    Chateubriand

One of my favorite places in La Paz. Have to come here every visit (a few times a year). Everything is delicious. Great portion, good price, very friendly staff.

This place is a little gem in La Paz. The service is great they greet you the second you walk in. Alejando was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. The BBQ ribs were delicious very tender. The meat fell of the bone. The Alexander burger was huge and came with fries or salad. I would definitely come back.

Our amazing host, Alejandro and our group

This is the absolute, hands down, best food in La Paz. If you like melt-in-your-mouth steak, you must try the Chateaubriand! And I'm not sure what they put in their mushroom gravy, but I'm fairly confident it has some kind of unicorn magic included, because it is fantastic! We visited in April and dreamt about their food for 6 months before we could get back to La Paz. We have been multiple times since being back down in the Baja and every time we our eyes glisten, mouths water and we leave full and satisfied... I wish I could work there just to smell their food daily, it's that good! And if Alejandro is your host, be sure to take advantage of his knowledge of Mezcal for the perfect pairing with his custom concoctions! Thank you for the memorable experience and we'll be sure to be joining you again very soon!

Tequila shots! Good but more expensive than our meal

They have good burgers but my husband didn't think the steak was anything special. The service was good but the price for tequila shots were high

    I had the Filet

Place was delicious. The meat here is really cooked to perfection. I enjoyed everything that I tried. Good portions and priced correctly. Next time I'm gonna have to est a hamburger they look amazing.

The meat is the star here, and the asadero knows what he's doing. Fun place to come with a group and get your beef on.

Quite possibly the best grilled fillet I've ever had and huge portion! My wife had the 4 cheese burger and said she loved it too.

Review Highlights - El Mezquite Grill

One of the best places to be a carnivore in the entire city and the "Mushroom Gravy" is so good I order one to go as a rule.

It's a beautiful setting, their attention to detail is readily apparent. Modern and masculine with just enough rustic features to remind you they're cooking meat over flames, you immediately know that you're in for a treat. We had bone marrow served with refried beans (Who knew this was a killer combo?!?), Caesar salad (fresh and traditional), fish tacos (savory and snappy with zest), elote (maybe the highlight of the night, perfectly prepared tender corn oozing with flavor), whole snapper roasted over mesquite, rib eye (perfect medium rare with crispy rendered fat)...oh man...what a treat! Probably my 6th time here over the last decade and they've always been good. They now might be at their peak. It's expensive, likely one of the most costly meals you'll have in La Paz - we ordered wines, drinks, multiple apps, entrees and desserts - and spent around $100 US each for a dinner that would cost twice as much stateside. If you like fine dining, this place is an absolute must.
