My fiance and I rode past on several occasions during the day when they were closed and from the road, it looked like a fun restaurant to try. We finally had dinner here tonight and were delighted with the offerings. Their menu had a lot of choices (see pics). We had the spicy wings ($140 pesos) as an appetizer, which were really good. Not too puny like some of the restaurant in the states, but not massive like the ones you get in Buffalo, NY. I ordered the classic burger which was good, but nothing extraordinary ($60) and he ordered the Carne asada burrito ($180), which was huge and my lil' piggy ate every morsel! Our meals didn't come with any sides. For La Paz, the food was priced a bit higher than most places we've been to. Perhaps it's because it's close to a couple of marinas filled with mostly gringos (American and Canadian)? Either way, we'll be back.

Nice setting across from the marina. I ordered the chimichanga w/pork it was very flavorful crunchy on the outside tender inside. Came with rice and beans as well. My wife had grilled shrimp done just right with that smoked flavor. Usually has limes with everything but said it was good with out them. Came with toasted bread and steamed veggies. The service was okay but could have been a little more attentive. The decor inside is cool, the restrooms clean. The grill is literally inside the hood behind the grill of a 70 Chevy pickup truck.

A view from a seat inside. Nice place.

I lived on Antonio Navarro for a while and am still in the neighbourhood. I'm not really a restaurant sort of guy but I drop in sometimes when passing. The people are always very nice. The atmosphere is unique, so don't plan to eat and run. Take time to enjoy it. Prices are about average. Worth a visit IMO.

If you like the perfect burger - then you have found the place. They have all variations and for almost nothing. On top of that they served the best margaritas I have tasted in Baja California Sur. And check their merchandise- it's cool.

The food was good the waiters were nice just a little dark but I do recommend the BBQ ribs

Bandido's classic burger is the best!! It's a "must have" here at La Paz. Delicious 1/4 lb of sirloin burger...yummy.

Come after dark or the flies will annoy and put on mosquito spray. Otherwise, great food. I come here when I'm craving ribs.

They did not skimp on which ones they picked and always put their best foot forward. The highlight of these dinners was the El Mequite. I have not normally associated Mexican dining with great beef, but this place rivals any place I've been (e.g. Manny's in MN, etc.). And, by USA standards, it is very very reasonably priced. We had drinks and the shrimp appetizer to start off with. One platter was good for our party of five. We are all "retirement age" but peppy enough to go after game fish in the Sea of Cortez, so we carry an appetite. The shrimp were plump and not overcooked at all. They were served in a rich sauce as shown in the photo. Yum! We then went on to the main course, which was two platters of Chateaubriand. Each platter is meant for two people, but locals told us that the dual platters would easily serve the five of us. They were right! The pounds of center cut tenderloin and the accompanying vegetables and baked potatoes were more than enough for us after the appetizer and a couple drinks. It was delicious and we ate to discomfort. The dessert was flan and this was tasty and cooked fresh on premises that day. Great stuff! Service was perfectly attentive and, although there is not a lot of English spoken here, there is enough that us gringos were able to easily communicate what we wanted. When you are in LaPaz, this is the place if you are a meat eater!

It's a beautiful setting, their attention to detail is readily apparent. Modern and masculine with just enough rustic features to remind you they're cooking meat over flames, you immediately know that you're in for a treat. We had bone marrow served with refried beans (Who knew this was a killer combo?!?), Caesar salad (fresh and traditional), fish tacos (savory and snappy with zest), elote (maybe the highlight of the night, perfectly prepared tender corn oozing with flavor), whole snapper roasted over mesquite, rib eye (perfect medium rare with crispy rendered fat)...oh man...what a treat! Probably my 6th time here over the last decade and they've always been good. They now might be at their peak. It's expensive, likely one of the most costly meals you'll have in La Paz - we ordered wines, drinks, multiple apps, entrees and desserts - and spent around $100 US each for a dinner that would cost twice as much stateside. If you like fine dining, this place is an absolute must.
