    Lunch Special Menu

First of all, why aren't there more people here? My husband and I hadn't been in this area for years, and we stumbled upon Bangkok Station in the middle of the week. We looked at each other and said, "Let's give it a try for lunch." We're true foodies, never afraid to explore a menu, so of course we ordered a variety of dishes and we were blown away. When we first walked in, we were warmly greeted by the owner, and her staff was incredibly sweet. Their customer service made us feel instantly at home. Since it was lunchtime, we ordered from both the lunch specials and the regular menu. Before the food arrived, we asked the owner what style of Thai cooking they specialize in. She explained that their recipes come from the middle region of Thailand, near Chonburi. Central Thai cuisine is known for its beautiful balance of flavors sweet, salty, spicy, and tangy all working together in harmony. The dishes often have aromatic herbs, rich coconut-based sauces, fresh vegetables, and layered spices, creating food that feels both comforting and vibrant. After tasting everything, we understood exactly what she meant. The flavors were bold yet balanced, fragrant without being overwhelming, and incredibly satisfying. Here's what we enjoyed: Lunch Specials * Pad Khee Mao (Drunken Noodles) * Spicy Basil Sauce * Pad Thai Regular Menu * Tom Yum Goong * Masaman Curry Dessert * Banana Sticky Rice Drink * Thai Iced Tea Every single dish--not just one--was exceptional. The balance of flavors from the central Thai style truly shines through: the brightness of the herbs, the warmth of the spices, the creaminess of the curries, and the freshness of the vegetables. You can taste the care and tradition in every bite. This restaurant deserves to be known and celebrated, and I'm sharing photos and videos so you can see exactly why. We even asked if we could meet Chef Patrick to thank him personally, and he kindly came out to greet us. It was such a thoughtful moment and made the experience even more special. Delicious food, warm hospitality, authentic Thai flavors, and a genuine family feel you simply can't beat this place. We absolutely cannot wait to return!

What a joy eating at Bangkok Station Thai food ! This place reminded us of our trip to Thailand. The flavors were authentic and spot on and the chef and the waitress made us feel like family. What an amazing neighborhood spot to have some amazing Thai food packed with authentic flavor! I really recommend you check them out and I'll be back on my next visit to Jersey !

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved this restaurant, it's very small but feels homey![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious and the staff were very kind, asking if any food was too spicy, and telling us stories! I had the basil fried rice with chicken with medium spice and it was perfect for me. Their Thai iced tea was very yummy as well :)

OK Thai food, but hard to differentiate them from the competition. I wish I had more great things to say, but, if I were being honest, I really don't. There are quite a few Thai restaurants in this neck of Bergen County and most of them serve a lunch special menu. Bangkok Station is no different. The food is a bit pricier here than other Thai restaurants and, unfortunately, the lunch special portions were smaller too. We ended up ordering a Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Pad See Ew. Both lunch specials came with 2 spring rolls. For $14.95 (As of Sept. 2022), we felt the portion was very small for what we paid. With inflation, it's understandable that prices have risen, but only half of the container comprised of the entree. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were OK. Not great, but not bad. We've definitely had much better, but, once again, it wasn't absolutely terrible. If you're seeking Thai food, Bangkok Station is OK, but, if you're ready to eat a cow, the portion might not satisfy your hunger.

Amazing. Has a very unique taste in the best way possible! Devoured every single bit and the service was great. $3 Thai iced tea is a perk too i ordered the chicken satay, pad kee mao (spicy) and pineapple fried rice--all i say are excellent. Highly recommend this place!!

A tiny restaurant but it was empty when we went there on a Saturday at 11.30am. I believe this is owned by a husband/wife couple. Food was good. I had my usual pad see ew with tofu and the flavor was great. My only complaint is that the portion is a little small so I was hungry after a few hours. Service was good, I appreciate the owner asking me if I wanted chopsticks and she was really friendly. I would definitely come back if I am around this area and hope more locals will support this business :)

Was going to go to a local favorite to get lunch, but I'm sure glad I checked out Bangkok Station instead! Pretty much a takeout place, as there's only table seating for 4 or 5 inside. Ordered the Drunken Noodles lunch and asked for it "spicy". 90% of the time dishes I order are not spicy, even if they're supposed to be, which is disappointing, as I feel the right amount of spice can really enhance a dish. Here, they got the spice level just right! Ingredients were also fresh and cooked to perfection! The included Spring Rolls were also very tasty! I really enjoyed my meal and I'm looking forward to going back! Check them out and help support this local restaurant!

This is THE BEST Thai Food around! Hands down! It is so fresh healthy and clean tasting!! The pad Thai had an amazing sweetness and lime zest to it. Words leisurely don't do the food justice! Let your taste buds do the talking for you! An experience you'll be grateful for! Your mouth will be exhilarated and your body satisfied They just opened and were ordered 3 times already! Must go!!!

Newly opened restaurant in the area, gotta check it out! I have ordered from here a few times now and have really enjoyed their lunch specials which comes with a drink and x2 spring rolls. Their dinner portion appears to be the same, so I kinda I wish the portion was slightly larger for dinner pricing. Nonetheless, the pad Kee mao was my favorite with the pad Thai not too far behind. Sometimes Thai restaurants can make their dishes too sweet, but this wasnt overly sweet and very authentic tasting. Just could use a tadd less salt. Overall, very much worth a try and the owner/lady at the front are extremely nice! Support your local businesses :)

Overpriced for the amount of food. Plus the Thai fried rice wasn't that good.. sad. It used to be good.

So my husband (who btw was my boyfriend in my 2013 Yelp review) treated me to dinner at the Green Papaya tonight after work. We started with homemade crispy tofu and veggie spring rolls. Then for entrees, we ended up getting Malaysian Curry dishes. I wanted a soup - so I went with the noodle soup dinner. The coconut curry broth was delicious! My husband went with the curry entre (over rice with a small salad on the side). He said it was very good. The host was great; she was so friendly and welcoming. The food, hospitality, and overall vibe are what bring in the regular customers. We were surrounded by regular customers, as we kept hearing people at other tables rave about the place or say "good to see you" to staff there. It feels very cheery there. Nothing from my original Yelp review has really changed - except now I'm giving it a 5 stars! The Green Papaya is one wonderful Thai-fusion eatery!

A bit on the small side, but it was only $5, so you figure that would be the case that it was a small serving. The curry was a bit watery though. ++++ Tropical Mango with White Rice - Solid. Lots of mango slices and 6 pieces of large shrimp. Also, lots of tropical, sweet sauce, which made it delicious. ++++ Pad See Ew with Beef - Fantastic! Came out piping hot and fresh with plenty of beef and veggies. Portion was pretty big too. Personally, one of the best Pad See Ew entrees I've had in NJ still. ++++ Chinese Broccoli with Chicken and White Rice - Excellllllent. The chicken and Chinese broccoli had LOTS of sauce and there were carrots and mushrooms mixed in. The chicken was surprisingly pretty tender for chicken breast. + Employees were very friendly and prompt, always filling our hot teas. + Food came out blazzzingly fast, within minutes of us ordering. + Not a huge restaurant, but still plenty of tables and seats. + Private parking lot to the side. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Came on a Saturday evening from 5:45-7 and it was quiet at first, but a steady stream of customers came in - mostly families - however, there were still open tables. CONCLUSION -------------------- - Unsurprisingly, the food during our dine-in experience was even better than when we did takeout! Definitely a solid Thai food option in the area!

We were craving some sort of Asian cuisine, and I had had DD Thai bookmarked to try, so we headed to the restaurant. The small place was tucked away in a strip mall, just off the highway. We parked the car and managed to get into the restaurant without slipping on the massive amounts of black ice that had accumulated in the lot. The restaurant's decor was lacking in that the booths on the right side of the place had ripped upholstery and the seating on the left side was in better condition, but mismatched. Despite the furniture, the woman running the front of the house was very sweet, and the food was great! We started with the Curry Puff appetizer. The 3 large dumplings had been completely stuffed with a sweet chicken curry, while the fried, flaky exterior was a nice golden brown color and not at all greasy. My Pad See Ew with Chicken was very flavorful and perfectly cooked, though it could have used a tad more sauce. My companion felt the same about his Drunken Noodles, which he similarly scarfed up, though he would have preferred more spice. I have now tried several Thai restaurants in Bergen County and many of them have fallen short on delivering the flavorful impact I would expect from the cuisine. However, DD Thai was definitely one of the better ones in the area!

I paired my meal with a Thai iced tea -- flavorful and refreshing, just not overly sweet (which some people might actually prefer). Appetizers: The curry puffs were delicious -- flaky, flavorful, but I definitely wished there were more than three. Chicken satay was well executed, but the honey ribs completely stole the spotlight. Super tender, flavorful, and easily the must-order on the starter list. Entrees: We ordered the deep fried filet snapper (with white rice) and the chicken Khao Soi. The Khao Soi was the standout of the night -- perfectly cooked noodles and a rich, coconut curry broth that was easily 10/10. The snapper was fried beautifully, and the mixed vegetables tasted incredibly fresh and bright -- almost ceviche-like in flavor.
