UPDATE* I always say, one employee can make a difference with a customers experience. They can make a 5 star into a 1 star review and vice versa. I went into Chopt today 7/4 and had a totally different experience. The young lady was bending down, when she looked up and saw me, she gave a look of being surprised with a smile. She greeted me and offered her assistance. I ordered the southwest salad, she offered me to select another protein because the steak was finished. She also allowed me to omit the corn and substitute it with olives. She was very pleasant and helpful. .. her name is Janeiry. What an exceptional employee. Janeiry was no way shy about explaining anything and offered me to create my own toppings or salad. I hope Janeiry is recognizes as the module employee for not only giving 5 star service, but for converting 1 star back into a 5 star review and for making me a very happy customer. My husband was in the mood for his favorite, the Santa Fe Salad, this evening, so I placed the order through Uber Eats for pickup. When I arrived, Zannat was behind the counter. She greeted me warmly, quickly located my order, and prepared it exactly as requested-- heavy dressing and several additional ingredients I had selected. The entire process was smooth and efficient, and her attention to detail did not go unnoticed. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the salad for dinner and was very happy with it. The business seems to have a very minimalist feel, there are limited seats and a lot of space on the premises. Ended up ordering the apple orchard salad, with light balsamic dressing. It was a little more bland and felt healthier than I expected, but nonetheless did not disappoint. Kind of like Chipotle they just make it right in front of you which is pretty neat. A popular salad place in the area. It is in great location, near hospital, shopping stores and business establishments . We walked in on a perfect time, no visible lines until after 15 minutes or so. The menu board is easy to comprehend . There are plenty of options. We decided to do our own salad bowl. Just basic , no fancy thing. Standard choices. Pricier for any healthy options especially the proteins pick. Very few booths are available but the long table added for a secured spot. People come and go seems known for a pick up order. read more

My husband always talks about getting Chopt at his work so I was interested in trying it. We came to this location on a Saturday evening and it was completely empty. There were three workers and all of them didn't communicate much with us. Appreciated the huge menu on the wall and how there are wraps and hot bowls for those not feeling a cold salad. There are even kids options. I went with the kale salad, but the process was slightly confusing for a first time customer. The worker asked me how I want the sauce without explaining the options. I chose medium. It didn't look like a crazy amount of dressing but it was hella salty when I got home and ate it. Overall, it was a good salad though. They almost skimped us of our free slices of bread but my husband asked for the bread when he saw they weren't giving it to us. I was thinking the bread must taste really good if my husband was so adamant about receiving it but nope. It was a plain slice of limp bread that also tastes a bit stale. Who doesn't love a fresh chopped salad? I do wish this was more of a thing in Queens. We have these places peppered through, but they don't have as much of a presence as I would like. I kind of always steered away from Chopt locations in general. Every time I would go I would get disappointed in my salad and how much I was paying for it. This visit totally changed my tune. Game time decision was me ordering the Mexican Caesar salad. I swapped the spicy pickled peppers with cucumbers and added cojita cheese. Even as the staff was making the salad they were like, "This looks like a bangin' salad". And it really was! The chipotle chicken was UNREAL. I'm glad I chose the cucumbers. I didn't need acid I needed crunch. I also bought a tea by the brand Kirra. Omg, it's my new favorite! Someone tell me where I can buy more because Amazon seems to be out! Flying from La Guardia Xmas trip to see daughter in NYC. Chops at LaGuardia looked sounded appealing First tried the tahini lemon dressing. Terrible. Great quick salad spot. I ordered online and it was ready within 20 minutes. I went in to pick it up and everything was seamless. It was a quick grab and go. Inside looked really big but there were no inside seating available at this time. It was also very clean inside. I customized my own salad but you can also choose premade salads or warm bowls as well. It was full of fresh ingredients. I like that the salad is tossed so the ingredients are mixed within it already. They have a lot of toppings and dressings to choose from. I do appreciate that compared to the other Chopt locations (like Garden City) this location actually does chop your salad. Aka the greens aren't prechopped. I usually get the Kabob Cobb or Mexican Caesar here. And yes, Chopt salads consist of mostly greens and less of the other toppings. The worst Chop't I have been too, i ordered two kale Caesar salads with chicken. The pick-up section was totally chaotic the women in charge of pushing out the orders was also chaotic. Finally, she brought out my order went home (~10 minute drive) i noticed it was the completely wrong order. I drove right back to complain, the women i told didn't even apologized and said 'ok.' I finally got my order and double checked that there was chicken in the bowl and she pointed to the chicken. I got home and it's was literally just a bowl of romaine, no croutons, about 5 pieces of chicken which was basically white, did not look 'grilled' had no flavor, barley ANY kale and one side of dressing which didn't even cover half the salad bc it was completely PACKED with romaine lettuce. Unfortunately to say, I did not eat it. My advice, you are better off ordering in store then picking up but after that experience I will not be back. read more

So it happened again today!! I used to Love this convenient spot for my healthy salad near my office. I'm a pescatarian and meat or bacon bits in my salad is a NO! NO!!! I will get sick!!! This happened once approx year ago... the manager was nice to contact me and refund my salad. I've had occasions where they have been delayed due to the high volume of customers during lunch rush... which is understandable. I even had occasions where they gave me some totally different warm bowl order and they have been kind to correct. But this again today is totally unacceptable!! There's bacon bits in my salad! Spit out and thrown away! There is no care or respect for people who have strict diets. If you eat anything... then this place is good to go but not for vegetarians or pescatarians. Wait. That's not how you spell chopped. What kinda racket are they trying to pull in New Hyde Park?! Apparently, it's a healthfully tasty racket. I visited Chopt (teachers, look past the spelling) a few days ago and you can bet your lettuce I'll be back again soon. It was my virgin run at a Chopt as I had never been to the Woodbury location or any NYC storefronts. That might have to change because I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of my grub. The girlfriend accompanied me and we strolled into a bright, clean cut interior. We walked up and perused the menu (one on the wall and several handhelds right on the line). There are plenty of intriguing mixtures that Chopt has concocted, each with a respectably low calorie count. Light, bold, classics, and grain to give some variety. Not feelin' em? Make up your own salad. There are tons of ingredients to choose from. The semi-friendly staff will guide things along. We optioned for a "bold" choice and shared the Kebab Cobb. Grilled chicken, feta, charred red onion, spicy peppers, pita chips, romaine, and a Greek yogurt tzatziki dressing. Now here's where things veer away from the usual salad spot. Chopt will take your salad and (you guessed it) chop the dang thing up! You won't know how much you love this until it's done to your bowl of greens. Once sliced and diced, we took our bowl (and a piece of bread given to us on the side) over to a table to chow down. Wow. Beyond the fact that the ingredients were fresh, flavorful, and worked well together, the chopped movement did wonders in mixing everything together nicely. I make salads a lot and I wish I could do this to my own bowls. I need one of those blades they use...on second thought, I'll keep my fingers and leave them to it. But really, this was an enjoyable salad and for the price, pretty decent in size (bread was a non-factor). Overall, Chopt is a super cool concept (I know I'm a little late to the party, sorry). The salad selections and taste seem superb and I'm thinking this will become a regular stop in for me. Having said all that, I'm starting things off on 4 stars just because I want to try it a few more times, especially being so close, before I go for all the glory. So get to Chopt and give it a go, no matter the spelling. read more

I walked out after a very long amount of time waiting for one employee to make salads for two people in front of me; he had very poor food handling skills and was cross contaminating excessively. There were flies buzzing around the dressings. I lost my appetite and left with no salad. It's too bad because Chop't is a great company, this location needs to train staff better. read more

A little pricey, but as someone who has been very strict with their diet for the better park of the year, this place is a godsend. With plenty of salads and soups on the menu, there is something for everyone. It's also fun to watch them chop the salad right in front of you. I got the Palm Beach salad with shrimp and with the dressing on the side. I took it to go but would have stayed to eat if I didn't have groceries in the car. I brought the salad home, added some lemon juice to it and was a happy camper. The staff was really nice and attentive. The restaurant was super clean, bright and well-designed.
