I had a problem with their work multiple times and they failed to fix it and I now am looking for another place to get it fixed plain and simple. I brought my daughter's 2015 Impreza to have the radio/touchscreen replaced. They are really nice people, and very easy to work with. They did a great job - clean and professional, and got it all done in one day as promised. The whole setup is nicer looking and better than the factory touchscreen. So about a year ago we had a light bar installed on our son's Jeep by Bangharts. After completion, we brought it home to show the family and the wiring caught fire, filled the cabin with smoke and caused us all much concern. I reluctantly returned the Jeep to have this issue resolved which I suppose it was? This was the first issue . Over the past year since this installation, we have had the battery replaced 2 times and it just died again this Christmas morning requiring us to jump it once more. After doing some research regarding causes of battery drain and not finding anything relevant, I searched light bar installation. Much of the feedback surprisingly mentions these lights should only be wired and available when the vehicle is running and with the appropriate relay in place. Well, I called and talked to the admin first and then Frank about my concern and he treated me like a complete idiot, and was almost worse in person when I go to his shop. I do a lot of my own car and house maintenance, but am certainly no expert with auto electrical work. When I call a business that provides niche "expert" service I would expect a little compassion and courtesy but wow, Frank maybe you and your admin could use some customer relationship training and treat people with a little respect when they have concerns, especially when they give you a second chance. I did not appreciate your little demeaning responses to my concerns and I would warn any other consumers about this business. I did not have Bangharts service our kid's vehicle again today even though I had it on location. Due to additional safety concerns, trust and being treated in such an unprofessional way I did not feel comfortable that the job would be done correctly. I will be taking it to a reputable business that is more competent, tactful and pleasant to deal with. Just overall really disappointed, especially when I try to support local mom and pop shops in my area. read more

After having issues with an installation for sometime, I finally called the owner and tried to have a calm conversation with him. He was very defensive from the start, and was unwilling to take responsibility for the issue that has occurred. He was downright confrontational. They have now lost a future client and we are saddled with dealing with this issue which is still present. They were great when it came to the sale but awful when it came to servicing the client. They even had my vehicle additional days, more than projected and the overall sale price was higher than originally estimated. I did not complain at all which makes this that much more painful. I expected a more professional experience. I also would like to add this this is my first negative review on Yelp ever. I prefer to promote great businesses. read more

Took my daughter's 2010 Jeep Wrangler to Banghart's for a much needed updated stereo with wireless Carplay and bluetooth before she headed back to college. Even though they were super busy, they found a way to squeeze us in. They went above and beyond in providing us with a great product and phenomenal service.....but more importantly a great local business in West Chester, PA with a great group of guys!! Two stars due to previous work done and seemingly honest pricing up until over a week ago. I was quoted pricing for lighting pkg and wheel wells over the phone. Got the car back charged at full pricing for the product and installation without the wheel wells installed. Immediately left an email message and received no response. Called later that afternoon and was told a different story by the owner, Frank and claimed he was willing to make things right especially since I was looking to have a DSP installed. Another 2 days later I received more runaround and the issue is still unresolved. I will be filing a dispute and recommend not to do business with Banghart and GET ALL QUOTES IN WRITING OR YOURE GETTING SCREWED. I'm appalled by how they treat respected customers. These guys do fantastic work. I was just looking to fix a failing stereo in a 20 year old car. Figuring I needed a new amp and head unit (from a previous diagnosis). Banghart's found a blown and shorted speaker causing my problems. So, still doing the head unit upgrade and replacing the bad speakers, they got me back in business for about half what I was expecting to pay. I could not be happier with their work. read more

Had a 4 button 2-way remote start (Auto Mate brand) installed in a 2001 Tundra for $399 + tax. This truck is an extra vehicle and it parked outside so remote start was a must. Doesn't even take into consideration the truck didn't have keyless entry when I purchased which you don't miss until it's pouring rain and you're fumbling for the keys to unlock the door. The truck can be started from over a 1/4 mile away if I have decent line of sight. The 2-way system includes 2 remotes but only 1 of them is "2-way" meaning it sends a signal back to the remote to let you know the function took place i.e. remote start, lock, and unlock. I talked with both Randy and Frank that work the front counter and both were excellent. Everything was explained and demonstrated prior to me leaving their shop. Was originally planning to have Best Buy do the install but glad I didn't as the location in Downingtown stopped doing installation work altogether. Bangharts has been in Business for decades and guarantees their work for as long as you own it. Obviously the warranty for the remote start system itself is limited. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again... hope this review helps guide your decision to use them as well!! read more

Falkner GMC made sure my 2018 GMC was in pristine condition when I took delivery-during the walkaround there were 2 minor dings which they fixed. I am retired and my vehicles are my passion and with the jet back paint job I was excited to get it all waxed up which I did this past Sunday. It turned out beautifully. I mention all this because the truck was not equipped with back up sensors and the dealer referred me to Bangarts. On Monday night I dropped the truck off as per their instructions and left the keys in the drop box for the work to be done on Tuesday. It was done Tuesday afternoon but too late for my pickup so I did so today. Upon arrival, the truck was out front and I immediately noticed scratches along the passenger side from the rear to the front. (It looked as though someone was carrying something and brushed the truck with the exception of the front where there actually was a ding) I brought the shop, this to the attention of the (I believe) owner, Randy who along with another gentleman came out to look. Their immediate reaction was that it was from a car wash. (no vehicle of mine ever sees a car wash) then the other guy said the noticed they were there when they got it. As I mentioned, I had waxed truck on Sunday, it never left my garage until I dropped it off. And it was unblemeished. I was furious but did not want to argue in front of other customers so I left the shop, went to my auto repair guy, and called Randy on my way home It will cost me 1700 to fix the truck. Obviously this is a "he said, she said" situation I am not looking for restitution, but my ONLY point in calling him was to alert him that there is a problem in his shop that he needs to be aware of because the scratches happened there! He was very cordial and thanked me for the call. I never leave my vehicles to be repaired unless we do a mutual walk around when I drop it off but the Bangharts reviews were good so I dropped my guard. I blame myself for not doing so. Expensive decision. Beware! BTW, the back up sensors work fine! read more

So purchased an aftermarket remote start for my wife for Christmas. Purchased the installation on a gift certificate as well. Dropped the car off the night before, and called in the morning to verify all was well. Seven hours later I get a voicemail, I call back at 4 when they close at 5 and they haven't started because they need to work me for another fifty bucks for installation or they won't do it. Took my daughter's '01 Toyota Camry to Banghart's for a remote and automatic car start. It was her Christmas present! Bought the car used for college and was told that we could get a remote on Ebay from seller. Found out the car never even CAME with the remote convenience so I called Toyota. You can depend on Banghart's to do quality work and the gentleman at the counter is very cordial. However, it's important that you get the cost in writing before you leave your vehicle there. Banghart's installed my remote start years ago. I had a great experience with them and have recommended others. However, in December my experience was disappointing. I was quoted a price for the installation of a remote starter on the phone. I was also quoted a price of $25. for a "bypass" because the vehicle model did not have a valet key. When I received my bill it was $100. more than expected and the "$25. bypass" was inflated to $50. The gentlemen at the counter agreed that the $50. charge was incorrect and should have been $25. After numerous phone calls to resolve the situation, I was finally able to speak to the owner. He disagreed that I was given an incorrect price on the phone. He also disagreed that the "bypass" should have been $25., contradicting what the employee at the counter said. He agreed to "meet me halfway" and "split" the difference - take it or leave it. My account was then credited $50. If I had not been persistent, there would have been no effort on their part to resolve the discrepancy. As stated earlier, they do quality work but my recommendation is to get the price IN WRITING before you leave your vehicle with them. Also, I requested a new battery for my existing remote starter and was told "no problem". However, when I got to their counter I was told that they didn't have any more batteries and I should go to a photo shop.
