Finally a good Thai restaurant in the north Denver suburbs!! I'm Asian, and I have lived in L.A. and Houston so my standards are high when it comes to Asian food. I give this place 5 stars because it's the best Thai food I've had in the north Denver suburbs. The pad Thai was spot on, not that mediocre concoction that some cooks who didn't grow up eating pad Thai attempt to make. The sauce and seasoning balances are just right. Second, the Tom Kha Gai soup was also just right. Again, the food here is significantly better tasting and more accurate than any other Thai restaurant I've tried in this area. Third, they have papaya salad on their menu!!! A sign of a true Thai restaurant in my book! And they have Thai people cooking the food!! Lastly, the prices are very reasonable for the area and are in some cases $3-4 less than other subpar Thai food in the area. I am sooo excited I found this Thai place. I went in for lunch and I was the only customer there. Please consider eating here. The person who took my order and brought the food to my table was lovely. She came back to check on me several times but not too many times. I ordered the Pork Fried Egg Rolls. Crispy and flavorful. I also ordered the Pork Lo Mein. Everything was fresh. The broccoli, carrots, celery and bean sprouts were cooked just enough still leaving some crunch to them. I asked for medium heat and it just lit up my mouth with the right spice. The server was very nice and took good care of us. The restaurant and the bathrooms were clean and well kept. We really love the fried egg rolls and the fried tofu appetizers. Both were tasty, their fried egg rolls had more of a black pepper taste that was delicious! I had the Pad Ga Praw with minced beef, it was tasty, a little on the too salty side for me but overall was great paired w white rice. We also ordered the Country Pad Thai, it was really good and it came with tofu, chicken and shrimp. The pineapple fried rice was tasty as well but it wasn't quite fried enough. Not looking for wok hay here but it needed a bit more time on the fire. The Thai iced tea was really yummy, a bit too sweet but adding some water fixed that. Good portions, good food, great service! We need to order the mango sticky rice next time. Thought it was good value to the amount of food we received. read more

Large Disappointment. We need a good Thai place close for sit down and take out... this is not it unless they fix a bunch of stuff. We ordered 5 different dishes. Flavors were good on most (Pineapple rice had no flavor) and they were all lacking vegies and/or meat. For example see the photo I posted of Pad Ga Praw. I've eaten this dish ~100 times at ~30 different Thai restaurants around the USA. This version is the only one that didnt have a ton of Green Beans, which is supposed to be half the darn entrée! This is a take out place since the ambiance is a solid "We dont want you to eat here so we did nothing to make it comfortable or enjoyable." vibe. We ordered online exactly 1 hour prior to pickup (online it said it could be ready in as soon as 16 minutes). When we arrived only 2 of the 5 dishes were ready. They did get them done quickly but really it should have been done easily by then. - Pad Ga Praw, great flavor, no veg! - Pineapple Fried rice was 98% rice, not much flavor and hardly any meat or cashews, no raisins that I could see, etc - Khao Soi had almost very little meat, and no veg at all other than the bean sprouts they give you on the side - Thai Curry, great flavor, good amt of veg, ok on the meat but could use more. - Larb Salad, good flavor, lacked onions and had only 1 tiny lettuce leaf. read more

So nice, I went twice in one week! The service is wonderful here, I ordered mostly vegetarian options & when I placed my wonton soup order, they were so attentive they wanted to make sure I was aware there was chicken in the wontons. I really appreciated them taking the time to ask! Not only that, but the soup was delicious and the Pad Thai is some of the best I've ever had! Just the right amount of heat and texture. Loved this place! We came in for an early dinner and had no trouble finding a seat. The atmosphere was relaxed and easy for conversation. It's definitely a great spot for a quick bite or takeout. We ordered the Country Pad Thai and the Green Curry. The Pad Thai was fantastic with perfect tandoori flavor and a great mix of tofu, chicken, and shrimp. I ordered it at a hot spice level, which was very manageable, and I could easily go up one or two notches next time. The Green Curry was outstanding with a rich depth of flavor and delicious zucchini. The curry-to-rice ratio was spot on, so you didn't have to ration it out bit by bit. Got my Khao Soi order to go. The service was great and now that I'm eating the khao soi, I'm pleased with the flavor profile and the amount of food you get. Really disappointed. We ordered pad Thai, vegetable egg rolls, chicken satay, and spring rolls. The pad Thai really wasn't good, it was way too tangy while also somehow not having much flavor and it had barely any toppings, it was mostly just noodles. The tofu I added was very squishy and I didn't like the texture compared to other local options. The spring rolls were good but the chicken in them threw off the flavor. Pork or just shrimp would've been better. The chicken satay was ok but the pieces were really small, and the vegetable egg rolls were very breaded and almost tasted frozen. read more

5/5 So happy we found Khao Soi Store House in Lafayette -- what a fantastic addition to the neighborhood! They've only been open about a month, but you'd never guess it from the food and service, which are already outstanding. We tried the Saigon noodle with beef, pineapple fried rice with chicken, and pad ga praw with chicken. Every dish was spot-on. The Saigon noodle had that deep, comforting flavor with tender beef that really carried the dish. The pineapple fried rice was bursting with flavor -- the perfect balance of sweet and savory -- and the chicken was cooked just right. The pad ga praw had bold, fresh flavors with a satisfying kick, and it was so good we were tempted to order a second serving to take home. Portions were generous, plating was beautiful, and the staff was warm and attentive. You can tell they put a lot of pride into their cooking. This place is already a gem, and I can't wait to come back with friends to explore more of the menu. Lafayette is lucky to have them! read more

Went to Khao Soi restaurant in Lafayette today, was very nice. I got there between 3 and 4, and the sign said they were closed between those hours on Friday, but the sign said "OPEN", so I called, and the owner answered and said they were open, so I went on in, was the only one there, lol. Nice, clean, open space, nothing fancy. Had Drunken Noodles, which is my go-to for a first-time dish at a Thai place, it was good, large portion with plump, juicy shrimp, as well as beef, and chicken. They were impressed when I asked for some prik nam pla, very nice and friendly folks. I got some pineapple fried rice w/ shrimp to go to take to my wife, who is recovering from bunion surgery, and it was very tasty with lots of plump shrimp, as well. All told, a nice family-run place with good food and service, and I will definitely be back to try their other offerings, as well as their namesake, Khao Soi. read more

Ate with the family at Khao Soi Thai. Ambience: pretty typical for a strip mall Thai restaurant. Service: Very good. Food: hit-and-miss. On the appetizer sampler, the dumplings were pretty good, chicken satay was a little dry, crab rangoons definitely need a reboot. Entrees: Basil seafood was pretty good; chopped green beans in the dish were a little odd. Red curry duck was very good - excellent flavor and mix of ingredients.
