I always…read morelike to look ahead on Yelp and Google for local vegan joints to try when we're somewhere new and this one stuck out to me. I was just as excited to come here as I was for the concert! First of all, the service was SO PERSONAL. Everyone there was so friendly, chatting with us about veganism, etc. The owner especially was so sweet and made us feel like we were really being taken care of. We didn't want to go crazy with ordering since we were going to be going to a concert right after and tried to order light by sharing the jerk chicken sandwich, a pumpkin patty and a jackfruit/chickpea patty, cassava fries, and a slice of pie which I think they said was some type of potato "pudding"? Everything was so delicious, substantial, and satisfying! The cassava fries were light and not greasy at all but still had so much unique flavor, I was swooning over them! The jerk chicken was out of this world and I regret not getting a whole one for myself! The seasoning, the crisp of the "chicken," even the bread it was on was perfect. Both patties were warm and savory, a perfect handheld snack. AND THAT PIE! Unlike anything I have ever eaten - it was just the right amount of sweet, loaded with spices and flavor, dense and chewy. One of those things that you eat and then can't stop thinking about. We had half of it saved and I'm not going to lie - I thought about it a few times during the concert and then immediately dug into it in the car afterward! I don't want to come back here, I NEED to come back. The menu is so extensive and I want to try some of the entrees - hoe many places do you know that serve vegan oxtail?? I need to try it. I am so happy that we found Toma-Tis and I will be recommending it all of my friends, vegan or not! (FWIW, my husband is not vegan and he devoured everything happily!) If you live nearby, I am so jealous. I would be a regular if I did!

Went here with a vegetarian friend, who is also not a huge fan of the veggie burgers that taste too…read moremuch like meat. It was a risk, because you know how vegetarians can get about cheese (I'm vegan now. When I used to be vegetarian, I'd get annoyed if a meal didn't have cheese in it, or if it had vegan cheese. I've noticed that a lot of my currently vegetarian friends are the same.) , but I figured that he would be cool about it, because he knew that there wasn't much else in the area that I could eat that had a/c. I love my city, but the restaurants need to get their a/c game in order. This is a slightly elevated burger joint. The options are meant to be on the healthier side, so they do stuff like sweet potato fries or a side salad with the burgers instead of potato fries. Here's my tip: get the salad. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how much flavour they can pack into a small but mighty green salad with some dressing on the side. It'll mean that you can avoid eating sweet potatoes (unless you like sweet potato, in which case, you're at the right place). That said, the side salad was excellent. Crisp greens, and a few bonus veg, with a creamy tasting dressing. No complaints, 5 stars. My friend got the black bean burger, and I got the chickpea burger. We got the burgers exactly a said on the menu with no customisation. This was a very VERY good choice. The chefs at Brick City Vegan know what they're doing, and they absolutely season the heck out of the food. Everything tasted so good, and the table fell silent as we demolished the food in front of us in the cool a/c. There was a napkin dispenser on the table, which you will need, because the burgers are generously sauced, and a bit of a mess to eat. Who cares? The food is incredible, and just the right amount of filling. Both of us ate every last morsel, and left feeling satisfied. For both of our burgers, I think it was less than $30 grand total after taxes. Not the cheapest meal, but certainly not at all expensive by vegan standards.

This is much more like a pizzeria. Great they offer vegan options along with traditional. I went at about 4 on a Friday. Be aware that parking can be tough, even with a lot available in the rear. When I got in, it was pretty busy. These guys are working hard on orders! The pickup rack was completely full. I haven't been here in a couple of years. I used to come for the vegan slices. A deal to good to pass was in Uber Eats, so I returned. This time I tried a non vegan option for the first time. My order was Chicken Parm, pesto garlic knots and carrot cake. The Parm arrived hot. It was a large enough portion for two big backs and three if you are a small back. Definitely enough to eat some today and some tomorrow. It was good, But I felt the sauce was a tad bit too salty for my liking. But it didn't make it not good. The good amount of cheese was on top. Nice and gooey. The pesto knots were warm and soft. They had a coding of oil, garlic and pesto. Very good. The meal also came with its own side of bread. The carrot cake was moist and good. I definitely hope this deal continues. I might come once a week.
