I am SO disappointed with this nail salon. Stay away! I am all for second chances but I will never be back here again. My sister and cousin talked me into trying a new place with them and they both hated their nails as well, to the point where my sister ripped hers off the same day! First, let me start by saying I was sat down at a table and the man glued the fake nail to my real nails. A woman walked in from earlier and said "Okay I'm back". So the man asked if I could "hold on for one second" and I assumed she just needed them painted so I could wait a sec. WRONG. He was finishing her nails and had the light out for gel nails.. Then he finishes and I assume he is coming back to do my nails. . WRONG AGAIN. He sits her down to do a pedicure for her as well! Now Im not one to be impatient but to have me wait 45 min is NOT "holding on for one second ". Meanwhile, other customers came and were taken care of. This was beyond unacceptable to me. As I was waiting I noticed one of my nails was so crooked and asked two other employees if it could just be taken off and re applied,one nail and they looked at me like I was crazy. When the man finally came back over he also looked at me like he didnt see what I was talking about and said he can make it look better, which you see in the picture that was a lie. I am not one to complain but 3 employees doing nothing for me and just letting me wait that long is ridiculous. I went in wanting to spend whatever necessary to have nice nails and good service but ended up asking for the basic because he had already glued nail tips on and I just wanted to get out of there. This is by far the best nail place I've ever been to. I recently moved about an hour away from here and I tried for a couple months to find a new nail place that was as good as bamboo. I couldn't find anyone I liked as much so now I drive over an hour to continue getting my nails done here. The staff is wonderful and always so kind and helpful. They love their customers, you can definitely tell. Their pricing are very reasonable especially considering how great their skills are. I never have to worry my nail is going to pop off - every other place I've gone to I lose nails but I've gotten my nails done at bamboo for 2 years and never once has a nail popped off. I got my nails done there just over a week ago and the guy at station 3 did a less the stellar job. I asked for him to fix 3 of my nails because they were crooked. He gripped about it but fixed them while complaining he was so tired because it's been so busy. I'm a hair dresser believe me I know it's been busy since salons re-opened. Less than a week later I went back because none of my nails were the same thickness or shape. The guy that fixed them at station 1 came out to talk to me and the original guy at station 3 came out yelling at me, swung his arm out towards me and told me to leave! The man at station 1 tried to fix my nails, the thickness is better but they are still crooked! As he finished the man at station 3 yelled at me to leave and never come back. So if you want to be treated like garbage while you get your nails done this is the perfect salon to go to! read more

Very disappointing!!!! Due to overall reviews and proximity to home (in comparison to my normal shop) I decided to check this salon out. All I needed was change of polish (shellac) on my hands and toes. In 4 days my nails were chipping.... So I call to express my disappointment. I was told I can come in later today for them to fix my nails but I had to work (I work crazy hours). I tell her I work and can come in first thing Monday (they are closed Sundays). I was told that's almost 2 weeks later and shellac lasts 2 weeks. She proceeded to question why didn't I just come in as soon as I noticed a chip, etc etc. What an inconvenience!!! I paid the same amount I pay for a pedicure and manicure just to get a change of polish that didn't last. But the lack of customer service is the icing on the cake. This shop is less than 3 minutes from my house but I will NOT BE BACK. I'd rather drive 30minutes to CD Nails where my money and time spent is respected. read more

I went in on Wednesday 2/19 and got a gel/shellac manicure. It started lifting within a day or two. Today 2/24 it all peeled right off. It didn't tear my nails up at all. Not a quality manicure for sure. *UPDATE* I went back and Rosie fixed my nails on 2/28. She did such an amazing job and took extra steps to insure my manicure would last this time. Thank you Rosie. My first time here. I asked for shellac. Idk what brand of polish they are using but it ain't it! Polish started chipping next day! Shellac doesn't do that. My nail broke off and the thump chipped. Look at photo. Shellac hardens the nails. My regular place was closed. So I went here. What a huge mistake. And charged me 30$ for whatever nail polish that wasn't shellac on my nails. Will go to my regular from now on. $24 for shellac. Lasting results. No chipped or broken nails. Will never go back here! read more

I brought my daughter to this establishment b/c the outside looked appealing and welcoming. My daughter was preparing for her Prom so I wanted her nail experience to be special. Upon entering this business, we witnessed two employees argue throughout our entire time being there... So distracted, the man snatched the money out of my hand, while arguing and finishing up my daughter's nails. He later threw my baby's hand back after having to fix a smudge. Don't bother. Dearborn is not exactly a hot bed for luxury and good service but this place was especially disappointing. I felt like an unwanted guest in someone's home. The quality of my manicure was so so, not bad but lacking. As an aside, I have no idea why the lighting where you pick out the polish is so shadowy. Update: got a manicure done for a wedding and the guy was terrible. He made my nails narrow, uneven and pointy. I asked for a lady to try to even them out but he had butchered them so much it was no use. I had to go home and file them keep from scratching my child. They left a gap near my nail that already made them look like they were a week old. My nails also peeled off and took my nail with it. Both ladies next to me were cut and bleeding and all they were told is "it's not bad. It doesn't hurt." Do not go here!!!!! Past: Awesome experience. The staff were so friendly and got us in right away. Strangely for 2pm on a Saturday they were dead and set up for maybe 30+. The women that did my toes was great but the man who did my moms cut her nails down way too short which hurt. SAVE yourself a trip and your money! Was excited to try this place out as its by my house- came a couples times prior and a younger lady with perfect English was super nice and the gentleman with glasses was good. Stopped in on a Saturday and an older man with dirty hands started on my manicure - he soaked my hands for 20 seconds then started cutting my cuticles as my SKIN WAS DRY. I let him keep doing that as I am not a complainer but then my half assed manicure turned into him painting my nails and SKIN. I said sir, you are getting shellac on my skin and he kept wiping it off with his dirty finger nails that reeked of smoke .I finally had enough and said please stop and proceeded to pay 15$ for that manicure. Worst experience of my life. Save yourself your money and dignity and go down the street to another place. HORRIBLE. read more

Rude and confrontational. My Daughter and I visited. I've been here at least 4x's for my regular manicure and shellac. The owner (male) is a little aggressive when doing nails so I pass on him. My daughter decided on tips and she wanted them short. He did terribly. They were so wide and when we expressed we wanted them reshaped he immediately became offended. Really?? They aren't free. The location of this nail salon and spa is ideal. Once I walked in I was greeted with open arms!! The staff was super friendly and I was offered a water while I waited to get a pedicure. The decor and color scene is so nice and peaceful. The massage chairs are very comfortable and they give such a good massage! The girl who did my pedicure was super nice and she made me feel very relaxed. This will be my new pedicure spot! I complete recommend this nail salon to anyone!! Apparently her daughter works there and her grandson was there Alex. He was adorable and the lady basically entertaining him was very nice. After my nails were polished I was also confused because the nail tech didn't send me to the drying station or turn the fan on for my nails to dry.
