There are at least two types of Thai restaurants: the generic, load the peanuts and the sugar into the Pad Thai to please the uninitiated kind; and the we serve the fish with the head on and the lemongrass lights up your taste buds kind. This is the latter. Walking into the restaurant, tucked into a strip mall, I was getting ready to fire up the generic alarm. But then the sweet lady that was our server disarmed me with her speed, kindness, and directness. Then the cucumber salad came out. Even if you like Veggie Tales it'll make you kiss Larryboy good bye. Next came the yellow curry--it took me back to my favorite hole-in-the-wall Thai place in NY, and I was in curry heaven. Incredible taste, hearty potatoes and carrots, and a happy tummy. Like I tipped the bowl to drink the last of it. But beware! They play these addictive videos of people making street food on the wall-mounted TV that will make you want to a) buy all the food and b) take a bite out of the screen. I made a few togo orders and one of them was wrong. The service was wonderful and fast but the food was ok. I ordered the pad Thai chicken and shrimp and the noodles weren't all covered in the pad Thai sauce, they were lacking flavors. The order had all the elements to make it spectacular but just not saucy enough. The beef drunken noodles were delicious but the beef had no flavor, and had a rubbery texture. I ate all the noodles but spared the beef. I recommend getting chicken shrimp or tofu in this order, I did not like the beef. The satay chicken was delicious, very tender and tasty. And I ordered spicy basil chicken fried rice, but instead I got spicy basil chicken with a side of jasmine rice. The dish was delicious, but not what I ordered. I also ordered the sticky mango rice and that was delicious and met my expectations but I do believe a better version exists at Lotus Thai. I highly recommend to double check your Togo orders before leaving the restaurant especially when placing more than 3 dishes. The price is very reasonable and they provide large portions. Bangkok Broiler is the BEST Thai restaurant in the high desert!! There's no place that's as clean and comforting as here. On this second visit, I tried the Mongolian beef, Massaman curry with chicken, and crab rangoons, and they were sooo delicious!! The first time visit, I tried their pad see ew, crab fried rice, and tom yum soup, with a Thai tea, and they were additively delicious. Paul, Chony, and Jackson are the best owners and cooks and always made my experience feel like I am eating with family. Jennifer the waitress and the young guy are always on top of their game, making sure I am taken care of, my water is always full, and I am satisfied at the end. The pad see ew had good flavor and when coupled with some of the chilis from the chili jars they put on the table, it was perfect. The orange chicken was absolutely phenomenal. Went back 7/2/26 this place is so good. I thought I took a picture of the beef boat soup unfortunately I didn't if you just want a flavor with a deep meaty undertone that will literally heal anything. It feels like please order that the hot wings which are wonderful waitress told us to get where crispy had a sweetness had a chilliness I love the fresh parsley on it. You can't go wrong with their spring rolls. I always get them. We tried two different dishes the shrimp with garlic sauce it's very light refreshing, especially on a hot day. We did the lunch special which is not too bad. They're like 13 to 15 bucks. It comes with a salad, rice, egg, eggroll, and then your main entrée. We also did the chili green beans. We ordered the chicken sa-tay, grilled pork, 3 meat fried rice, shrimp chow mein, beef pad see ew and a bowl of tom kha soup with chicken. The chicken sa-tay was amazingly marinated, grilled and was served with a sweet peanut sauce and marinated cucumbers on the side. The grilled pork was also deliciously marinated, grilled and came with a spicy, acidic and savory sauce. Their chow mein was fabulous and better than anything that we've had at a Chinese restaurant. Ohhh, I like what they have done with this place! Located on the very busy Main Street and 7th Street intersection, this new Thai Restaurant is something new, updated, and different. Located in the former, and once popular, Bangkok Thai, Bangkok Broiler brings familiar Thai dishes but with subtle differences unfamiliar to me when I go to other Thai restaurants. For example, their Bangkok Spring Rolls are definitely larger and their peanut sauce has a smoky flavor to it, and it's not a bad thing. Additionally, it is served with a refreshing mint sauce that is thinner but definitely a nice touch to something as fresh as these spring rolls. The Fish Cakes were something new, probably too oily for my pallette, but I definitely appreciated the serving portion and the flat (instead of round) serving. It had a Thai heat to it that is well appreciated. The curry puffs are excellent. Piping hot and fresh off the fryer, it is filled with a savory potato curry and some corn, served with a vinegar cucumber sauce. It is good for 2-3 people. Our main dishes included a beef fried rice, noodles, and something new (at least to me) a ginger and mushroom plate. This ginger mushroom with beef plate was fantastic! We also ordered a noodle dish that came with crispy fried pork. Such good deep fried goodness! Now the dishes are served family style, but the A LA Carte dishes are served with a small side of rice. The menu is expansive, the location itself has a more open floor plan, but make plans to arrive earlier than the dinner rush because, like anything to new to the desert, lines form quickly. I think the smartest things this location did was modernize its interior to serve more customers and make it's menu authentic to its culture. I hope they don't let the customers tell them to tone down the spice because, really, thai food should not lower its spice or flavor. read more

New Thai restaurant in the area. I ordered the Boat Noodles and Sai Oua. The Boat Noodles came with chunks and slices of tender beef, pork liver, beef meatballs, onion and cilantro topping, and rice noodles in a rich, slightly spicy broth. The spice heat level can be adjusted according to taste. The broth does have a sweetness to it which is an acquired taste. Seasoning is similar to other Asian stews with a flavor of star anise and five-spice. The rice noodles were a bit overcooked in my bowl resulting in a slight gumminess, but other than that issue, the dish was delicious. Highly recommended since this is the only place currently serving Boat Noodles here in the High Desert. The other dish I ordered was Sai Oua which are grilled sausages. I was given a choice of beef, chicken, or pork. I chose beef. There was two to an order. These appeared to be made in house with a snappy casing, grilled until nicely charred and juicy. The flavor was garlicky with the fresh herbaceous notes of lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves. It was very appetizing. The sausages were served with fresh condiments like a wedge of cabbage, shredded carrots and cabbage, thinly sliced ginger, raw red onions, and green chilis. Definitely a must try dish and also not served in other Thai restaurants in the area. I will certainly return soon to try the other dishes on the menu, especially the grilled meats. The restaurant inside is bright and airy. It was comfortable dining in. There is a small waiting area in the front for to-go orders. Beverages are free currently until the end of the year. The orange chicken was so unique and hands down the best orange chicken I have ever had. The flavor was incredible and unlike anything I have tried before. Honestly everything we ordered was bomb. I also got the chicken dumpling soup and the fresh Bangkok roll, both were so delicious. The sauces that came with the rolls were amazing too and really elevated the whole dish. Food was really good, portion sizes were good but when compared to the price this is why I gave a 4 star. My favorite dish was Pad Kee Mao noodles and I got them hot. It was really amazing, all veggies no meat. My friend loved the Pad Thai medium all veggies. The Kung Pao shrimp was also really good, it has sweet potatoes and water chestnuts! The least favorite item was the garlic beef, the beef itself was good but it was on top of lettuce. If it came on top of cabbage it would be awesome. Went here on my way to vegas from LA. Honestly, food was pretty good solid 7/10. Pad Thai and Thai Ice Coffee is proper. Thai Iced Tea is too sweet. Pad Kra Pow is not using minced meat and although taste decent, it does not taste like a traditional pad kra pow. Service: There were a couple of empty tables but we got seated in like 10 minutes, it took so long to get a server to get our order, they did not have communication between servers and had to ask me what my order was, twice. Even asking for the check took a really long time. They only had 1 server attending to most things, maybe due to language barrier for other servers. Service 2/10 Place is pretty huge and looked clean. Restroom was nice and big. 5/10 place, if I were to come to vegas again, I will not make another stop here. read more

By far this is the best thai spot in the desert. It's a family run restaurant and they cook it just like home. Be careful though , because if you order it spicy , it will come spicy.
