The owner was really nice and friendly. We ordered at the counter and sat down at a table to wait for our food. While waiting, we noted several people picking up to-go orders. We ordered: * combination pho - solid, wish there was more meat but worth the price. They put bean sprouts into their pho so if you don't want it, be sure to let them know. * grilled pork rice plate w/a fried egg. It comes with fresh veggies: cucumbers and tomatoes along with pickled carrots & radish. The pork tastes so good, thin sliced chargrilled. * house sauce chicken wings - the house sauce is Vietnamese fish sauce and us really good. Don't skip on this appetizer! I can't remember the last time I saw Vietnamese entrees for less than $10! I was skeptical walking in but happily full by the time I left. I hadn't been here because I thought it was the same place. It used to be, which did have great food. I was looking in yelp for a close to me to grab a quick bite for dinner. I came across this when I searched Vietnamese food .and I hadn't been so I came. Pleasantly surprise, great food and the service is so friendly and outstanding. The place is also very clean easy parking as it's in a non-descript shopping strip off 290. The food was great. I wasn't very hungry side the veggie rolls they have limited, but do you have vegan options. My friend flexitarian had the shrimp and lo mein which she really loved I enjoyed the Vera's very pleasant experience. I would give this a first choice in the area. the best thing here in my humble opinion, is the chicken wings, lemon pepper specifically! we tried all the wing flavors, the other flavors which is like fish sauce/ sweet and spicy are wet sauce, the lemon pepper is dry. When you order it with rice, it'll come with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and fish sauce. Caution though, the wings are small. The banh mi is decent, sometimes, there's not enough cucumbers, it is technically a small business and a small team. I think that the speed of how things come out, with the team that they have is amazing. It's like a hole in the wall when you walk in, it's a local spot with un updated interior. It's a small operation with a laid back interior and supplies stacked near the bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised that one can purchase a $5 banh mi here. Be careful when ordering though. I ordered a banh mi with bbq pork and ham, thinking it was thit nuong, but instead it was sliced pork. Turns out the grilled pork is the marinated pork I was seeking. Oops. I ended up ordering the correct one afterwards. The bread was nice and warm and flakey on the outside. Perfect! The meat was on the salty side but all right. I couldn't taste the pate I ordered as an add on, and there was barely any of it present. Ah well. There was one man at the counter, probably the owner that kept disappearing into the kitchen while customers were waiting in line. Perhaps he was training the other employee? I loved my plate of food! I ordered one of the rice plates with chicken. It was super fresh, and great portioning. I also tried the banh mi. The bread was soft and veggies were crisp and delicious. There was only one person working the store, and he was really nice, but probably would have benefited from another person helping to run the store, since there were quite a few customers on a Saturday. It was also a bit warm in the the restaurant, but the worker pointed us toward the table with the AC unit right above us. I saw many people ordering to go, so I know the food is a hit in the area. There is nothing more satisfying than a good and flavorful banh mi when the craving kicks in. I have tried banh mis from many many restaurants over the years, and I think this might be my favorite yet. I visited for the first time yesterday, ordering the grilled chicken banh mi. I was blown away. While a simple dish, it was oh so flavorful. The grilled chicken was tender, juicy, and oh so flavorful. The veggies were fresh and crisp. And the aioli gave it all a great flavor profile! Not to mention how soft and perfect the bread was. Ever since Les Givral's shuttered, I've been on the hunt for a banh mi that lived up to that similar simple but quality taste. I think Banh Mi N More definitely supersedes! I came in close to closing time and the gentleman working was very nice and provided such kind and quick service. The dining area is clean and the atmosphere feels cozy. Will definitely have to come back and dine in sometime. Overall, I'm happy to have found this restaurant and look forward to coming back to try some other dishes! Good little local hole in the wall , tucked away in a strip center. I had the Pho Tai, add extra meat, although I think they forgot about the extra meat part. The broth had great flavor, and the noodles were fresh tasting. I also had the Pork Spring Rolls, these were very good, and paired well with the Fish sauce I ordered with them.
