    Meat lovers pizza!

The lighting and atmosphere was perfect for a quaint date night. And I want to know what jazz playlist they were playing because it was great. What blew it out of the water was the service, particularly by the owner himself. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, having the owner on the floor is almost never seen. But this man was working all jobs: helping the hostess when she got super busy, food running, bussing, checking up on all tables, doing the best for everyone. Plus, he was incredibly kind with an amazing smile. Idk what he saw in my partner and I, but he gave us tiramisu on the house. We are not fancy influencers or rich folk, and I feel that was kinda obvious. But I think he did it just to make our date night a lil bit more special. And that kind of effort should be rewarded.

You can tell there's a real focus on fresh ingredients and authentic Italian flavors. The food is flavorful and satisfying without feeling overly heavy or salty like many American Italian chains. I feel comfortable feeding my child the food from here. I'm so glad to have found a quality Italian restaurant in Houston that lets the ingredients and flavors speak for themselves. Even the panna cotta was delicious, and I'm usually not much of a dessert person! Definitely a 5-star experience. We'll be back!

I've had Mimo on my radar for a couple of years, but somehow I never found the right occasion to finally give it a try. Well, celebrating both my birthday and wedding anniversary seemed like a pretty good reason! I must say, Mimo had to fight hard to earn those five stars. The experience was memorable, not necessarily because it was perfect, but because it wasn't. The imperfections, oddly enough, are what made it memorable. Let's start with the menu. There aren't many dishes, which is generally speaking a good sign these days. There's really no excuse not to use fresh ingredients when you're working with a smaller menu. At the same time, I wouldn't say the offerings were particularly adventurous. That said, the quality was definitely there. We started with the Fritter as an appetizer, and it was super delicious. The combination of fried zucchini, corn, and that touch of honey somehow really worked! Then we ordered a pasta dish each, under the common assumption that a pasta dish in most Italian restaurants (including the ones in Italy) is supposed to be filling. Well... no! These were pretty small. I ordered the spaghetti al limone, while my wife went for the gnocchi. Both were good, although the spaghetti were cooked somewhere on the borderline between al dente and chewy. The corn in the gnocchi also felt a little alien, like it didn't really belong there. Still, we couldn't deny that the flavors were good and the ingredients were fresh. Oddly enough, we were still hungry, so we ordered a second dish each: the Pork Milanese for me and the Pesce del Giorno for my wife. And this is where Mimo saved the day! The Pork Milanese, with mortadella and pecorino cheese on top, was delicious. And the polenta that came with my wife's dish was one of the best I've ever had. Interestingly, these dishes were disproportionately larger, more than making up for the minuscule portions of the pasta dishes. So, I guess it all worked out in the end! Another date saver was the service. It was outstanding. Attentive, friendly, and exactly what you would expect from a restaurant trying to create a special experience. Then came dessert: the Zeppole. It was good, but nothing particularly special. To me, it tasted like churros made with a dough that incorporated ricotta. Not bad at all, just not something I'll be dreaming about later. And that was our experience at Mimo! I think the review probably benefited from the fact that I was there celebrating a special occasion. It was a somewhat strange experience, with some ups and downs, but we genuinely enjoyed it. Would I be back? Possibly... Four stars stretched to five? Yeah... FIVE Stars!

The fresh red pepper offered at the table really kicked the flavor up a notch. Beet salad (8/10)- nice presentation. The fried cheese, tomatoes & candied pecans are a great complement to the beets and greens. Add the fresh cracked black pepper offered by the server. Seafood lasagna (8/10) - the seafood is not lacking! Its very seafood-forward. Salmon, shrimp, clams. You definitely know you are eating seafood. The cheese/seafood/pasta/sauce ratio is spot on, well balanced. It felt more like a seafood dish than a lasagna/pasta dish. My only complaint (and it's not really a negative) is I was in the mood for lasagna & after eating this dish, although it was very good, I still had a hankering for lasagna. We ordered the tiramisu for dessert, and nowhere on the menu did it mention that it was served with a slice of kiwi hidden underneath the whipped cream. I'm allergic to kiwi, and because it was completely covered, I didn't realize it was there until after I had already taken a bite. I brought this to our server's attention, not because I was looking for a discount or anything free, but simply because I wanted the staff to be aware so this wouldn't happen to another customer with a food allergy. Instead, the first response I received was asking if I had read the menu, which I had. Unfortunately, the menu never mentioned kiwi being part of the dessert. What really bothered me was overhearing the conversation afterward. Our server spoke with another staff member a few booths away, and I heard comments along the lines of, "Well, he should've mentioned his allergy," and "He should've asked." It felt like the responsibility was being placed entirely on me rather than acknowledging that an undisclosed ingredient had been served. I understand that customers with allergies should communicate them whenever possible, but I also think restaurants have a responsibility to disclose ingredients that aren't typically expected, especially when they're hidden in the presentation. I've had tiramisu many times and have never encountered one served with kiwi tucked beneath whipped cream. Again, the food itself was good, and this review isn't about trying to get compensation. I genuinely wanted to help prevent a similar situation for someone else. Unfortunately, the way my concern was handled left me feeling dismissed and caused me to lose confidence in the restaurant's approach to food allergies.
