This was my first time in Bamboo nails due to my regular nail tech left my previous salon. The first impression that I received was that the nail salon was decorated very nice and had an upscale appearance. The next biggest impression that I received was that they weren't very warm and friendly as I'm accustomed to. I am a customer service manager, so Customer Service is Extremely Important to me! They had me select my color and then a sweet young girl came to start my manicure. Her name was Tammy. I could tell she didn't have a lot of experience but nice goes a long way. Since, I was getting a more complicated gel manicure Tammy just prepped me for the next person to polish and do the gel. So, the nail tech see here appears to be Kim! She finished off my gel nail manicure. I must say that I was very impressed by her work! Their prices are a little more expensive here. I can't speak to the quality of the product just yet. However, I will keep you posted! The reason for 3 out of 5 stars is due to quality of customer service that has room for improvement. This was my first visit and I am willing to return for great quality nail work but I'd like to get what I'm paying for all the way around! The two stars here are for the niceness of the girl that has done my nails and for my pedicure. Now, the manicure. I got the SNS manicure and the first time after 2 days it was chipping. I called and went back and the same girl re-did most of my nails (only the chipped ones). Now, 3 days later, every single one of them has cracked or chipped. I'm not particularly hard on my nails and have always done gel with no problem. I don't know if it's just the SNS which they swore was better than gel or if it was the girl that did them. Either way, I won't be going back here and I won't be getting SNS anymore. Also, the cash only tip policy is ridiculous. I get that you'd prefer cash so you aren't taxed on it but OCCASIONALLY I don't have it on me. And I don't want to be charged a $2 ATM fee every time. read more

Unless Hahn is there, I will probably never get another pedicure at Bamboo again. My last visit was a nightmare from start to finish. None of the new girls speak English at all, so any attempt to ask questions or talk about what you're looking for is met with blank stares and no understanding/action. Several patrons were getting frustrated with this lack of communication, as was I, and the owner was often too busy to be in the pedi room to help/translate. I really wish they had a better retention of their staff, or maybe I just caught it on their day off. Either way, Hahn's availablity will be my requirement moving forward. read more

My most recent experience was not good. I think the person who helped me was the owner or manager. She was very aggressive with my eyebrow wax. My skin burned all day and the next day there were red marks. That's never happened to me before with waxing. She took way more hair than she should have. I have been before and not had an issue with the wax job but after this I won't go back. They also insist you pay cash only to tip and get an attitude if you don't have cash. Noon took me to heaven with the deluxe pedicure. Such a great getaway from the daily grind! The place is super clean and they use disposable liners on the foot baths which always gives me peace of mind. Noon was pleasant and professional and very hard working! I was long overdue for a pedicure, I came in with crusty Neanderthal feet and left with glowing feet and decorated toes. Nothing makes me happier! I was massaged, sugar scrubbed, paraffin wax dipped, I mean, IT WAS DELUXE! It lasted over 2 hours and was only $40. Totally worth the price! I love this place! read more

Came here after work for the first time with no appointment and was seen pretty quickly, which I appreciate --however the SNS manicure I got was awful. It's super patchy and one of the nails has a line down the middle of it. The technician was very rough with my nails and even used his own finger nail to push my cuticles back (yuck!). This place is very close to my house so I wanted to like it, but unfortunately my nails look awful... I will not be coming here again. read more

I have been coming here every 2-4 weeks for a while but I won't be returning after my visit today. The woman that works to the far right (I think she may be the manager) has really ruined it for me. I've had not the best experiences with her in the past, as she is really rough and my hands always hurt when I leave after she does them. She asked about the length of my acrylics and I said a little shorter than what she was showing, and she went all the way to the length of my natural nail and cut it before I could say anything. I stopped her and said that was way too short and figured she would put a new tip on since she had only cut the one, but she then continued to cut the rest longer and leave the one obviously short nail (right pointer finger in photo). I wasn't planning leaving a review like this until I looked at hands after it was all done and had broken bleeding skin around my nails. I've had other women there do my nails who are much more careful and don't leave my hands hurting and bleeding. This was my first time not leaving a tip and I will never come back now. 2 stars for past pleasant experiences I've had but today was a nightmare. read more

Definitely a great nail salon. Ambience was very relaxing and I enjoyed the privacy of getting a pedicure. The layout of salon made me very comfortable and at ease. The salon's entrance has a barrier which blocks off the rest of the place which gives me that privacy. That way people who are waiting won't be staring. I would not recommend this place, I felt very uncomfortable. Once I walked into in a lady (was wearing a blue tight dress ) might be the person that runs the place, had a very poor attitude. And was also very tuff when getting my nails done. At first I wasn't very sure on what nail to get done, so I asked some questions on what they can do close to what I wanted, the lady said had said "you would have to pick a color" so I went to see if they had the closest color . I had pick a different color. They lady sat me down and was being very rude and judging how long I wanted the nails and said "that's too long" and gave me an ugly look. Not only that I didn't mind the judgment but as I told her maybe a little bit more she had also gave me an ugly look and I said yeah that's fine thank you. She continue to do my nails and she was doing the dipping powder she had did the job sloppy ( as you can see in the pictures). I had went to this nail place about 3 weeks ago. Place was clean. Ladies are nice. They did a good job on my gel manicure. I did get my lip waxed but they just slapped the wax on and ripped it off. They should be more gentle. Some of the hair did not even get waxed off. I would do my nails again but will pass on the waxing for next time. read more

I have been going to Bamboo Nails for about a year now, and they are by far the best nail salon that I've been to. I usually get my nails done by the manager, Kim, and she is the best! My nails have never broken and have never lifted. I once went almost 3 months without getting a fill or anything and they were still on when I went back; the nail polish wasn't even chipped (I get gel polish)! Not to mention that no matter what nail design I want her to do, she does it and does it very well! Even though I almost always go to Kim, I have got my nails done by some of the other staff and they are all really good too, and everyone that works there is super nice! The salon itself is beautiful, it's a nice and peaceful environment, and very well sanitized. I am very sad, and very upset with how I was treated here. I'm also not one to complain... but i want to save some of you from this place and the way the Woman treats her customers. While my nails were being done, the woman would hover obviously seeing something is wrong, and what is not going as planned. Once I finished, you could see that no one was happy with the results, but they still proceeded to charge me 75 dollars. I am bad with face to face confrontation, so the moment I walked out I called and said I was unhappy with the results, and asked if they can be fixed. I stated I paid 75 dollars, and I can send her the photos of the expected vs received. And she said "We don't know how to do what you want"... I then said, then why did you guys tell me you can, and then charge me for what you couldn't do. She refused to fix them.. and basically told me I was SOL... I am so angry and sad because I finally wanted to pamper myself for the first time... Where do I begin?! Best nail salon ever! I have been going for over a year now. I always leave happy. Andy is an SNS Master! He truly cares about his work and is always patient and helps me figure out what I want (haha sometimes I can be difficult and change my mind a lot). Besides that, Kim, the owner, is great as well as the receptionist, Lena. They know me by name and I always feel comfortable and welcomed at Bamboo Nails. I have had the pleasure of getting to know all of them a bit and they are always friendly and professional. Lena sometimes gives me suggestions and helps with my color choices too. I always schedule with Andy because he has developed a friendship with me and knows exactly what my nails need. They also give amazing pedicures and always have my favorite Food Network shows playing! Definitely highly recommend this salon for any of your nail needs, especially SNS with Andy! I added photos of my most recent manicure from today, how long my natural nails have grown out with SNS, and some previous manicures by Andy! I've been going to Bamboo Nails for the past 6 months. They're very welcoming and professional. I get SNS powder manicure and I haven't been disappointed. They have various pedicures packages, the signature pedicure is amazing!! The key to this shop is communication, the service doesn't begin until they are aware of your requests. I never feel pressured about buying additional services. I love the fact that even as regular customer, if I present a coupon that is valid and on the right day (Mon-Thurs) it is honored. I love this place and recently (w/in the past 6 months ) I switched from acrylic to gel and let me just say I wished I would've done it sooner!! Here is what I've noticed: 1. The gel grows out with my nails .. in other words when the corners of my natural nail starts to curl the gel adheres to it so NO LIFTING !! 2. I have gone up to 4 weeks between fills w/no breaking (however I try and go every 3 weeks) or chipping! 3. The gel shine generally last 3 weeks for me! (I wear gloves when I clean) 4. The color selection is unlimited .. I used to wear only pink and white acrylic 5. The price comparison to other places maybe a lil higher ($5??) and it's worth it because other places are not using the same quality product ( I've tried multiple places cuz I'm frugal!) I first visited this salon 3 months ago. I was very pleased with the service and end result. I returned the following month and was very disappointed. The owner, Kim, provided my service. She was constantly on the phone or speaking in her language to the staff. I don't think she even said hello to me. When I booked the appointment, I was told the charge would be $50. However, I was charged $55 because she had to "do more work". I purchased a gift card for a brow wax advertised on the website for $12, but was charged $15 as the "website is incorrect and needs to be updated". To this date, the website still reflects $12 for a brow wax. I decided to give them one more chance yesterday. My appointment was scheduled for 2:00 pm: I was still waiting at 2:30 pm. I was told the technician would be another 10 minutes making my appointment 40 minutes late. I am a 24/7 caregiver and have to find help when I leave the house. I don't have time to wait when I have scheduled an appointment. Therefore, I left without getting my nails done! Since I was dissatisfied 2 out of three visits, I will not go back. read more
