This is another great option for quick but healthy food. Bango Bowls is a fast casual joint that has a surprisingly substantial menu. They offer bowls (grain, poke, and salad), acai, smoothies, toasts, Flaninis (pressed flatbread), oatmeal and drinks. Their newest location recently opened in New Hyde Park. We were in the neighborhood and decided to try them out this past weekend. We got: Bango Bowl with acai base, strawberries, bananas, granola, coconut, and drizzle of honey. I loved the granola oats used here at Bango Bowls. It was crispy, and light with a tinge of sweetness. The acai base was refreshing, and slightly tangy. Protein Toast on multigrain bread, mashed avocadoes, slices of hard-boiled egg and everything seasoning. This was my favorite dish from what we ordered. I thought the multigrain toast was delicious and went very well with the Everything seasoning that was sprinkled on top. We also ordered a Poke Bowl which was presented very nicely. I liked the time and care they took with making it look lovely. We got the Poke Bowl with white rice base, chopped romaine, marinated raw salmon, crispy onions, seaweed salad, edamame, cucumbers, and corn. We asked for a couple of dressings on the side (Balsamic vinaigrette and Lemon Basil Ranch) so I wasn't expecting to have them also put soy sauce dressing all over the poke bowl. I kind of wished they just gave it to us plain without any dressing as I didn't care too much for the soy sauce dressing. They put way too much and made the bowl too salty. Other than that, all of the ingredients tasted fresh, and the bowl was very filling. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to revisit, I would still recommend you give them a try if you are in the neighborhood. The staff is lovely, the food is fresh and made to order, not to mention healthy.

Pretty new in the area, took over the old E fresh on Union. It's a pretty space with about two tables for seating. I went during lunch hour and they had a few people on the line. Although the name makes it seem like all they offer is acai bowls, they also offer savory options such as flat bread paninis and poke bowls. I got the dragon bowl in their 16oz size which was about $10. It was pretty filling and a good mix of granola, fruit, and base. The only thing I would've liked more of is the base. It looks like I had a lot but biting into the mix, I felt like I got a whole lot of granola. But regardless, overall it was yummy and I would come back to try more things

For the smoothie it's 98% ice and no substantial fruit. They upcharged me $1 for oat milk but they did not inform me that oat milk is extra. You're suppose to give the customer the choice if they want to pay for the upsell or not. The cashier never mentioned that it was extra. To make matters worse. I called the store and told them that the smoothie was watery and the cashier who made it said "that's just the way it is" "we follow a recipe, I don't know what to tell you" How atrocious is the lack of customer service skills and all around horrible problem solving skills. Never did she try to make up for it. I verbalized my unhappiness. I told her I'm throwing it away. She said ok. Never once did she offer to remake it, offer a credit for another smoothie on a different visit or a refund. There's so many different ways a company can make it right. The cashier is awful all around. I highly do not recommend. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Walking in, you see green, lots of it in the form of lush plants and flowers everywhere. There is no over powering scents and the high ceilings do make the space feel open and calm. The counter to order is closer to the rear of the store and there's plenty of cafe style seating and communal seating all around. In warmer months, they put small tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk. The artisanal coffee here is what sets them apart. Bold flavor choices, robust and velvety varieties. Many options to choose from, check out the menu pics. I had the Americano and loved it. We also ordered hot food while hanging out. As they are popular for brunch, Jo and I shared the lemon curd blueberry pancakes as well as the savory salmon lox pancake. We likely over ordered but didn't mind, as we're always open to trying more dishes. The lemon curd blueberry was our favorite. I liked that there was extra lemon curd on the side and the blueberries were fresh. They were lightly dusted with powered sugar and thankfully not bathed in syrup. It was a light and satisfying dish even though it was pancakes. Didn't feel heavy at all. The ice cream was a nice touch so you could consider this as a dessert. The lox and eggs were really good as well. Those pancakes were topped with tomato, greens and avocado. Like a full meal on a plate. So glad we shared everything. I'd totally recommend a dine in experience so you can try the food once it's prepared. We both bought sandwiches to go for our family and those held up well considering it needed to be transported home. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant sandwich.

For the people that didn't get the acronym. I mean I had good reasons to be in there. I haven't had Red Mango in a long time, they are tasty, AND... It was hot out. The facility was pretty clean and tidy, customer were pouring in. I followed suite with a small amount of of peanut butter froyo with almonds, walnuts, and almond butter topping. It was really delicious and it had a slight peanut butter taste, not too dominant and it didn't taste artificial. The toppings complimented this FROYO and gave it that extra umph! The young lady associate was very energetic and enthusiastic on this hot forth of July! I commend her in how she handled the crowd all by her lonesome. I felt really bad for her because one customer made a mess, but despite the mess, the crowd, and working alone she remained serene. I give her a standing ovation, a job well done, and she didn't asked if the order was to go, I think she used the old Jedi mind trick and said, this is to stay right. I contemplated quickly and accessed the scorching heat outside and obliged with yes. I really didn't want to eat and drive. By dining in, the FROYO was even better and more enjoyable. I'd like to encourage you to stop by a Red Mango in your area and don't be in a rush, sit, enjoy..Oh and most importantly.... Inspire more,Yelp more!
