They serve Big Dipper ice cream, which is the best CT distributor in my opinion. Banana's offers some flavors that you can't even get directly from Big Dipper. Creative sundaes, including the (seasonal) apple pie one (pictured). One of my favorite features is a list of all of their flavors and a list of potential allergens in them. Very helpful for someone like me who has multiple allergies.

Love this place, the staff is always attentive, and the ice cream is delicious. Still good even after change of ownership.

I find that most bakeries drown their flavors in sugar, glazes, and frosting, while the pastries offered at Le Banh Patisserie deliver the perfect balance of taste and texture without being cloyingly sweet. If you are a fan of crossaints, you owe it to yourself to give these a try - they are golden and flaky on the outside with an incredibly buttery and airy center, and baked to perfection. Whether you choose the almond, chocolate, or classic butter, I guarantee you won't be disappointed, and will likely feel as if you just stepped out of a Parisian café. The scones are equally delightful with a crisp exterior while remaining soft and moist in the middle, and abounding in flavor. Also, be sure to grab a Doodle cookie (or two) before you go, and give the Vietnamese coffee a try - you'll be glad you did. Above all else, the owner/baker is one of the friendliest and most personable people you are likely to meet, and I could have spent the entire afternoon talking with her. After complimenting her on the quality of her treats and contemplating the lack of decent bakeries in the area, she was generous enough to recommend other establishments which she thought would be worth trying. In addition, after telling her I would love to possess her skill, she encouraged me to give it a try and even gave me a few resources with which to begin my baking journey. Overall, I can highly recommend this hidden gem as perhaps the finest confectionary I have ever had the good fortune to stumble across, and would honestly suggest to anyone that they would be doing themselves an incredible disservice by failing to stop in one afternoon and give Le Banh Patisserie a try

Everything we tried was so phenomenal that we came and waited in line for 20+ minutes the following day. He even remembered us! It's a small shop but they have a few tables so if you can get a table, it'd be a comfortable place to sit and enjoy. Cream biscuit- simple and perfect. We were all fighting over this one. If you ask he'll give you jam and butter too. Chive and cheddar biscuit- deliciously cheesy and a real winner. Chubby squirrel- if you like fruit filled coffee cake, you'll be a fan of this one! It wasn't my favorite. Banana crumble cake- this was a definite favorite! The cake wasn't too sweet and the crumb added a nice sweetness. Apple tart- this was well received by our group! I liked it. All in all, this bakery is amazing! I wish I could eat the banana crumble cake for breakfast every morning.

The owner/baker is a one-man show and he is so so nice and friendly! The clothbound cheddar & chive biscuit was divine, it was flakey and buttery and the perfect amount of cheesy. I came back the next day for a second one! The roasted butternut crumble muffin had all the cozy fall flavors, not too sweet. Not a ton of drink options here, but just the basics, brewed hot coffee and a hot tea. Arrive early, as items can sell out, but you can't go wrong with anything he has available!

I sampled one flavor that I thought was decent, but I decided to order the Red Velvet Cake flavor which looked good and tasty. I liked the Red Velvet Cake flavor. It was a bit of a cheat code in the best possible way. I mean -- combine ice cream and one of the best cakes, and you're ahead of the game. The waffle cone was good too, but it had a big hole in the bottom. Luckily, I noticed Dixie cups on the counter. So I just placed the cup under the cone. Service was pleasant and efficient. Sundae Afternoon was a good ice cream shop and is worth visiting. I wouldn't say it's with the top tier CT places though. Four Stars

Upon arriving, the ladies serving you were the sweetest. Offering us a taste of the ice creams, announcing their specials and pointing out pre-made frozen treats in a separate freezer across from the main counter. The main counter has all the hard ice creams on display. They have hard ice creams from The Ice Cream Club, a company from Florida. This is my first time trying this ice cream and different the other ice cream shops in the area who serve Giffords Ice Cream, Praline's Ice Cream, etc. They have a few dairy-free options too. I got two scoops of the Stellar Coffee flavor. The ice cream was light, rich coffee flavor with a thick fudge swirl and a generous amount of mini dark chocolate coffee cups. My husband tried the Strawberry Shortcake Bomb, their take of the Good Humor bar. There was strawberry ice cream in the center, wrapped in vanilla, and rolled in the strawberry shortcakes pieces. They had other fun flavors and treats like a Neil's Donut Ice Cream Sandwich (would love to try this next). Sundae Afternoon is in a great area that we pass by often. It's next to a Subway and across the street from the Yalesville Veterinary Hospital. They have dog friendly ice cream treats too. For a small shop, it's very open. The dining area is spacious, walls painted in a fun, bright orange color. Can't wait to see more of Sundae Afternoon and what they have in store when the weather heats up!
