Really good mango margaritas!! The food was so so. It wasn't mind blowing but it was quick and all the waiters are very nice. I'm not sure if we would come back to eat but at night it looked pretty packed so maybe we'll stop by to check out the bar scene. The view is nice as you're directly across the street from the ocean but on a hot summer's day, even in the shade it's still pretty miserable bc the whole place is outdoors. We were sweating and wish there had been more fans on us but it was a very fast meal. Super sweet staff, it's always helpful to know a few words of Spanish (of course you really should since you're in Mexico & you better know at least a few simple sentences!!) but even so the waiter knew some English as well.

    Tailhunter-- Delicioso!

This place was recommended to us and boy did we appreciate it! Jill and Jonathan are sweethearts. They make you feel welcome right away. The food is phenomenal! The fish tacos were so good be went back the next night for more! Great live music on the second night. If you're in La Paz you don't want to miss this gem!

Keep in mind, the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays (like most restaurants in the area). Our first experience at La Paz was enhanced by Tailhunter's owner, Jonathan. Free tequila shots on our first night in La Paz - what a grand welcome! It felt like we were welcomed in a family environment at Tailhunter's! We enjoyed the live country music. Food was tasty! We had yellowtail sashimi and our server recommended tacos with fish Al mojo de ajo. The seafood was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Our margaritas and micheladas were inundated with plenty of alcohol. We had such a great time with Jonathan as our host. My husband and nephew also had fishing trips reserved with Jonathan's company and they caught 12+ species of fish! Jonathan's crew was so hard working packing the gear and their lunches/breakfasts. His crew made sure my family had a great time. I'm looking forward to the next time we're here. We are going to have his crew cook the fish they caught for us. Will save money to book next year's trip. Jonathan will set up our hotel accommodations, fishing trips, etc. thanks for an amazing time!

It would get a 5 but the food service is sloooooowwwwwww. Fun spot, but get here at least 1.5 hours before you really want to start eating.

This was a good restaurant. The food was good. Large portions and tasty. A variety of Mexican, seafood and hamburgers. Service was good. The drinks were good but not strong. The really great thing about this place is the view. Come at sunset and drink it in. Unfortunately it has to compete with the many televisions in the place. I would have preferred there abscene.

OSKAR!!! Best server EVER!!! Tailhunter is a good place to go to get just regular Mexican food and watch American football. We came here for dinner on my first night in La Paz. There are a lot of stairs to get up to the bar, but the decor is fun. My carne asada tacos were delightful. I did wish they came with more beans and rice, though. On a second visit, I got a burger that had teriyaki sauce on it. I gobbled up half of it with fries. (I was super hungry). The view from the top deck is great. Very chill place to have food and drinks. Thank you for your hospitality, Oskar.

Jonathan's amazing Poke Bowl! And when it's your fresh catch, it's so gratifying!

With the unbelievable vista over looking the Malecon in La Paz, Tailhunter never disappoints! If you're a family who is ready to enjoy your fresh caught fish, or simply a passer by you NEED to treat yourself to a fun and casual experience here! What they can do with fish that was swimming that very morning is unbelievable! Mexican meets a bit of Hawaii here! Even if you don't like fish, there's plenty of options, from burgers to tacos, and beyond! DO NOT FORGET THE FLAN!! Friendly staff, and information on La Paz is available always! Plenty of sports on TV's spread around for the sports addicts like myself too! (If you're interested!) Don't like sports, watch the AMAZING sunsets from the balcony! Can't wait to get back next year!!

Fresh Seafood and a great place to watch the games. My favorite is the fish and chips. Will be back for sure.

I have no idea what these guys are doing and I don't think they do either. Big meh on the food and a big WTF on the service.

Looking at old photos of the exterior, it's no wonder we've passed this place up every time we've driven through. It was around evening time when we noticed their business sign -bright and vivid. We were familiar with the restaurant in Cabo so we knew the seafood would be good. We had to stop by as we were too starve to wait. We were greeted, seated and given menus immediately. A complimentary tea cup size fish broth arrived at our table; it was bland, but hot. I ordered my usual mixto civeche as my partner with her usual clams. Our food and drinks arrived in no time. While she had no complaints, unfortunately, my ceviche was not what I had expected. I figured since I liked the Toro Guero in Cabo so much, La Paz location would not disappoint. My mixto ceviche was dry and was missing seasoning. It was missing a "kick." Nonetheless, I lemoned it up and finished the entire dish without issues. Like I said, I was hungry. We returned today before our flight back home to San Diego. I wanted to try something new. The shrimp burrito was ok. Not alot of shrimp, too mushy due to guacamole and the tortilla fell apart....to heavy and wet. I used a fork to finish the rest. Staff members are attentive. I would return again and maybe try sometime different

We had bone marrow served with refried beans (Who knew this was a killer combo?!?), Caesar salad (fresh and traditional), fish tacos (savory and snappy with zest), elote (maybe the highlight of the night, perfectly prepared tender corn oozing with flavor), whole snapper roasted over mesquite, rib eye (perfect medium rare with crispy rendered fat)...oh man...what a treat!
