I trust mechanics as much as I trust politicians. Which, goes to show you that I don't really have much faith in them. Finding an honest one is sometimes like finding a needle in a haystack and I'm sure you know very well as to how I feel. Even today, my new mechanic Tin, told me that the last person who did my oil change used the wrong size oil filter for my car. There are 2 kinds, a short and long one, and the inexperienced technician probably didn't care to do their job correctly. It didn't do any permanent damage to my engine, but you really don't want oil leaking out of the filter. SMH. Well, at least I know what update review to write after. Way to go Jiffy Lube. Bang DO Auto Repair is a father and son business. Tin (the son) came highly recommended from by buddy who also drives an older model Lexus. I don't really want to take my car to the dealer anymore for repairs or maintenance, especially not after 6 years and over 100K miles later. What I like about this place is that they're not just straight forward and reliable, but they run the business with integrity. Tin is not going to charge you any more than he needs to. The most trustworthy and reliable mechanic in SVG!! I have been coming in for over 15 years and they have never let me down once. They are usually very busy but will come to your aide when you have an emergency. Most important is that they aren't shady and they use good quality parts with reasonable prices compared to the dealership. I would never go back to the dealership again for maintenance. I recently had issues starting my engine during a work day and was very paranoid my car will have trouble starting again. I called my mechanic and he immediately said he will make time to check out my car right away. As promised he did and made some recommendations and off I went back to work. took my lexus in to lexus of glendale for a warranty repair of my shocks.....after 3 days i finally got my car back...after getting it back i drove back home and did a few routine stop with my kid.....less than 2years old .....n then i hear some rattling noise..i normally wouldn't hear it but somehow my stereo was off....then i drove to BDA....for them to ck it out....OMG! The dealer did not bolt my screw down tight....the nut is loose and the other screw is missing a nut...mechanic told me this was very dangerous...if i kept on driving like this my shocks would had come off......thanks god for my instinct i snap a few photos and then had them took care of it and Complain the hell out to the Dealer! Took the hubby's car in for an oil change and front tire brake change. I called Tin ahead of time to ask for a quote, meanwhile the hubby was researching a local Meineke and found a coupon for a $19.95 oil change with another coupon for 50% off the brake pads. Tin said it would be $25.00 for the oil change and roughly $180 for the brake change depending if it were front or rear. Hubby called Meineke and the receptionist told him that the brake change would start at $299.00. You can't see it, but I have a very smug look on my face right now. Tin and Bang DO Auto win again. It always takes longer than expected for work to get done there but Tin is very accommodating and will squeeze us in every time, so I am not complaining. They provided me great prices, showed me everything that was replaced in my car, and worked very diligently on it. On one, they noticed the engine was running a little rough just from touching the steering wheel. Hooked up the computer monitor for real time data (not normally part if a orepurchase inspection) and discovered the engine was running lean (fuel trim was way off). Bang Do's Great. Took my 2008 Lexus IS 250 here when it was running a little bumpy after I hit something pretty hard on the freeway. They found a good wheel/rim replacement (the rim was actually bent) and offered me used or new prices. Before I came in my car suddenly started making an odd noise when I turned it on, a fairly loud grinding type noise coming from behind the AC/Radio panel, and Tim here ended up actually throwing this in for free.
