She even got on the floor w/ him. She was so nice to him even after he lunged at her going in for a snap, thank god for the Bakersfield muzzle! We also have a dachshund who we brought in for a small wound between his toes. She also uncovered the start of an ear infection. She brought in a lick mat w/peanut butter. She was very gentle and didn't push, backed off when they showed signs of stress. Before we left both were wagging their tails and enjoying the lick mat! We left w/ meds for both the infections and some sedatives to help us w/ the much dreaded nail trims. So far, best, nicest Vet I've found in 7 yrs. Reasonable prices as well. The dachshund's last ear infection, we were charged nearly $700 by another vet who had a mean bedside manner and it was a traumatic not to mention expensive ordeal. Both dogs got exams, antibiotic for the paw wound, ear flush, ear drops, anti-inflammitories, as well as two sedatives, all for abt $300. I think we've found our permanent vet. And She's young, so I don't think she'll be retiring any time too soon. I feel really lucky to have found this gem of a doc for our fur babies. Oh, and she did the dachshunds anal glads for us w/ out so much as a flinch or grimace. She's got mad skills and is so nice! And God forbid we ever have to put one down, she'll make a house call so he doesn't have to die in a scary vet office. She's a keeper for sure.

Everyone, including the Veterinarian, was so compassionate, and the way they did it with a warm blanket was so kind. They let me say goodbye before and after. They gave me a lovely little coffin to take her home and bury her as I preferred. I highly recommend Urgent Vet.

I'll never come here again. The other night, my 6-month old kitten, Buffy, was vomiting a lot so I…read moretook her to UrgentVet as they were the closest vet that was open. It was hard to know what was wrong, but they gave her fluids and an anti-nausea injection and told me to keep a close eye on her for the next 24 hours. The next day, Buffy was worse so I took her back. The vet tech said they needed to do blood tests and that it would take about 20 minutes. After Buffy was taken to the back, Dr. Elly Kelly came in and basically told me that Buffy doesn't look good and that she won't know anything until the blood work comes back. So I wait, and wait and wait. After an hour, someone comes in to ask me if she's been treated for heart worm, then 20 minutes later, the vet tech comes in the tell us that Buffy has a fever of 105. I'm freaking out. Why has Buffy been back there so long? Did something happen? I'm getting no updates. Finally, after 2 hours of waiting, Dr. Kelly comes in and immediately says "this cat is in bad shape" she kept saying "this cat" which I felt was very disrespectful after you just kept her in the back for 2 hours. She proceeded to tell me that blood work showed she had low levels, she had a bad fever and she's severely dehydrated. She said "this cat has bad blood and isn't doing well. This cat needs to see an emergency vet". Aside from being irritated that she won't call my cat by her name, I asked what her thoughts were on what could be wrong and she said she didn't know, but "this cat" is in bad shape. So two hours go by and this seasoned vet for some reason can't give me any other information other than "this cat is in bad shape". So we start looking for the nearest emergency vet while we wait for Buffy, but 15 minutes goes by and she's still not back. My fiancé had to open the door to the back and demand that Buffy be brought back now so we can take her somewhere else. This is when we were told that an emergent case came in a little bit ago which I guess took precedent over my cat "who's in bad shape", which is why it took 2 hours. We finally get her to another vet, we're fighting tears since Dr. Kelly didn't have an ounce of compassion when telling us that our baby cat was basically knocking on deaths door. She was immediately admitted to the vet hospital and they told us that they believe she has a viral infection and they wanted to keep her over night on an IV and that they didn't see anything to cause deep concern. Thankfully, Buffy is doing much better now, but I have never felt so disrespected and have never been spoken to in such a dismissive manner by a vet. It was very clear that Dr. Elly Kelly doesn't care about her patients and making me feel like my kitten was going to die but offering no explanation or opinion on the matter was incredibly unprofessional. If you do go there, I suggest avoid having Dr. Elly Kelly as your pets vet.
