On our way back to KC, we stopped for a to-go order at 8pm. We ordered three adult pulled pork, one kid chicken, and a kid pulled pork. One pulled pork was supposed to have slaw on it (Carolina style, I believe)- it didn't, but I sure paid for it. The pork was fine, but flavorless. The orders with fries screamed for salt, as did the okra. The okra has some potential to be good, but needs seasoning. The kids chicken isn't even worth mentioning. In the words of my daughter, it was drier than a booger. The kids pork is served on a piece of toast, halved. This was a tiny portion of dried out meat on drier toast. Overall, the best part of the meal was the good laugh we had over similes describing the food we choked down for $52. read more

The food was ok. The tables could have been cleaned better. The salt shaker was clogged completely closed. We got one from another table and it was clogged also. We brought this to the attention of our server, and she said, yeah, we have a problem with that. Not, can get you one that releases salt. We had four adults and a toddler, she didn't ask if we needed a high chair, we ordered drinks then food. I had the catfish platter. Outside of fish was done, but raw on middle and bottom. I called her attention to it and she asked if I wanted more fish or something else. No apology,, just kinda bored. I had fish replaced, and waited. The rest of food was good, and store was kinda empty so no reason for her not to check on our drinks. My husband got the high chair, he had to go to bar to ask for another drink. My favorite bbq spot!!! Okay, so I lived in St. Louis and then moved to Austin, Texas recently. While there is good bbq in both cities (great bbq, phenomenal bbq) one of my favorite spots is still Bandanas. Visiting my parents this week in Cape it was the first time I'd had Bandanas from this location - we ordered through DoorDash. And it was so effing fantastic! We got ribs, pulled pork, beans, and potato salad. My absolute favorite are the ribs. They are competition style with a little big of pull but still tender and seasoned perfectly with a bit of sweet and a bit of smoke. Bandanas is not "a production" like some bbq places. You can be in and out in minutes with great bbq for a decent price. read more

Came here after I discovered sugarfire was closed. Spent $40 on mediocre barbecue for my 9yo and I. Waitresses more interested in talking than serving customers. Terrible eat in experience/environment. Guess it's ok if you're craving barbecue and you get it to go, but I won't be back any time soon. read more

Food and service were great. The smoked turkey is my favorite. Fresh smoked meat everyday and they don't drench it in sauce! The sauces on the table are top notch and the garlic bread that comes with the meals is TO DIE FOR. The price you pay given the large quantities is a great deal. Perfect for families. The bbq here is amazing. Beef, chicken, or pork are all super good. You get plenty of food for a fair price which is great. The lunch portion of meat is plenty for one person! You also get 2 sides and Texas toast so it definitely fills you up. The funnel cake bites are also amazing, we get them everytime! read more

My mother and I ordered the same pork platter. Half way into my food I pulled a 3 inch piece of plastic out of my mouth that was in the meat. Few hours later my mom got very sick and a little bit later on I got sick I believe we both had food poisoning from the pork. read more

Excellent hickory smoked bar-b-que and a tasty variety of sauces. One of us had the pulled pork and the other had the ribs. Both were very good--the ribs were the meatiest we've had in the area. For sides, we had bar-b-que beans, french fries, green beans and sweet potato fries--everything came out hot and nothing was overly seasoned or too salty. The staff was very friendly and efficient as well.
