Tasty Chinese food, with both authentic and Westernized dishes and several vegan/vegetarian options. We were seated by the owner and I confirmed with him that they do not use fish sauce, oyster sauce, or animal based broths in their vegetarian dishes, so they should all be completely vegan. I had the sizzling tofu which was extremely delicious, and a favorite even for my omnivore parents. The inside is very welcoming and clean, and the bathroom is surprisingly spacious and also very clean. They have a tv where they play Chinese movies and television with no sound which I found pretty entertaining. The owner was very friendly and talkative.

    Sizzling Tofu

Bamboo Cafe is under new management. When we went to eat there the week before last, we found out they've added four new dishes to the menu. The first picture is our old favorite, the sizzling tofu, and the second and third pictures are from the new dish menu. All taste delicous!

We haven't been here in a few years. I remember thinking I really liked it last time I was there. The only good thing was the speedy delivery. We ordered cashew chicken, Mongolian beef, and potstickers. There was absolutely no sauce or flavor on the chicken. The Mongolian beef was nearly all onions. The chicken was also filled with onions and barely veggies or cashews. The potstickers were ok. I don't think we will try this place again.

Nine out of 10 times your delivery order will arrive like this with the sauce spilling out. The restaurant should use better containers

We had a great lunch here. Orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. Nicely cooked and presented. Would definitely come back.

They take cash, Venmo, or Zelle, no cards!! The inside is beautifully decorated. It gives me family vibes with how wholesome it feels. The service was standard in that the food took about 20 minutes to come out. The server was so nice! They didn't label their individual menu items as gluten free but there was an added note that all items except two were gluten free, which was a wonderful surprise!! My dad and I split the student noodles and the yorm chicken salad. The student noodles (with tofu) were outstanding. The sauce was so savory and umami and YUM. The tofu had a nice char on it and the cabbage soaked up the sauce too... I love and want to go back to order it again. The yorm chicken salad was a nice large portion and so fresh. It had a slight kick to it but the basil's and parsley allowed for a nice balance. I would also get this again but when we come back (we will), I'm thinking I want to try the lemongrass chicken dish! If there are a lot of people coming in at once, they can get a little backed up. The internet says they open at 6pm but the server said you can come as early as 3pm.

This is my first time trying Cambodian food and it was very delicious. Full of similar flavors to Thai / Filipino food. The Lemongrass soup tasted like Tom Yung and the Porkchop tasted like Filipino BBQ. The Beef Skewer had a lemongrass/coconut marinade to it which was a hit. We also had the Seafood Platter but I only tasted the salmon and it was pretty good. I'm allergic to scallops and was too lazy to peel the shrimp but I also was pretty full lol This family-owned Cambodian eater in Phoenix is a must try serving up some traditional dishes This is definitely a hidden gem!

I've been to China Chili three times now, so I can safely say it's my favorite Chinese restaurant…read morein town. On my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Friday evening for dinner. They have complimentary parking in the front, side, and back of the restaurant. There aren't a ton of spots, but there's street parking close by too. Ambiance (3.5/5): Like most Chinese restaurants, China Chili is pretty no frills. Which isn't a problem for me at all, I'm there for the food. It's a spacious restaurant with both regular tables and circular tables that rotates (good for large groups sharing dishes). Service (4/5): Fantastic service is also not something I expect at a Chinese restaurant. Yet again, I'm there for the food. With that being said, service, while not overly friendly, is typically pretty efficient. Which I always appreciate. Drinks (4/5): Pretty much your standard soft drinks, tea, and a limited selection of alcoholic beverages. My favorite option is their buddha beer which you don't see in a lot of places. It's a lager and it's in a buddha-shaped bottle. It doesn't get much better than that. Food (5/5): The first time I came was for one of my favorite dishes... Peking duck. There aren't a ton of spots in Phoenix that have it, but out of the ones that do, China Chili serves it at a high level. You can go with either crepes or baos (additional surcharge). The duck is absolutely to die for. Flavorful, juicy meat with crispy skin that fits in perfectly into your mini "sandwich" with green onions and Hoisin sauce. For a reasonable price too. Their food outside of duck is of a similar quality. I especially like their flat noodles with beef. Even classic dishes like sesame chicken have a twist here. It's sliced chicken rather than fully breaded chicken. Just as good as the typical way, the sauce is delicious. My only complaint? They give you a pretty small helping of white rice with your dish. Outside of that, the portions are generous. Everything I've had at China Chili has been a hit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

This is the first time I have had Chinese food in some time. I can't say more. Many people there early on Sunday but not overly noisy, they also have take out. My server wrapped my food up nicely to take with me and put in a bag. Quite a nice touch.

A Mesa Asian District Gem Worth Seeking Out…read more Asian Cafe Express is a lovely strip mall gem near H-Mart in Mesa's Asian District, and after 21 years in business, it clearly has a loyal following for good reason. We brought in a fresh lobster from H-Mart to try their "bring your own seafood" cooking option and chose the garlic onion stir fry preparation. It's $14.99 for anything under 2 lbs and $7.50/lbs for anything over. It came out excellent, served over crispy egg noodles with classic Asian flavors and plenty of wok-fired goodness. We also enjoyed the Peking pork ribs, which were deboned, tasty, and slightly sweet; the stir-fried green beans, which were fresh and well prepared; and the garlic spicy chicken wings, which were especially flavorful and highly recommended. The red bean drinks were traditional and satisfying, with soft, nicely soaked mung beans and no milk. Service was friendly, efficient, and personal, handled by a couple of ladies who clearly know the restaurant and their customers well. While we were there, plenty of regulars came in for takeout and several tables were happily dining in. Overall, we really enjoyed Asian Cafe Express and were surprised we had not stopped in sooner. Highly recommend, especially for the "bring your own seafood" cooking option and the garlic spicy wings. We will definitely be back.

We were seated and it actually took longer than I expected to get a drink order. No diet beverages due to a broken dispenser. I saw that they had a small Indian beer selection, so I ordered an Old Monk which was displayed at the bar and in the menu. "Sorry, we don't have a liquor license". OK. I'll have water which was on the table in covered carafes but was warm since any ice had long ago melted. They have a strange menu of Chinese and Indian food. Not a big selection of either, but it allowed me to select Indian and my wife to choose Chinese. I asked about the portion size of the Chicken 65 and was told it was a starter sized portion. My wife wanted Sweet and Sour but not chicken or shrimp, she wanted tofu. The kitchen agreed to make it but told us up front that they weren't sure how it would be (found that odd). We also ordered Lo Mein since we assumed the Chicken 65 would be smaller. With all these troubles, the food came and it was very good. The Chicken 65 was a very large starter. I thought it was very good with the exception of finding some cartilage chunks in the meat. The sweet-and-sour tofu was also very good. I am not sure why the kitchen did not have confidence in their abilities. Lo mein was just average. When it was time for the check, the waiter wanted to know if we wanted a box for the little bit of lo mein that was left and we said no so he inquired to whether or not we like the dish and offered to take it off the bill or make us something different. We told him that everything was fine. The food was fine and we were just ready to go. All in all, I don't think we would return here due to the lack of selection on the menu. It was kind of limited. The menu was also confusing since it didn't group things together very well.
