Negative this place Cat is Toby. They should have liquid med for thyroid in pet hospital. Dr Dev said don't have it done ordered chewy. That hospital very limited. Like kidney won't show blood work and liquid med don't have it and also dr dev said Toby is ready to picked up on the phone when I got there I waited more than half hour. Hospital required to have any type of meds in their office. HOSPITAL. ! They had pill but not liquid. Toby failed pill due to he knows. This place BAN-FIELD BRICK KILLED my baby!!! She was an older dog and had a physical the same day. The vet gave paperwork & said she had typical aging but was overall a healthy dog!! I was given an ultimatum to give her the rabies vaccine or she would not be able to be seen for her possible UT!!! After that vaccine, her body started deteriorating instantly! I went back the next day with my baby clinging to life & BEGGED FOR HELP and was told if I didn't have thousands of dollars, they would not help me!! My baby tried to hang on. I syringe-fed her, massaged her, but she lost so much muscle mass, weight, and eventually, she left me!! I am heartbroken, living with guilt, and I feel like a part of my heart died with her!! I am so sad, and after researching and realizing this franchise has a history of neglect, I feel so bad and like I failed my baby! I am writing this review as tears pour down my face and hoping others learn from my mistake!! TAKE YOUR DOG SOMEWHERE ELSE!! My baby went from an overall healthy dog to being able to see her ribs, spine, having eating problems, not being able to remember her favorite words, and major cognitive decline. Don't do it!! This is a way overdue review of gratitude; our poor pup Stella (blue whippet) was having major complications with her pancreas just before she was due for her spay to the point we were so scared that she didn't have much longer. We took her in when she was throwing up stool, bleeding rectally, exhausted, and dehydrated. The amount of compassion, intelligence, care, tests, and understanding this banfield has, as well as the one in the fed ex plaza, is incomparable. I had one tech, Drew, who worked with me a lot; he took her case in and made it his mission to do everything he could, and he did. Drew would call to check in frequently to see how she was doing, be the main communicator between the doctors and myself, would assist in finding and giving the best care possible, expressed so much compassion to our pup and us, was able to relate with things he has personally gone through, and just went above and beyond for her. Thankfully, with the incredible knowledge and care that Dr. Z and other doctors of this team were able to get her to be stable And follow through with her surgery (spay). They continue to monitor her but she is doing phenomenal thanks to them. We are so blessed to have our happy and HEALTHY pup! needles to say, I highly recommend the Banfield's in brick. Back in February I brought my dogs for vaccinations and comprehensive exams. That night I ended up in urgent care with my 4 year old Yorkshire Terrier for a collapsed trachea, and anaphylaxis shock. I brought my dogs Friday for the same thing. Ended up in North Star because my dog went into respiratory distress. I don't know what they do to my dogs but they will never touch them again. This is the second time my dog almost died. My heart is broken because my beautiful girl is damaged from this animal hospital. Do your self a favor, go elsewhere with your pets. If I could leave negative stars I would. I used to be beyond proud of the complements the staff gave in regard to my dog's performance while getting her nails cut. Well it's not worth the money. I spent 25+ dollars for a nail trim to just mentally scar my dog to the point that now when at the groomer my animal is tail tucked and trembling. Do not trust this place with your fur babies. We've been customers for coming up to 11 years. Our American Bulldog was about 6 weeks old when we got her. She used to fit on my lap. At 1 year old she grew to about 25 pounds and at about 2 years old she was 80 pounds. We were told by the breeder, not more than 50 pounds. Banfield's annual maintenance program worked fine for us. They treated our Cocoa in a professional manner, told us what to expect during each visit. I would highly recommend Banfield for your DOG'S anual maintenance program. Bills you monthly and we used the option for their Heartworm vaccination every 6 months. Cocoa is going to be 11 years old end of June. It's time to move out of a maintenance program and our new Vet is 1/4 mile from our house. Just fits her age better. read more

So let's talk about this "hospital"- I WANT TO GIVE THEM ZERO STARS. They spayed my kitten last week. She's been quarantined in my home in a safe area for a full week as of today. I noticed her sutures and wound was open and immediately called them. They respond an hour later and tell me to send pictures.... I do. I don't hear back until 4pm (nearly 2hrs later after I have to call again) and I'm told to take her immediately to an emergency vet because they "won't take her, they close in an hour." I'm lucky enough to have a Vet Tech friend who immediately takes a look and cleans and re-closes the wound. She tells me the sutures are the issue. Then she says it's infected and when looking at my kittens medication- THEY NEVER GAVE HER AN ANTIBIOTIC! THEY ONLY GAVE HER TWO SYRINGES OF "DE-WORMER" (pyrantel pamoate --which was never what they said!! And not even close to an antibiotic!) So not only did they mistreat and refuse to help with THEIR mistake - they also LIED and didn't give my kitten the proper medication!!! They could've KILLED HER!!!! SHAME ON YOU BANFIELD. read more

I had an appointment to get my dogs nails trimmed (he is very fearful and doesn't like his paws touched) so he had to be medicated prior to the nail trim. I was told the timing of giving him the meds was very important (had to be given 90 mins before the visit. i followed their advice about the meds and gave it to my dog 90 mins prior....I got to the vet 10-15 mins early to make sure the medication was at the peak time. I checked in early, they saw how scared my dog was that he was shaking so bad. I was told it would only be a few minutes before he was to be seen. After standing there for 45 mins, I asked just how much longer did we have to wait- I was told it could be another 15 mins (5:45pm).....needless to say I was getting upset because my dog had already been there shaking for 45 mins- and the medication would no longer be at "peak" as they said it has to be.....but I was then told they close at 6:00 pm- so that told me that we were going to be the last patient and they would be rushing to trim his nails because they want to leave. I was so upset at this point- I told the girl I was leaving- it wasn't fair to make my dog sit there in fear for so long when it is visible just how scared he is and how bad he is trembling . Very disappointed with the service at the Brick, NJ location. They have been under staffed and cant seem to keep doctors there. read more

The vets there treat my dogs like if they were their own pets! Even during the quarantine, they have still taken great care to make sure that my dogs were properly taken care. They were super busy (maybe short staffed with everyone staying home) and they still paid attention to all my pets' needs. Unreal my dog is sick I called they said send a photo to show the discharge from her nose I do they say she needs to come in. I bring her in Wednesday they told my husband the PCR was optional told me that day it was needed or they wouldn't know what's wrong . Paid 145$ still no results my dogs nose is still closed on one side and dry they did nothing to help except get me of 145$ on top of the plan I pay monthly for!! I called today the desk said someone would call me back with results and heard nothing I tried to call and seems they closed early today. Don't make me bring my dog and pay 145$ and not help her! Taking my dog to the vet is a stressful event for both me and bentlie. He is dog and new people aggressive. Banfield in brick was so cooperative on getting his in as the last appointment. They also were so understanding of his special needs and readjusted their techniques when they saw it was too much for benny. They made taking bentlie to the vet less stressful. I would definitely continue not only bringing my two Pets to this Banfield Pet Hospital .. Since moving back up from FL to Toms River, NJ I found that this Hospital is well Staffed and as with many Vets sometimes get overwhelmed with Pet Emergencies and Appts. .. I have experienced this issue with the 4 previous Banfielsd , from AZ to FL going on 10 years with my Maxx who is an Elder Dog .. I also immediately put my 2 month old , Mimi, on the Wellness Plan for her Spaying , etc. .. My belief is that there will always be people who wish to just complain .. With Maxx I have saved well over $6000 dollars .. And as Mimi Ages , if there were ever an issue that this location in Brick would do their best to help both Physically and me Emotionally .. The costs are so darned Reasonable .. The program assures the best Quality .. Having seen and had my dogs in the past under the care of outside programs which are way more expensive and financed , huge difference .. With the Programs there is NO Financing .. When people make complaints I truly think they go back to the Banfield after they find ou just how Expensive any Surgery and Shots and Teeth Cleaning and on and on that you get through a Banfield Plan is .. Before Banfield other Vets cost ourageous amounts of OUT of Pocket money and their Financed Programs are for the Birds .. There is NO Financing when on one of the Pet Programs .. And I can attest to fact that not all Vets are perfect , the meds they use are sometimes incorrect or can cause reactions .. But that is what happens , and you cannot blame but accept that Life Happens .. I'm pretty much furious with Banfield, its Optimum Wellness Plan, and this particular office right now. I got a rescue dog who had been going to this clinic so I kept him there and signed up for the OWP. First off, the front desk is very nice. That's all I have to say that will be good. I feel like the vets are incentivized to draw out treatment. The OWP only covers well plans and discounts on their medications. Every visit cost me as much as it would have down the road at Bricktown Veterinary Hospital. My dog has an ear infection. It started more than 6 months ago. There were monthly visits back and trying new meds. Finally, they tested the infection and told me to order meds from Chewy. I did and the ear started to respond. The meds ran out so I asked for a refill on Chewy. They ignored the faxes for the refill. I called multiple times and was promised that the doctor would send it in. They do NOT call me and say they won't. They just ghost me on it. Today was the last straw. I canceled the OWP and they told me I either had to keep it for a full year OR pay them over $700. I was told I could cancel at any time when I agreed to it. The Banfield folks also told me I could refill my dog's meds using their new Banfield pharmacy. Obviously, they're competing with Chewy now and are just ignoring all Chewy orders. Great place to go if you've got stock in Banfield. Otherwise, expect to be milked for every penny they can get out of you. The OWP thing is worthless. I'll take my dogs to a vet that actually cares about animals. Went here with my cat on a monday and was told she was in perfect condition. Ended up in an emergency clinic on a saturday with a cat who only has weeks to live. I would not recommend taking your dog here and definitely would not recommend signing a contract for their Wellness Plan. They charge higher rates than a real vet which increases the "value of services used." This is used against you once you find out you are wasting your money and decide to cancel the contract. You then either have to pay the remaining installments up front or the difference between the installments you already paid and the value of services used. Or keep paying until the year long contract is done. Instead, go to a real vet that has reasonable charges and pay as you go. You won't be locked into a contract with a questionable facility that overcharges you. Also, Banfield is owned by Mars Incorporated, a food processing conglomerate (makers of Snickers, M&M's, Whiskas, and Pedigree). They have stock holder's interests in mind, primarily, not your pet's health. read more

It's understandable why they only have one star. I think the main and only reason people bring their pets here is because it is incredibly affordable in comparison to real veterinary hospitals. Unsure of how to "feel" about this particular vet. Signed up for the one year wellness plan when we rescued a stray kitten - and were very kind and forthcoming with helping us maintain his health at first: He had fleas, scabs, and yucky crap in his ears along with mites.. The vet was nice and the vet techs were unbelievably kind initially - however he had been given medication to take care of fleas (which worked) and mites (also worked) and then something else to clean his ear. It didn't work. So upon scheduling his neuter the vet said they'd look at and clean his ear no problem, we also paid for his nails to be clipped while under... Neither of these two things were done. We felt slighted. We paid for his nail clipping as an additional fee!!! As far as his ears go - well that's another story that we are still cleaning. Now that we adopted a dog we will probably be taking our pets elsewhere. Somewhere more reliable for care. read more

There review is a 0. Took my dog there for blood work to have his liver enzyme levels checked due to him being on phenobarbital for seizures. One of the vets there told us it wasn't necessary to come every 6 months, that once a year would be fine.... my dog just passed away12/16 because his liver and heart were enlarged, if we took him 6 months ago he would most likely be alive. I was on vacation and we have insurance through Banfield. Our dog had a simple ear infection so we made an appointment with the Brick location. They insisted we drop her off (which is annoying) but we did. They said she was due for a rabies shot and asked if they could issue it and we agreed. 6 hours later we picked her up and they explained the 2 mess for her ears. About an hour later her face blew up like a football. I reviewed the paperwork and realized they gave her 2 other shits 1 which she is allergic too. It's in their system labeled that way (I checked with my Banfield) and they normally give her an antihistamine injection with it. They did not. Also why in the world would you give my dog anything extra without asking me first?! An hour later she started vomiting over and over. About 5 times. Two pieces of dog toy came up (with a small pay imprint on one piece). We never give her toys because she eats them! I brought her back and asked why they would give her shots and a toy! They denied the toy and gave her another shot costing me $176. They then suggested I take her to the hospital. She wasn't around any other dogs or toys during the trip. THEY gave her that toy. I'm completely fed up with their negligence. read more
