When I'm in need of some late night eats, this is the place to be. Don't let the neighborhood spook you because that's usually where the best food is (i.e. Chevere's down the street). Way tastier than what you would get at other fast food establishments, this place gives you the classics: Salchipapas, Empanadas, Cuban sandwiches, shakes, and more. This is not the first time I've had to wait more than necessary time for a shake and some salchipapas. I've never complained about those times, but when they made me wait for 30 minutes just for FIVE CANS OF COKE! That's when you know the service is horrible! I really hope that it's just the Patacon that I had and maybe the other stuff they make is better. Banana King is loved around the North Jersey area by the masses. I am not crazy about fruit shakes but everybody flocks down for the fruit shakes and fall in love but I mostly come here for their empanadas. If you like fruit shakes and hispanic appetizers this place is a must. Cool thing is don't matter what time you come they're open :) read more

The staff here is rude, I got ignored when I walked in and the girl behind the counter gave me an attitude, the food here is greasy and tastes like old oil no flavor what so ever and there's a huge trash can in the middle of the kitchen not sanitary at all read more

Great food when you come out of the bar or club late night. Empanadas are on point not sure if its the liquor I drank before eating them that made them good thou. THE PINCHOS are the S#!T only con is that they take 25mins to make. Place is jam packed with alot of thug types late night so if you Skurred stay away.. Spelled Banana King, The one in Paterson,NJ on the corner of Madison ave and 21st ave is a Great place to go to & conveniently open around the clock, super clean and great"real fast food" vs McDonalds, wendys etc.... Salchipapa is a great beginners pick if you haven't tried anything from here or the sandwiches. Shakes are really good w/ options to add protein, etc for post workout shake you can get here very reasonable prices. The other down on 21st has a small parking lot but much easier parking to find at that one than they one on Madison ave. read more

I eat here almost every week. The sandwiches and shakes are good but sometimes you need to wait a long time for your order. Some of the staff is friendly others aren't so much . I find that when there's no place to sit the drivers shouldn't be taking up a table to themselves and making comments about customers . This place is cheap at cheap quality and liars!! Yesterday I stopped by to get a sandwich with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and eggs. I paid what they told me to. I waited there for about 15 min. Let me tell you the place was not as busy at that time, I don't know why they took 15 min!! I left with my sandwich and when I opened it in my car while I was driving, guess what? no cheese, no onions, no tomato!! Just eggs and a little bit of lettuce. Their shakes are awesome. Small spot, good quick food, has seating available. You order your food and can take it to go or eat it there.

Banana King is disgusting and they have gotten greedy over the years. They have jacked up prices for flavorless food.
