Great location, wonderful authentic Thai Food and colorful Thai decor. I had chicken panang and Thai tea, my friend had water and chicken chowmein noodles. Everything was cooked to perfection and other plates for other customers looked devine. I was looking forward to the food since the reviews on Yelp were good. But honestly the food looked okay presentation wise, but the right ingredients and flavor were missing from each dish. This is not Thai food. But then again the majority of people that was there weren't Thai. So they really don't know. We had ordered chicken Pad Thai and it was missing green onions, bean sprouts and some flavor. The coconut soup was the same and the fried rice was too saucy. We were highly disappointed. Gave this place a try on a random night and I'm not sure about it. I got the Pad Thai- hot spice level and the combination appetizers. The apps were really good, but I was not impressed by the pad Thai at all. The crab Rangoons were actually the best I've had in a while. The pad Thai was just pretty basic in my opinion- spice level was nice- but not a lot of other flavor going on. We've been looking for a good Thai restaurant in St. George and we really like this place. (We've gone to Benja's a few times and we only liked it the first time and have been disappointed every time after) Bangkok is small and quaint. The service is good. The Thai music in the background is nice. Food comes fast! The steamed potstickers, pad Thai, red curry (better than their massaman curry), the Tom yum soup, the mixed vegetable plate with chicken, and the beef salad were all pretty amazing!! Their mango sticky rice is very good but we shouldn't have ordered it in the winter when good mangos are hard to find. read more

Masaman curry with chicken & potatoes, coconut milk, carrots and peanuts,, perfect over dish of Jasmine rice. A side of mint tea provided a refreshing beverage. Service was attentive but not rushed. Food delivery was within 10 minutes. We arrived at 11:30 a.m. upon opening, seating is limited to 4 booths for 2 and 1 table for 5-6. There is no delivery (I don't know about doordash or ubereats) but you can order and pickup or dine-in. NOTE: closed on Mondays (Open Tues-Sunday) no beer or wine. This little tucked away gem has patrons cheering for their success, while worried about popularity spoiling what makes it so cozy and attractive. Rock on Bankok Thai. I grew up on the West Coast in a city where there's Thai on every other block and this is some of the best, most flavorful Thai food I've had the pleasure of eating. It looks very small from the outside but spacious once you go inside. Visiting from Los Angeles, and had a craving for some Panang curry. Oh my goodness! It was so yummy!! Service was friendly and fast. It was not at all busy, which may have been because I was there about 7:30 pm on a Monday. Cozy dining area, and also had a couple of bistro tables outside. It's tucked away in the same parking lot as Bishop's Cafe, and not too far from Costco. I really hope the locals support their business. Really great, authentic Thai cuisine! read more

Great Thai food option for St George. We love the curries, and we usually go meatless and add veggies. I'll say that their veggies in the curry are excellent. Not over-cooked and they are a great quality overall. So far the green curry has been my favorite, but have also really enjoyed the red and panang curry. We had some friends order one of their salads and they said it was amazing. Seating area is fairly limited, but they've done a great job utilizing the space available. The staff is very friendly and provide the perfect amount of service (not too much and not too little). I also love that it is Mom and Pop type place. I love having these options in St George, since it is very saturated with chain restaurants. read more

We were a party of 4. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and not pretentious. There is not a lot of seating but I really liked the small, quaint feeling. Food came out fast and each of us were pleased with our dishes and each said it's now on our list of restaurant to come back to. We had the steamed dumplings and coconut shrimp as appetizers. Both we adequate, but nothing spectacular. 2 of us had the drunken noodles, one with beef and one with pork. It was delicious. I can see myself getting this to-go on a regular basis. Another in the group had the pineapple curry and sad it was delicious and they'd be making it a regular item for them also. The last person had the Panang Curry and also liked it. Each person also got to choose the level of heat in the dish. We will be back. Bangkok Thai Express is definitely a restaurant we like. read more

I ordered pad Thai and steamed potstickers. the potstickers were ok, not impressive, but ok, edible. the pad Thai, which I ordered with no sprouts, and mild, did come that way. I ordered it with chicken, which the chicken tasted funny, cant put my finger on it, but it's off tasting. it lacks flavor and didn't have much sauce. perhaps it's bc I asked for Mild, but imo, it should still be flavorful without the heat. it was packed in there when I picked up my food so I assumed it would be very good. I'm really disappointed. having come from a larger city, and a foodie town at that, I know what good Thai tastes like. and sadly, this isn't it. Quick, casual, cute little place. There are only a few tables, but this place is an "express" so they seem to expect mostly to go orders. When looking at Google trying to decide on a late night spot that was still open and not packed the "express" was omitted from the title, had it not been we probably would have passed this place up. So glad we didn't. We arrived at 830 on a Saturday(they close at 9), the woman behind the counter asked if we wanted to place an order to go...we wanted to sit down. Not wanting to be rude I asked if it was ok to be seated. She reiterated they'd close soon. My bf said we would be quick and asked again if it was ok to be seated and she said yes. I felt a little bad after that point because I'm sure they wanted to start cleaning and closing up shop. We already knew what we wanted so we ordered quickly. She was very polite and friendly and did nothing to make us feel rushed. My guy got massaman curry, I ordered a bowl of tom kha, we also got an order of wontons to share. The sauce for the wontons was yummy, but the wrappers for the wonton were very fragile and dry. They had to be consumed in one bite otherwise the wrapper just crumbled apart-leaving a blob of cream cheese to hold or fish out of the sauce. The filling tasted flavorful but the very center was still cold. We weren't too bothered as it was so late and we felt a bit intrusive. The entrees arrived steaming hot- since we were trying to hurry we burned our mouths a bit. But it was worth it. The tom kha was savory, sweet and delicious in a very gentle way. I wish there were more mushrooms and that the generous portion onion was cooked down a bit softer. BUT, it was still very good. The massaman was absolutely delicious, roasted peanutty notes, bold massaman flavor with a heavier fish sauce flavoring the dish. The rice that arrived with it was perfect. Again there was an overwhelming amount of raw onion but it did not ruin the dish. This was some of the best massaman we've ever had. She did not ask our spice level for either dish-i like it HOT. But there were hot chili flakes already on the table to add as well as Sriracha and soy sauce. The table also had a vase w an artificial white hydrangea. Again, this place was tiny, but the decor was inviting and comfortable. We were alone, there was music playing and we were so happy to have chosen this place over loud, local favorite angelicas-which we walked out of 10 minutes earlier. Be aware, soda is given in cans with no refills. We will definitely return, tip well and give ourselves more time to enjoy next visit. Thank you! read more

First I will say, the place is lovely, service is ok and the food tastes wonderful, however my negative review is that I have celiac disease and I asked them if the pad Thai was gluten free. Which most often it is, and they conferred in Taiwanese about it and said yes. I asked if the noodles were rice and the sauce didn't have gluten and they agreed. So I ordered, and have never been sicker. Definitely gluten in it so I do not recommend. Stay away if you have celiac or any other food allergies. The negative review is if you have a food establishment you should be educated in food allergies and give proper allergy info when asked. read more
