I specifically told the barber who did my cut that I did not want a military cut since that seems to be the only cut barbers can do with my hair in San Diego. I asked to take some of the length off the top (Half an inch), and to use a number 2 guard on the sides while blending the top with the sides. However, the barber did not follow any of those instructions and proceeded to scalp me giving me a bizarre, lopsided mess. What was cut off was well over two inches from the top and the barber used a 1 guard on the sides. The barber also failed to blend the side where the natural part is, making it appear as though they didn't know how to blend the cut at all. I was a bit concerned when the barber never once had me face the mirror so I could observe what was being done. It was the first time I had ever been to a shop that doesn't allow you to watch what is being done. Hence why I was unable to speak up with regard to the length being cut from the top. I should have known something was up when my cut was finished within less than ten minutes when my previous barber took at least 35-40 minutes to ensure everything was symmetrical to my face and that I didn't end up looking like a complete idiot. I came to your shop looking for an alternative to my high end shop because I just couldn't justify the cost any longer, given the length of my hair. But it seems the old saying may have been right, "You get what you pay for." Fortunately, my hair grows very quickly so I will need to find someone who can properly fix the chop job that was done at your shop. I had hoped I had found a new place to get my hair cut, but I don't know if Butch's is the place for me based on my first visit. Thanks.
