We met another couple here on Memorial Day. It wasn't busy. Nice atmosphere for a strip mall venue. Windows everywhere. The owner was our server. Nice man. His wife is the chef. I'd say the consensus was overall positive. But we do have some critique. I had the drunken noodles with pork and mild spice. It was tasty. I enjoyed the sauce, but the pork was tough and there weren't many vegetables. The pork was better as a leftover later. I ordered this because it listed veggies. But those were sparsely placed. Perhaps I needed to ask for extra. My husband had Moo Ping very mild. He said it was tasty, but again, the pork was chewy, hard for him. The rice was so hard, he couldn't cut it with his fork. So that went uneaten. My friends went hotter and it seemed their meals were better. She had Grandma's Pad Thai. I tasted it. Yummy. He had a very hot curry that I didn't try, but he seemed to enjoy it. If I went back, I'd get her dish. They also ordered three appetizers. Edamame might have been frozen. They were mushy to me. And no salt that I detected, so bland. I didn't put enough sauce on the golden tofu, I guess. The others enjoyed it. My husband really liked it. And we all enjoyed the shrimp tempura. My friend also had a mixed drink and seemed to enjoy that. It was quiet enough that we could catch up and it's in between where we live. Checked out a new Thai place for lunch. They had some interesting menu items. I tried the tom kha ramen, for something different. I liked that it came with a good amount of fresh veggies. Dish was a bit under-seasoned, could have used more salt and depth of flavor. I ordered medium spice and then added more spice to make up for the lack of flavor. What arrived on our table lacked taste, energy, and intention, as if the kitchen was simply executing recipes without engagement or care. The moo ping should have been a highlight sweet, smoky, caramelized, and alive with char. Instead, it arrived hollow and lifeless, missing the marinade and fire that define the dish. There was no depth, no fragrance, no sense that the cook believed in what was being served. The accompanying rice was merely filler, and an additional order of Thai fried rice continued the same pattern: edible, but flat, dull, and entirely uninspired. My wife's gluten-free Pad Thai with tofu, a dish built on balance and brightness, was especially disappointing. It lacked acidity, sweetness, umami, and spice every note that gives Pad Thai its character. The noodles felt seasoned out of obligation rather than intention. It was food that offered no pleasure and no reason to return to it, ultimately left unfinished out of sheer indifference. This experience was not about spice tolerance, dietary restriction, or personal preference. Five people ordered widely, and the conclusion was unanimous: nothing stood out, nothing lingered, nothing satisfied. When every plate is this muted, it signals more than an off night it suggests a chef cooking without inspiration, without curiosity, and without soul. Thai cuisine is bold by nature. I ordered the street pad thai and I was a bit disappointed after reading all the great reviews. I ordered low spice but unfortunately I think that was taken as no spice and my food didn't have near as much flavor as I expected in a great Thai place. The Grand Pad Thai is a five star! We've also tried the Ramen and Green curry - good but not great. We are interested in finding more entrees that we love like the Grand Pad Thai dish. The ambience is clean and nice but nothing fancy, it's located in a strip mall. Our server is good, basically a one man operation but no problem there. It's always good to try new Thai places, for how high the ratings are I expected a bit more from the other dishes, but we will try others. If you're a Pad Thai fan then definitely try this place out. I love this place- it is a real authentic Thai place with great dishes to try. The satay is not always on the menu, but they have it sometimes, so ask if they have it. I have tried the grand pad thai and it is my favorite- the right blend of sweet and savory. I have also had the pad see ew which was nice and garlicy. I cannot wait to go back and try more dishes. This was is super cute and I believe brand new. I walked in and wasn't greeted right away and practically sat myself down. The service wasn't bad and was pretty fast! There are outdoor seating as well. They do have a bar as well. I got Pad See Ew with Chicken 4/5 and it wasn't bad! My husband said there was a bad odor to it but it didn't smell bad to me. We were in Broomfield for some errands and were really hungry. We were hoping to find a good Thai spot (it was Memorial Day and we weren't sure what would be open). We stumbled on Bangkok Avenue on Yelp and had to check it out since it had such good ratings. It was awesome! The owner of Bangkok Avenue was working, and you could tell she is so passionate about her food. She gave great suggestions, she recommended ways to top off the dishes, and she provided such great information. It was so nice to get to talk with her and to try out her amazing recipes. We started with the fried dumplings. Loved how crispy they were, and that they were pan fried. I ended up getting the green curry and loved it. The curry has a good kick (but isn't too spicy) and the tofu we added was the perfect addition. The Grand Pad a Thai was some of the best Pad Thai I've ever had. The flavors were unreal, the chicken paired so well (and we loved the mini tofu bites, and the coconut milk and spices were spot on. Awkward ambiance, this meal cost me $30!! I got spicy 4/5 and it was spicy. Crab cheese rangoons had no crab. Pad Thai had hardly any veggies, they were out of lime... cook in the back (the lady) yelled at the cash register guy that they were completely out of limes... flavor was meh on the pad Thai. We just moved from CA to CO, and I am so thankful that this place is close to our home. It is a very authentic Thai restaurant and I enjoy their food so much that I have eaten here once each week since I have moved here! Everything is yummy, and they even have a ramen menu. OMG! I had no idea Broomfield was known for Thai food. Came here for an early lunch with my partner after working out, and the place was empty. Plenty of parking in the strip mall lot out front. The soggy noodles tasted like they had been hastily tossed in sauce and lacked nuanced flavor. The portion size was at a $13 price point versus over the $16 that I paid for the dish. The service was also sub par. There was only one customer in the store. The server spent most of their time on their phone and laptop. Someone had to come from the kitchen to give me my bill. The space itself is cheerful and light-filled, but after the overpriced and unappetizing meal and poor service, I don't think I will return. read more

We came in at 3:30pm, had amazing service from Kate... expertly prepared dishes, delicately sliced FRESH veggies, tender pork and chicken, and prompt service. Katie recommended the two most popular dishes and we were very pleased - got the Pork Drunken Noodles and the Grand Pad Thai made with rich and creamy coconut milk! I really enjoyed this place! It was pretty quiet and not busy but the employee working at the time was super kind. The restaurant feels comfy and it's nice how much sun light shines inside. The sauce that comes with the golden tofu is EVERYTHING, it was delicious. I also enjoyed the pad thai and thai iced tea as well. Only thing is that I wished they would do different spice levels for their noodle dishes, but it was no big deal because I added the crisp chili oil, which hit the spot.
