I first tried Aloy at an event in Denver and really liked it. We tried it this evening and liked it a lot. I see why it is so popular. But do know they do not have identical menu items to the Denver locations. This fact did cause me to be disappointed when one of the items arrived at the table. My husband loved it though, as he is a big fan of cream cheese which I am not. I only eat items like NY cheesecake and on bagels with lox. What I wanted to try was the roasted duck dumpling but got the fried wonton with cream cheese and duck. It had a good sauce as well as a slice of mango and a pinch of pea shoots on the top. I do love baby pea shoots and though not what I envisioned, I did eat my portion. The shrimp spring rolls were some of the best I have had in a while. I had a hot oolong tea and my husband had a Thai tea. We both liked our drinks which were exactly as we expected. We also had a "small" plate of bbq chicken which was hardly a small thing. A large tasty section of chicken on a bed of lettuce with a side of shredded carrot and cabbage with a very nice sauce. It was perfect for my husband but as I am not allowed chicken skin, it was harder to eat but tasty. Such a bigger serving than we expected, we brought enough home for lunch tomorrow. The staff were friendly, helpful yet not intrusive. The setting was perfect for me and for all as the variety of styles allow for accommodating any needs. Pricing was average for Boulder and more than worth it. We will be back and try more items. Often have lunch with a friend who drives and it will be perfect for that this summer.

I tried the chef's special of Bison Khao Soi and it was a flavor bomb with tender chunks of bison throughout. I ordered hot spice level and it wasn't very spicy. Great service and nice atmosphere too.

There are very few Thai restaurants in Colorado that can compete with Thai Avenue. Of the few dozen…read moreThai restaurants that I have tried in Colorado, the only one that is even comparable to Thai Avenue is Farmhouse Thai in Lakewood. The flavors here are rich, but they aren't overwhelming. The dishes are also not greasy (an issue you can run into with some Thai restaurants). You can also expect very fast service. If you are in Boulder then this is a must!

The chicken was probably cooked enough, but barely and to the point where it gave me slight pause. I got spicy level 4, and it had a pretty good amount of heat that met my expectations of a 4 out of 5 heat level. The ratio of noodle to chicken to garnishes is good. The food court that it's in doesn't feel clean, but I don't think that's the fault of Thai Avenue. I used to come here 2-3 times a week for a couple years over 10 years ago when I was a college student, and back then it was easily 5 stars. I heard a lot of people say that the place changed and it's not what it used to be, so I went out of my way to go back and try them again. Sadly it's true that they arent what they used to be. Seems to be different cooks. I wonder where the original cooks went because I want to eat at wherever that is.

We were there to celebrate, so we split our order across two of the eight stalls: pineapple fried…read morerice with chicken from Chiang Mai (the Thai stall) and Chicken Shawarma from Amira (Middle Eastern). Both were genuinely well-executed -- the fried rice had real char and sweetness instead of tasting like a steam-table version, and the shawarma was juicy with a good sear on the edges, not the dry, overcooked version you get at a lot of fast-casual spots. Rosetta runs all eight concepts under one kitchen team rather than independent vendors, and it shows in how consistent everything tastes across stalls. We were at the main-floor bar downstairs, not the rooftop one, and the bartenders there were the highlight of the night. Attentive, fast, and clearly used to reading a group that's celebrating something. This is the spot for a group with different cravings who still wants to sit together -- one person wants noodles, another wants shawarma, nobody has to compromise. It's not a quiet date-night pick; it's communal, and built for exactly the kind of night we had. We'll be back, and next time we're ordering that fried rice again.

I was expecting a typical food hall and instead it felt much more elevated and thoughtfully designed than that. The way the coffee shop and bar sort of flow together makes the whole space feel really social without being chaotic, and the rooftop patio honestly makes it feel bigger than you'd expect from the outside. At the time, it felt surprisingly modern for Boulder in a really good way. It's also one of the best places to take visitors because everyone can find something they actually want and the quality across the different vendors is consistently solid. Huge bonus that there's a parking garage directly across the street too because parking in Boulder can otherwise become its own adventure.
