Stopped in with our kids to grab dinner on our way home. The restaurant was loud but the atmosphere (especially sans kids) was fun, upbeat, and even with little kids we could carry conversation. Our server was lovely and super attentive. We got margaritas: strawberry and house both on the rocks. They were great! My husband ordered a chimichanga and I have a trio of tacos. The kids had sliders and chicken nuggets. The nuggets were their favorite. They both ordered applesauce but the restaurant doesn't have spoons yet and they were out of plastic spoons. No biggie for us (we learned that forks do applesauce pretty well!) Dinner took a turn when we had a very, very large bug join us at the table. My husband killed it but it, in turn, killed our appetite. My kids who spotted it first, begged to leave, but we told them we should finish dinner. They then found another much smaller bug and at that point refused to sit down because they were convinced they were feeling bugs crawling on them (they weren't, but I also couldn't blame them). We had mostly finished so we headed out quickly. We got home and unfortunately the cherry on top of the experience: both got sick (we didn't eat lunch after a busy kids sports day), so it was obvious this was the source. His dish had chicken and steak and I had a chicken and a steak taco, so not sure exactly the overlap. We were super disappointed we have fond memories of Banditos in Baltimore from when we lived downtown. Would like to add the manager and server both were extremely attentive, apologetic and insistent that they discount our meal. I stopped by Banditos Bar right after getting off the road, starving and looking for something quick. Tacos felt like the obvious choice. I was able to sit at the bar immediately. I ordered the mix-and-match tacos (Birria and Bang Bang Shrimp), which came with two sides. I chose the the Dito Caesar salad and Tajín waffle fries. The Birria taco was good, though the meat could've been a bit more tender. The Bang Bang Shrimp taco surprised me. The sauce was more sweet than spicy, it was missing that spicy "kick" that Im use to. You know the kick that Bonefish has went their Bang Bang Shrimp. However it was still tasty overall. The Dito Caesar salad, unfortunately, didn't hit the mark. It had plenty of dressing but somehow lacked flavor. Honestly tasted like plain iceberg lettuce. On the bright side, the Tajín waffle fries were solid, with a really nice crunch. Overall, it was a decent experience. I'd come back more for the drinks and atmosphere than the food. read more

Banditos was an unplanned meal after a long drive. While the service was passable, the meal itself was average at best. Options were limited and I went for the tacos. Birria was basic and lacking flavor, the fish taco was puny. These were street size I suppose, and for an additional $15 you can make it a meal with rice and beans (refried or black, no substitution) with 2 tacos. Chips and salsa are an extra charge, noting chips are not bottomless. Queso fundido is watery. I did enjoy my Paloma; refreshing however portion is about 4oz, mostly ice. They also have like community tables if you don't want to wait. We got free chips and salsa to start off with, which is honestly a less common practice now in restaurant business. The salsa was BOMB and SPICY! We ordered tacos. My girlfriend like her chicken rings tacos. I had a Rus & Gus (my favorite) and a fish taco (which I would skip no flavor at all). My daughter and I were in town so we ordered dinner to go . I got chicken enchiladas and she got tacos. We both really enjoyed our dinners . I wasn't used to the sauce on my enchiladas but it was fantastic and now I'm craving it. We also both ordered tre leche cake for dessert which was also fantastic. One note is that my daughter ordered salsa but didn't receive any chips . Not sure if that was something she was supposed to ask for but just make sure you ask for chips. We arrived a bit after happy hour (sad face), but it didn't stop us from totally indulging! The restaurant was pretty chill. It was early evening on a weekday, so it wasn't very crowded. Or waitress was really nice. She gave us pointers on what was good & what to try. We stayed with the mango margaritas, which were good. Sweet and strong. But that spicy jalapeño margarita was THE BOMB!!! We actually tried that flavor twice! It was refreshing, with complementing flavors of lime and Tajin. That was one of the most delicious margaritas I've actually ever had. We had the chips and guacamole for apps. The chips are house made and so dang GOOD! Crunchy with underlying flavors of lime & lightly seasoned with Tajin. The guacamole was fresh, cool, and tasty. We tried different tacos to see which ones we liked. My favorites were: the blackened shrimp, the Rus & Gus (deep fried shrimp, cheese, pico, grilled onions and sauce), and the chorizo. I came back a week later for and early dinner and had a TIME! Everything was just as delicious as the first trip, from the spicy margarita to the chips and guac to the tacos! The chips were so fresh that the ones I took home were still delicious the next day! We had to send back one plate as the food was cold. Everything else was luke warm at best and it wasn't worth the bother of sending it back as we didn't want to remember the night as the night we sent everything back - we were celebrating a birthday. One other side note - I was a bartender for decades so I tip but although the menu say they automatically add the tip for parties of 6 or more, they automatically added it to our bill for four people and did not say anything about it and when given the tablet to sign, the first thing it asked was to add a tip - so if you hadn't paid attention, you could pay the tip twice. They should say they automatically add the tip to all bills. This is bad form. read more

Brought it to her attention she took it to fix it came back & said I messed up your drink was not happy hr prices & I can't change the price. Banditos excels at providing a lively club-like environment while serving up refined Mexican 'street food'. Judging primarily on my food experience here, this place leaves much to be desired. If you're coming here with friends, I'd recommend getting their Tres Amigos, consisting of tortilla chips with salsa, queso, and guacamole. The tortilla chips are homemade - seasoned with chili powder, lime, and salt. Although the chips are a bit interesting with the addition of chili powder, they were slightly stale despite being deep fried. I would still recommend this appetizer solely for the guacamole and queso dip though. Plenty to go around while enjoying company. As an entrée, I ordered the Steak and Elote burrito. Though it's exactly what it advertised, it was boring to eat. The meat could've been seasoned more, with the raw cold corn stealing the whole flavor profile. By all means the burrito wasn't bad, but it wasn't outstanding either. Given the options of Mexican food in Maryland, this burrito is still a pass. I understand that most people come here for the tacos but if you're a burrito person, I would hope the burritos be as good as the tacos. Came here for lunch/brunch on Sunday. I want to start off by saying most of my score is purely for aesthetics and the drinks! I keep forgetting to snap interior pics (rookie move), but the inside is perfect I mean literally just that is worth a trip. We sat at a table on the patio and we had perfect weather! The drinks were great and refreshing and quick. They had pineapples at the bar and I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get a drink in a pineapple, but tis life! The food was OK. Just ok. The chips and queso was the best part of lunch and the chips were fresh and crisp with a fun seasoning on them. I ordered three tacos one avocado, a cheeseburger and a CBR. The cheeseburger one seemed like it was going to be fire based on the menu, but I took one bite and didn't look back. The other two were great. My son seemed to enjoy his chicken tenders, but I wish they had fries because what kid doesn't love fries. But I get it, lol! But again worth it for the drinks and the patio. read more

I went to this location on a Tuesday evening. Much smaller than the Towson location. I've been numerous times, tonight it was slammed. There was also live music, so we sat outside. There's a smaller bar inside as well and booth seating. The glass garage doors were down, which was nice. This allowed separation from the live music so more chatting could happen. Service was great and our server was very friendly. I ordered my usual siracha toady tacos (so good!) Their tacos selection is extensive and they don't disappoint. This particular taco is yummy though, so didn't mis it up tonight. Bandicoots as a whole, doesn't provide complimentary chips and salsa. That's why I did not give a five star review. I'm sure there are reasons, but a staple of a Mexican restaurant is starting customers with chips and salsa. I always add this as a starter, but this time.. did not. Perhaps at some point chips/salsa as a standard starter will be reconsidered by the brand. read more

UPDATE. I had a terrible experience at your white marsh location. I arrived while happy hour was still happening on a Wednesday evening. I ordered a beer that on draft (Luchador Lager). My first complaint is the glass was warm and appeared to have just come out of the dishwasher. Secondly, the actual beer was room temperature and disgusting. I asked about it and the bartender tells me "oh really? We just got that fixed". She then tells another employee who doesn't seem to care at all. She then asks if she wants me to try it again but with a chilled glass. She lets it soak in cold water for a minute then pours the same beer in the cold glass which literally doesn't change a thing for the actual temperature of the beer. She then asks me if I want something else. I get a bottled corona. She took the draft beer off my tab (understandably as I took three sips) and charged me for the corona..: what a joke. Oh, and another bartender was very vocal complaining about her discontent with the restaurant and saying "this place sucks" and "nothing is ever in the same place". This restaurant desperately needs better management and training. You have a restaurant in a prime location and your cooling system of your draft beer breaks and you act like it's no big deal?
